💞Love from a distance: A tale of unexpected connection💞
💞Chapter 9💞
💞Ryan's POV💞
I just found myself staring at her, those cute eyes and plump lips. I dropped my phone and focused my attention on her.
51, 52, 53, 54...
"Just keep quiet," I said, irritated with the noise he was making.
"But sir..."
"Say it in your head and don't disturb me," I said coldly.
Liela's POV
We were done eating and the bill came, so I paid for the food and left the restaurant. I took out my phone and opened the Google Map.
"We are turning left," I said, and we turned left into the area. It had been some minutes, and we still hadn't reached the main road.
"Where are we now?" Tania asked impatiently.
"Hmm, Dab Alley," I said as I checked the map. I looked around and realized we hadn't passed this area on the way to the restaurant.
"Liela, we are lost, and I didn't see this on the way here, so that means we must have missed the turn," she said, panting.
"Calm down, Tania. Let's ask around to see if we can get help because I'm no longer relying on this map," I said, scanning the area. I didn't realize when an imposing figure came and grabbed my hand.
"You're pretty. Are you free tonight?" the man said.
"Let me go," I said, trying to pull my hand away, but he just gripped it tighter. Tania started hitting him, but he pushed her, and she fell to the ground.
"Tania, are you..." Before I could finish my sentence, I heard a deep, hoarse voice saying, "Leave her hands," and I turned to see a guy wearing a black hoodie, baggy black trousers, dark glasses, and a black mask.
"What if I don't?" the man said, and he received a blow to his face, making him scream in pain and release my hand.
"Get lost, fool," my savior said, and the man ran away.
"Thank you," I said, going to help Tania stand up.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, and she nodded.
I turned to see my savior already leaving and quickly went to catch up with him.
"Savior, do you know the way out to the main road?" I asked, hoping he would say yes.
He nodded and started walking away.
"Wait..."
"Let's follow him," Tania said, and we did. We followed him and eventually reached the main road.
"Thank you," I said once again, and he just nodded.
"Savior, can I know your name?"
"I don't have a name," he said, shocking me.
"Then how..."
"Diego," he said before leaving. I smiled sheepishly and left with Tania.
Ryan's POV
When they were done eating, they paid and stood up to leave. I told Marcus to stop the push up and follow me as we followed them.
"Sir, where are we going?" Marcus asked.
"Just keep quiet or I'll cut your tongue," I said, and we kept walking.
I realized that they didn't know the way back to the school since they had taken a lot of turns. I presumed they were following a map to get here. I wanted to meet her, but I stopped when I saw a guy holding her hands, and it looked like he was forcing her. I quickly put on my dark shades, approached the man, and told him to let go of her hands.
After the bad guy left, she thanked me, and I started to leave. However, she stopped me and asked if I knew the way out to the main road. I nodded, and she followed me out. Once we were on the main road, she thanked me once again and asked for my name. I told her I don't have a name and she was shocked. Knowing what she was about to say I said my name and left.
