Finally, the edge of the forest they were going to could be seen off in the distance. They had travelled the rest of the way in complete silence and the journey was no short one as enough time had passed for Adam to fully recover his essence. They continued on slowly with every step feeling heavier than the last until they were mere meters away from the forest edge. It was at this moment that the floor could be felt tremble slightly as if a large number of people were moving at once. The source of the small tremor came from the grasslands and the tremor managed to catch the attention of Nathaniel as he turned around only to be met with incredible surprise.
A little further behind them was old man Noland. He had returned to the location he last saw the group but they were gone. Originally he was going to call it a loss and leave but he couldn't help but sense the overwhelming residual essence left behind by Adam. He started tracking the essence and eventually lost it after a certain distance because it had gotten incredibly weak but he had not given up and with a little search he found something else along the trail. At random intervals and distances but going in the same direction he felt multiple smaller residual essence which he deduced was from someone who was moving along with Adam. Halfway along the trail there was a final burst of both types of essence before the trail went cold. At that point he already knew the general direction they were moving in so he went back to his temporary camp and gathered everything preparing for a final strike to kill Adam and anyone he's with.
What Nathaniel saw could only be described as absurd. At the very forefront and being the closest behind them was a frail old man holding a staff which he was using as a walking stick but that was not what got him shook.
"Uhh Adam, you might want to take a look at this." Nathaniel said while tapping Adam with way too much force.
Adam turned his head coldly to look at what was going on before he stopped walking and turned around completely.
"We meet again Ragon, I told you that the next time we met I'd make things interesting. Though old I still am a man of my word." The old man said.
Adam said nothing, he didn't need to for his apparition did all the talking necessary. Adam, while holding onto the lifeless body of Alsvid exploded with essence. His body was wrapped fervently by thick golden essence that made it hard to look at him, as of this moment, Adam looked like a celestial being that could not be gazed upon by others but in Nathaniel's eyes Adam would require more than a glow to face what was coming.
"So you were holding back, good to know I wasn't alone." The old man said.
As the old man stood with his staff he wasn't alone. Floating beside him was his trusty floating skeleton but that wasn't what shook Nathaniel because behind Noland was an army. An army of one thousand skeletons clad in knightly armor holding knightly swords and shields. With a wave of his staff the skeleton warriors charged towards Adam and his companion.
Above Adam's head, a gigantic golden jellyfish appeared. After getting decompressioned in the last battle Jellon had a little upgrade. The tips of its many tentacles were sharpened and hardened to an incredible degree. Adam didn't uter a single word yet the jellyfish started shooting it's tentacles towards the enemies. They moved as fast as bullets and completely broke down any skeleton they touched but ultimately had little affect in lessening the enemies numbers. By his side a black twin tailed tiger appeared, there had been no visual upgrades but it more than made up for it in usefulness. A few seconds after spawning it gathered a huge amount of energy into its mouth and then released a beam like never before which wiped out three lines of enemy skeletons which was approximately three hundred of them before settling down to recover.
Things seemed to be going Adam's way until more skeletons started forming from the bones of previously defeated skeletons and just continued the assault like nothing happened. This was when one more summon decided to enter the fray. A priest appeared incredibly high in the sky with both arms clasped together as though he was praying and within the clasped arms were golden beads. It's appearance seemed insignificant until the wave of skeletons clashed with a golden barrier that formed into a dome over the area Adam and Nathaniel were affectively making them untouchable.
"I knew something like this would happen, it was a little late but it's finally here." The old man said.
Suddenly, a literal giant zombie walked onto the battlefield. Holy saint was too high up for the giant to reach but that wasn't it's goal as the giant begun pounding on the shield with both hands. They were conered in the shield, surrounded on all sides by skeletons and a giant zombie that was repeatedly pounding away at the shield. This was when Adam launched a true counterattack. The priest suddenly pulled its arms apart with full force causing the string holding the beads together to snap. There were ten beads on the string and they all fell in a circular formation around the dome. The moment they made contact with anything that wasn't the dome they exploded, causing a huge Burst of light and force that both blinded and destroyed enemy skeletons. The bombs had no effect on the giant but that didn't matter as a new player entered the battle on team Adam. A human sized golden statue with well curved muscles.
