"Eiko?? EIKO??", Shiro shouted. Tears fell down his face as he kneeled before the empty large pit that stood before him.
He tried to jump in the hole, however several of the police and firemen stopped him from entering, fearing that he might get hurt, however, he didn't care.
Weatherman then grabbed him by the collar before quickly dragging him away. Shiro shouted at him, "LET ME GO, I NEED TO FIND EIKO."
In response, Weatherman quickly punched the top of his skull while saying, "You need to calm down. It's still only 5 in the morning she is probably asleep in her bedroom somewhere."
Shiro hearing this quickly calmed down. Maybe he was just being over-protective and Eiko was sound asleep in bed still. While these thoughts ran through his head, the sounds of two stomachs growling could be heard emanating from the pair.
Weatherman then said, "How about we get something to eat first?"

"This is really my favourite place to eat! The English really know their stuff.", Weatherman said as he stuffed his mouth with food.
The two had gone to a buffet restaurant that was inspired by a place in England. They sat themselves on warm read seats with a lukewarm light, hanging above them. In front of Weatherman was a half-eaten plate of baked beans, toast, sunny eggs, bacon, black pudding, and tomatoes. Yet Shiro had a stack of pancakes covered in syrup.
"How can you enjoy that slop?" Shiro asked him, "You're making a mess everywhere with that."
"You cannot say much at all Shiro. Pancakes are an excuse to eat cake for breakfast. Instead of being so judgy how about you focus on your food?", he counted with.
Shiro sighing at him asked, "How can you even afford this, your a homeless-sensei."
"I told you I work for the government. Of course, I get paid, I was only on that street because I was a little exhausted.", he said shyly
As the two ate Weatherman began to take notice of a TV playing the news.
"We return back early to bring some devastating news. The disappearances have struck once again now marking the 502nd case. This time we were able to Identify one of the individuals as Satou Kageyama the son of a big shareholder in Takeda Pharmaceutical. He died at the young age of 16, and thus there will be a public funeral in his memory which will be run by his father and older brother, Katou and Yatou Kageyama. It will take place in the Heiwa Cathedral, on June 30th so until then enjoy the rest of your summer and stay safe."
Seeing this Weatherman face began to turn dark and serious. He then slammed his fist into the table while shouting, "DAMMIT, WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME."
Everyone in the diner looked towards him for a second before being quickly intimidated and turning away.
He then said, "Shiro, the longer we take the more people could die. We are going to start lesson 2 of your training right here and now."
"But why? I barely have psychic sense nailed down. I still need a couple more days to get used to this.", Shiro said in the complaint.
Weatherman responded with some encouraging words that gave Shiro a little more confidence, "I wasn't expecting you to learn psychic sense back in that building, but only to learn to feel psychic energy. Normally it would take a beginner-level psychic a year and a half to even start to feel the energy of others despite their whole surroundings. The fact that you achieved that level in a single night shows your immense talent for this."
hearing this Shiro felt a little bit better. Weatherman continued, "Since you can sense psychic energy now, you should be able to manipulate the energy in your body to some degree. The traits that we have are powered by that energy so the second we run out, our traits cease to function. In addition to traits, psychics can use other powers that can be mastered through training. These are called manipulation arts. Normal people who become spiritually aware can use these abilities with enough training to some degree, but never as good as one born with a trait. To begin with, there are 3 types of manipulation arts, Emission, Enhancement, and Reinforcement."
"Enhancement being the most uncomplicated of the three to use has its user reinforce their body with psychic energy. Reinforcement has the user manipulate their psychic energy to enhance the durability and strength of other objects. And finally, emission being the hardest of the three to learn, has the user release their psychic energy as a powerful tangible force."
Excitedly Shiro asked, "So if I learn emission then I could do a Kamehameha?"
"Yes but even with your talent it would take roughly 100 years for you to learn as it's that hard to master. Among all the psychics that I know, only 4 people can use emission to its fullest and even then, 2 of them are blessed by god. Their talent far surpasses yours."
Shiro suddenly began to sulk. Weatherman tried to cheer him up by saying, "There are plenty of strong users in the other category though. Im a Reinforcement user and look at me. Im quite strong aren't I?"
This only made him sulk even more as he said, "I don't want to be homeless like you."
Weatherman shouted, "Alright brat since you are so strong let's see which category you fall into then?"
He stood up quickly before grabbing Shiro by the collar and dragged him out of the restaurant. As they left Shiro shouted, "Hey wait! I didn't finish my pancakes."
As they walked Weatherman told him, "We don't have a lot of time left, you need to get strong enough before that funeral starts. I believe with one hundred percent certainty that they will appear at that funeral."
"Who?", Shiro asked.
"I can't tell you unless you plan on joining S.N.A.D. What I can tell you however is that they are the primary source of the trait-giving drug. If my hunch is right then the person causing those disappearances might even turn up."

Weatherman had taken Shiro to a rural place that seemed to be outside the city. There was a large vast field filled with green grass and other animals. Next to it was a bountiful forest and lying in between them was what seemed to be a wooden shack that was built lazily.
Shiro then frustratingly said, "Please don't tell me this is where you live.."
Weatherman laughed it off half-heartedly while defending himself, "I was only meant to stay in this city for 6 months, so I built this place out of necessity. Renting a place is troublesome and hotels are getting expensive."
He then cleared his throat signifying the end of the conversation, "Let's continue that lesson shall we? There is a simple test that we can do to check your affinity."
He then retreated into his shack before quickly returning with a wooden stick with strange symbols engraved on it.
"This is a psychic stick. It is made from spirit wood, which allows it to soak up much more psychic power than ordinary objects. It can be used to measure the amount of psychic power someone has, as well as the manipulation art that their body should be using."
Shiro suddenly felt the atmosphere around Weatherman change. As it did, the carvings of the stick changed. An immeasurable number of lines appeared on it that almost covered it.
Shiro in confusion said, "It feels different, but I can't really tell. What did you do?"
Weatherman responded, "The carvings represent how much psychic power you have, as you can see there are so many carvings on mine that its colour has almost completely changed. Next, we can check what kind of manipulation art my body is most accustomed to by doing this!"
He then raised the stick high into the sky, before swinging it down on the ground. As he did, a shock wave echoed across the ground shattering partially. Even then the fragile-looking stick was completely intact.
"As you can see, the durability of the stick has increased by a lot. This means that my body excels at Reinforcement. If I was an Emmitor on the other hand, then the stick would have blown up."
Seeing this Shiro immediately grabbed the stick from his hand and forced a bunch of his psychic power inside of it.
Shiro's face turned into that of despair while Weatherman began to burst out laughing at him. The number of carvings on the stick decreased exponentially to just 1/100th of the amount that Weatherman originally put into it.
Seeing this, he then smacked the stick into the ground with all his strength causing it to break. This only made Weatherman laugh even more.
As Shiro made a grumpy face, Weatherman patted him on the back while saying, "You were talking so much before, but there goes that Kamehameha that you wanted to perform. It turns out that you are the most common type of psychic, an Enhancer. You have even less psychic power than that Ikumi guy, and he was a false psychic."
Shiro became even more miserable as he said, "I was hoping that I could show this cool stuff to Eiko..."
Weatherman still patting on the back told him, "I know plenty of strong Enhancer users. Just because you can't shoot lasers doesn't mean you're weak. I have a friend in the P.E.S that's around your age. He is a ninja, that uses enhancement. If he got close enough he could probably take out some of the emmitors that I was talking about earlier."
Hearing this Shiros' mood brightened once more.
"We have 6 days until that funeral starts. In that time I'm gonna train you as best as I can. Until then we shouldn't be slacking off. You want to protect Eiko right?", Weatherman asked him.
Shiro nodded while saying, "Teach me everything I need. I won't let that murderer get away."
