Brrr!
Torches lit up with flames, flickering constantly due to the fierce wind rushing into the dark cave. A figure shrouded in darkness sat on a bone throne, its eyes transparent with countless souls dancing within its eyes. Eerie cries and screams resonated from his being, creating a strange and uncomfortable atmosphere.
In the brighter part of the cave was a lady with a mixture of silver and purple hair. She had what could only consider perfect skin, a slender finger but perfect size boobs and butt. Her red nails were fairly long, and her body was adorned with unique tattoos that looked more like ancient texts.
Dressed in a loose purple kimono, her heavy bosoms were visible, and her face was covered by a fox-shaped mask adorned with a mixture of purple and white colors.
"Report!" The voice resonating from the darkness boomed, making the cave tremble.
The lady shivered, fear visible in her eyes, but the mask did well to hide her facial expression.
"My spies have confirmed that the son of the Nether Lord survived the seal and the awakening process." She reported hastily. "He has gotten his hands on that man's diary and must have learned of your existence already."
An eerie silence followed as the strange eyes in the darkness remained pinned on the lady as it pondered in silence.
"Why has he not been killed yet?" The voice finally asked in an indifferent tone.
"My spies… they have failed to get close to him! That cursed butler… He is suspicious of the maids and guards, so he stays at his side at all times." She said between gasps.
"You did not answer my question…" The voice seemed unmoved by her excuse. "Why has he not been killed yet?"
Hearing the voice repeat its question with a hint of annoyance in its tone, the lady was shaken and quickly kowtowed in submission.
"Forgive me lord seventh but, that old butler is a tier three ember sage, rumored to be on par if not stronger than the infernal general of the sixth tribe. Sending in anyone of high level will instantly be spotted and killed. Your plans will be exposed!" she quivered in fear, barely speaking properly.
Following this explanation, another silence filled the cave and the pair of eyes remained pinned on the lady, but it seemed to be contemplating.
"He has currently moved to the academy of guardians, where the butler cannot protect him. I have a few spies in the academy and while they are all at the first tier just like the boy they have more experience. He will be killed the very moment they find an opportunity!" She pleaded.
"Mikasa…" The voice called out, strangely calm.
Hearing her name, the lady flinched, but quickly raised her head to meet the gaze of the Seventh demon general.
"Y-yes, m-my lord?" She asked in a shaky tone.
"Two years ago, the Firefox clan was on the brink of destruction at the hands of the other fox clans. I came in and gave you hope and power to dominate your enemies and suppress them." The voice seemed calm, but for some reason, each word it said made Mikasa shiver. "Today, the Firefox clan stands above its former rivals. All I ask of you is to kill this boy, and I hope you do not disappoint me."
"Never! I, Mikasa of the Firefox tribe, shall not disappoint Lord Seventh! Should my subordinates fail to take his life, I will personally charge into Aetheria and kill him, even at the cost of my life!" She screamed with a mixture of fear and passion in her voice.
"Good… Good!" The voice laughed, clearly satisfied by her response.
…
Meanwhile, after the speech from the dean, Sol returned to his dormitory, completely worn out. They had to wait back to receive their room key cards which was shocking to him because he still couldn't grasp the timeline he was living in.
He had seen people wear ancient robes but there were also people wearing revealing clothes and more modern attires. For mobility, they still used horses and carriages but from the little Sol had found out, teleportation platforms and formations also exist. It was like this existed both in the past and future at the same time.
But after thinking about it a bit more he found it reasonable. This was the world holding together all the realms together, having knowledge of the past and future shouldn't be impossible.
Arriving at room 303 which was boldly inscribed on his key card, Sol swiped it against a modern-looking sensor next to the door knob, and an unlocking sound was heard. He pushed the door open and entered to see a fairly spacious room with white walls.
Natural light from the large windows at the far end of the room poured in, giving the space a serene vibe. By the left was a bookshelf with books of various kinds and beside it was a sturdy wooden desk equipped with a comfortable chair.
As he put down his key card on the reading desk, Sol walked up to the bookshelf and decided to go through a few. He picked some out and realized they were books covering the history of the Aetheria, the Ark family ember flow martial techniques, special abilities of all six Ark tribes, and so on.
He realized that Chamberlain must have had them prepare these books for him, to give him the basics he was lacking due to his faulty memory.
Sigh!
Sol let out a heavy sigh. He felt incredibly lucky to have Chamberlain by his side because he was certain things would have been difficult for him in this world if he didn't have someone to guide him patiently.
"To think a self-made billionaire is starting life all over again in a crazy world like this. Amazing" He chuckled before he directed his attention elsewhere.
Not far from the window was a cozy king-sized bed with a nightstand and a lamp. Sol's attention shifted to the compact wardrobe opposite the bed. Considering its size, he believed it had plenty of storage space for clothing and personal belongings. so he walked up to it and opened it up to see his clothes and belongings neatly arranged.
Sol shut the wardrobe door and turned to the left, that's to look at the full-length mirror hanging next to the bathroom door.
He was satisfied with his room but couldn't help but ponder on a problem he only noticed recently.
The academy was filled with gorgeous ladies from all races, but for some reason, he couldn't feel anything. There was no chemical reaction from his body, neither was there any form of arousal when looking at the cute vampire girls in skimpy skirts.
"What's going on?" He muttered in confusion.
Ding!
