Chereads / Ark: Sol Alpha / Chapter 17 - Kevin Ranga

Chapter 17 - Kevin Ranga

Sol woke up the next morning, tired and depressed. He spent most of the night thinking about his impotence caused by the seal, and his hatred for the witches grew. He felt this way not because he wanted to sleep with people in the academy or because he had found someone who caught his attention, but because he wanted to rectify the mistake he made in his past life.

A man's legacy is useless without the hope of continuity. In his past life, he achieved a lot and amassed wealth but was killed so easily. In death, he has no way of knowing if his family survived and how can his old parents fight against the monsters who wanted him dead.

They were too old to get involved in the power struggle of a billion-dollar company, and he also failed to groom someone who would take over from him. In reality, everything was lost with his death and slowly his name will fade out with time.

He was a nobody when he was born and died a nobody!

"Is there a way I can fix this defect?" Sol asked with a heavy sigh.

He didn't want to achieve everything in this world and not have someone to carry on from where he left off after his death.

'I don't want history to repeat itself.' He always said to himself.

[Of course! Once the seal is lifted, its effects will be gone as well. However, the damage it has done will remain. In the sexual aspect of your life, the host may suffer from minor side effects like erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation after the seal is removed]

Bam!

"Bitch!" Sol cursed furiously as he slammed his fist on the bed.

So even if he fought hard and found a way to remove the seal, he would become a one-minute man?

"I will eradicate the witch race! I swear it!" He screamed, his chest heaving heavily.

[Relax. Such minor problems have remedies in this world. As long as the host can lift the seal, he will be able to recover from the side effects.]

Sigh!

Sol let out a sigh of relief, feeling a heavyweight leave his shoulders. He sat up, only for his stomach to groan due to hunger, especially since he hadn't eaten the previous night.

Looking at the standing clock next to his bed, he realized it was already 7 am, and based on the academy calendar available in every room, classes started by 9 am.

'I still have enough time to get breakfast.' Sol jumped off his bed and ran into the bathroom.

After washing up, he picked out a black and red tracksuit since the class they had this morning was combat class. Sol applied some hair gel, tying his hair back into a ponytail before checking the time, but it was only 7:45 am.

'I have some time to enjoy breakfast.' He said with a smile before leaving his room for the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was a spacious and airy hall, filled with natural light streaming in through large windows that lined one side of the room. The high ceilings lent a sense of grandeur to the space, and the air was filled with the mixed aroma of various dishes.

Scattered throughout the cafeteria were clusters of tables and chairs, arranged to accommodate various group sizes and preferences.

At one end of the cafeteria stood a row of food stations, each offering a diverse array of culinary delights to suit every taste and dietary preference. From hot entrees and savory soups to fresh salads and decadent desserts.

Adjacent to the food stations was a beverage bar, where students could quench their thirst with an assortment of refreshing drinks. From freshly brewed coffee and aromatic teas to chilled juices and sparkling sodas.

Walking down the stairs, Sol's appearance got a lot of attention and numerous eyes were pinned on him, but he didn't really care. He casually picked up a food tray and joined the line.

"Hey…"

A low voice called out to him from behind. Sol squinted his eyes in annoyance since he just wanted to eat and get to class.

"Hey…" The voice called out again, leaving Sol frustrated.

He turned around to see a white-haired youth his age. He had unique gray eyes and was dressed in a gray tracksuit.

'An interesting choice of color.' Sol confessed.

He never thought the gray color would look this good on anyone until today. Meeting the gaze of the youth, he flinched and staggered back, bumping into those behind him.

"I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!" He apologized to them, bowing numerous times.

'Huh?' Sol didn't know what to make of this situation, so he just waited patiently.

The youth soon turned to him and slowly bowed nervously before speaking.

"I apologize for bothering you, but I had to get this off my chest." he apologized.

'Polite, passionate, naive' Sol concluded after observing for a while.

"Your name?" Sol cut him off with a simple question.

"Ooh, I am Kevin. Kevin Ranga." Kevin introduced himself, seemingly flustered.

His actions were strange for a guy, but his innocence seemed to catch Sol's attention.

"Okay, So tell me what it is you wanna say." Sol's defense had lowered after realizing Kevin's personality.

Hearing this, Kevin's eyes lit up, and he immediately took in deep breaths before speaking.

"I know who you are and what you have gone through in the past year. Seeing you come to the academy strong and confident had my heart racing… It made me excited, even though I wasn't a member of the sixth tribe." Kevin began explaining with his head lowered.

"Then I watched you confront the Dean. Even when speaking to someone clearly stronger than you, there was no fear. You stood tall and shut her down with confidence. I just wanted to say you are amazing, and I hope to become as bold as you someday!" Kevin said with immense passion that he didn't even notice his voice was growing louder by the second.

Even Sol was taken aback by Kevin's words and was unsure how to deal with it.
