Adam stood at the center of his large dome with his summons performing various tasks. Jellon floated just above his head and was destroying a couple hundred skeletons every minute with its tentacles, Noir stood directly by his side and fired of a powerful beam every thirty seconds that dealt very visible damage to the skeleton army, holy saint floated above dropping explosive beeds at random intervals in bundles of ten that caused large scale explosions around the dome and finally, the new being he had summoned. This new being was called god's guard and it was quite useful but useless at the same time given the circumstances. It was summoned a few minutes ago and when it first appeared it attracted the attention of both old man Noland and Nathaniel.
It was a human sized golden statue with fine tuned physique that stood directly in front of Adam. It interlaced its fingers while clasping its arms together in front of it when it appeared. It took approximately ten seconds for something to happen and something did happen. After an instantaneous bright flash of light ten exact copies of the statue appeared in a circular formation around Adam and Nathaniel. They quickly dashed into the sea of skeletons and started fighting. Unlike what was expected, the copies didn't do that well in their respective battles as they were swarmed and overwhelmed seconds after they entered the battlefield and it quickly become clear that their purpose was not to deal with the skeletons head on. This fact was drilled in when the very instant they died all ten copies exploded in a beautiful golden splendor which was immediately followed up by Holy saint's explosive beeds. This got rid of almost fifty percent of the army with the other summons dealing with an extra thirty percent. It looked like things would ease up a bit when suddenly laughter could be heard from the direction of the old man.
"Hahahahaha, you're amazing Ragon, this is amazing, I wasn't informed that you had so much power. Am guessing Kage didn't know considering he decided to attack you head on without my help. Am sure a person as powerful as yourself sees the problem in our little match don't you."
The zombie pounded on the dome once more as there seemed to be no sign of the dome weakening or shrinking, it didn't even flicker. Despite this seemingly indestructible dome providing protection Nathaniel was nervous.
"Adam, what does he mean by that, we are almost done with his army, the battle is coming to an end right, right Adam?" Nathaniel asked
There was no reply as Adam stood there looking intently into the old man's soul but refusing to engage in a conversation with the old man. Skeletons started reforming from the bones that were left behind by the destructive force of Adam's attacks but Adam was not going to let that happen. Ten more copies were created and with significantly less skeletons along with the air support from the saint the copies did better than last time before getting destroyed and taking down a majority of the remaining forces. More copies were created, they went out, exploded and more were created. Jellon struck relentlessly with its tentacles and the saint never stopped praying. It was at this point that Nathaniel realized what was going on.
"Adam, is this what he was talking about? you have to stop attacking immediately. Adam are you listening to me? Adam!"
It was no use as Adam was not listening to him. The explosions just kept on going.
"At this rate we'll be swarmed by those things, why are you still attacking them? We'll die if you don't stop." Nathaniel pleaded
It was still no use, Adam just would not stop attacking.
"Ahh I see you figured it out youngling. But it's too late, the damage has already been done. My army grows steadily and never stops, thanks for the new additions Adam."
"I know you have a lot of concerns Nathaniel. Trust me, I know what am doing." Adam spoke for the first time in a very long time.
"But what if you fail? The army, it's growing. Every skeleton you kill drops enough bones for two to be resurrected. We started of with a thousand of them but I can count more than three thousand of them currently. You don't have an infinite amount of essence I even saw you run out not too long ago, am scared Adam, I don't want to die here, please stop attacking." Nathaniel broke down crying.
Adam did not reply.
The army steadily grew. Eventually it's number became so great that the rate at which skeletons were resurrecting exceeded the rate at which they were dying and Adam's team fell into a worse situation than they were already in with so many skeletons surrounding them that the copies died sometimes even before they fully left the dome. Things were not looking up for Adam's team. Adam's new form slowly started fading as time went by. It wasn't fast as it occurred over the course of a few minutes rather than seconds but slowly it was fading, Adam was losing his golden luster. Nathaniel had already broken down crying and after realizing Adam was not going to stop what he was doing started to prepare himself to fight for his life already plotting was to escape when the dome gave out eventually.
"It was fun toying with you Ragon but sadly this has gone on long enough. You are severely outnumbered and quick recently outpowered. Give up and I'll make your death painless and quick."
Adam did not reply, he just kept intently looking into the old man's soul.
"I see you've made your choice."
Suddenly the ground rumbled, a huge arm burst out and landed on the ground connected to something bigger. A second arm burst out and landed near the first as something pulled itself out of the group, a second zombie giant had joined and started working with the first to try and destroy the shield. The skeleton army at this juncture crossed the ten thousand mark and kept rising, their numbers so great the only thing damaging to it being the saint's explosive beads.
