It was the morning of the next day, just like with Alsvid, Adam trained Nathaniel the entire night as it turns out his father had taught him the basics of the new world. Nathaniel passed all his tests with flying colours but there wasn't a final showdown with spires as Adam couldn't afford to weaken the essence he's using to heal Alsvid. Adam was currently suffering severely from essence overuse and was at his weakest. He had no essence reinforcing his body to provide him a boost and he currently had holy saint active and continuously healing Alsvid who didn't seem to be getting any better.
"Adam, you don't seem too well, are you sure you don't want to rest?"
"It's fine, don't worry about it."
Adam made Nathaniel practice his essence control so he could get the hang of his body reinforcement skill. Additionally, he also taught him charged punch which was basically just the gathering of one's essence around their arm to deliver a powerful strike to the enemy. He explained to him that although he called the skill charged punch it could be applied to any part of the body for different results.
Although Adam had very little essence left, he used it all to keep Holy saint active. Holy saint then, using its staff would gather essence from the atmosphere and transform it into Adam's essence nature before sending it in waves through its cross into Alsvid's body to act as life support and to boost his natural healing as the essence itself wasn't doing its job which was to heal him.
After Nathaniel got the hang of the skills he became bored because of the lack of action or anything to do.
"Umm Adam, if I may aren't we too exposed out here? we should find a nearby forest cover and hideout until he recovers."
"No, it might be too risky to be moving his body around."
"Wouldn't you want just a slightly slowed recovery over one of our enemies stumbling upon us and killing him."
"Still, it's too risky currently, we need to wait until he is not at Death's door."
"Am just saying, what if someone attacks us right now, how do you intend to protect him in your condition, they'll kill both of you."
"It's very unlikely that someone would come looking for enemies out in the open like this."
"And yet the old man did, what if he comes back with more people considering he knows where we are."
"Fine."
With that, Adam tenderly picked up Alsvid's body and started moving in the opposite direction of where he met Kage as Nathaniel followed not knowing the direction to the forest.
After walking for about twenty minutes they came across a Bullock.
"Is that a spire, I've never seen one before."
"Ignore it, their peaceful unless one gets too close so if we stay away from it there shouldn't be any problem."
However before Adam finished his sentence Nathaniel bolted for the Bullock. As soon as he got close enough it charged at him. His physique along with his essence reinforcement allowed him to jump higher than a normal human being as he tried a different type of charged attack sending his essence into both his legs as he dropped down onto the Bullock's head crashing it, the momentum the caused him to tumble to the ground with the Bullock's body bearly avoiding the body falling on him. He quickly got up and dusted himself, when he looked back at Adam, he saw that Adam had continued walking while he was busy killing the Bullock.
"Hey Adam wait for me!"
"Am not going to wait for someone who recklessly charges into a pointless battle."
The journey continued like this with them randomly meeting Bullocks on the way and Nathaniel killing them swiftly with his new charged dropkick that he taught himself. At one point in the journey they ran into three Bullocks at once and Nathaniel tried his attack again. He succeeded in killing one but the others charged him, he managed to dodge both and tried to gain distance to try his attack again but the Bullocks were relentless in their pursuit as all Nathaniel could do was dodge. He tried to think of all the options available when suddenly he realized that Adam was still moving even in his current predicament.
"Wow, he really did mean it when he said he wouldn't wait."
In his moment of desperation to hurry and catch up to Adam, Nathaniel threw a charged punch without paying full attention to its preparation which resulted in him loosing control of his essence and firing a silver essence beam instead that killed one Bullock and damaged the other bad enough for it to run of terrified. He stood there stunned at his stupendous display as widely enough, he didn't look or feel as tired as Adam did. Remembering his apparition he quickly ran to catch up with Adam.
The emperor apparition, an apparition that allows its user to control the essence of supremacy allowing them to gain absolute authority over anything the essence came in contact with and more importantly, granting more essence than anyone around the user. Nathaniel Hawthorne had not discovered how to gain authority over things around him but the Apparition's passive worked slightly differently to expectations. When the user of the emperor apparition was near anyone with more essence than them, the apparition fills the user's body with a type of essence known as Spurious essence which was effectively essence of a lower quality than regular essence therefore the user would require more of this essence to utilize his skills but the apparition did nothing towards his progression in normal essence.
Instead of learning to control his essence more, Nathaniel took the loss of control over his essence as a new skill which he would perfect to strike enemies at a longer range since he had no reason to worry about essence consumption.
