He stood against five crystalline monkeys with a hint of hesitation and fear. He had trained the entire night along with Adam to prepare for his battle with five crystalline monkeys. Crystalline monkeys, monkeys covered from head to toe in a durable blue crystal that has been sharpened around the fingers, toes and tail. Adam had gone to investigate something and had told him that he was on his own. He had been practicing with his apparition the entire night and was supposed to kill five low grade spires with it.
Dashing forward, the head monkey made a move which was quickly followed up by the rest of them, forcing Alsvid to make a move as well. The first monkey attacked with a swipe of its claw but he swiftly moved to the left and stomped the monkey before ducking to dodge a swipe from a second monkey which he then grabbed by the tail and slammed into a third monkey. The last two tried a simultaneous strike from both sides which he swiftly dodged before slamming both his arms into the two monkeys he just dodged.
He felt a sharp pain in his back that was akin to someone swiping a knife over his skin followed immediately by a ripping sound as part of his shirt tore up but that was it, there was no blood, no wound, just a faint scratch mark.
(A few hours prior)
Alsvid: "So you're telling me that with the amount of essence I have, if I keep it flowing constantly throughout every part of my body, both my physical capabilities and my body's resistance to damage would be improved."
Adam: "That's right, so part of your training is how to keep essence in a constant flow without expelling it from your body. It also plays a huge role in skill creation. Now then, lemme teach you your first skill."
(Now)
Alsvid: "Wow, the technique really does increase my resistance to damage. Now then."
He swiftly dodged attacks from the other monkeys as they had all recovered from his attacks. He moved quickly, dodging assault from all five monkeys then he grabbed one's tail and threw it away as he weaved around the attacks of the other four monkeys. While dodging the attacks, he started channeling essence into his right arm causing a dark aura to envelope it as it made his arm look slightly bigger, then the perfect opportunity presented itself when one monkey jumped towards him, he dodged the attacks of the others and landed a devastating hit on the one in the air as it was sent flying backwards a few feet before crashing into the ground.
Alsvid clashed with four crystalline monkeys. As they rushed towards him, he reformed his essence around his hand then ducked past the first one and punched the second in the chest resulting in the same fate as the first monkey before grabbing the third monkey and using it as a shield to block the attack of the fourth. He flung the third towards the fourth, turned around and kicked the knee of the first as the third and fourth. Reacting quickly he threw out a charged punch at the first but due to the pressure he put on himself, the essence built up too fast to be regulated as
Boom...
A strong force of black essence escaped from his arm as he delivered the strike and it kicked up some dust that blocked the view. When the dust settles he saw the upper body of the monkey was none existent as the surge of essence had vaporized it.
Alsvid: "Urgh, that rushed strike dropped my essence down to only two more charged punches. I started out with ten of them, used two on two monkeys which dropped me down to eight and because of my carelessness my essence escaped from me dropping me down to two. I have to make them count."
He ran towards the stunned monkeys as he prepared another charged punch and threw it landing directly on monkey Four's face as it fell to the ground then monkey three struck from the side tearing a large part of the shirt of as for the first time since the match started, Alsvid bled as a scratch mark appeared on his left shoulder. He then punched the monkey's head with all the essence he had left as he dropped to his knees waiting for the monkeys to get up and attack him, but no such thing happened. In surprise he checked on monkey three which was closest to him and noticed that it was on the ground writhing in pain. He went to check on monkey one and it was dead with monkey two lying on the ground mere moments away from death.
Adam stood at the edge of a dense forest. He looked back at the endless grassland behind him and returned his gaze back to the forest in front of him.
Adam: "I can feel your presence here. There's no use in hiding. Come out."
Unknown being: "That's impressive, you sensed me."
A horrified look appeared on Adam's face.
Adam: "Kage?"
Kage: "Hahahahahahahaaaaa. The one and only."
Multiple shadow tentacles erupted from the forest all rushing towards Adam. Thinking fast, he jumped backwards and the tiger started attacking the tentacles destroying them with every strike. The tentacles kept on multiplying in number as they soon overwhelmed the tiger and bypassed it aiming for Adam.
Adam: "Summoning: Sicklet"
Golden essence erupted from Adam as it took shape and formed itself into a being while Noir burst out of the tentacles in a wave of purple essence before returning to its master.
Adam: "Shave manoeuvre"
With that order, Noir disappeared and the new being, a small green gremlin with a long and a glowing green crystal on its chest also disappeared as tentacles started getting destroyed at an incredibly fast rate.
Kage: "Unknown swarm"
From within the forest a large wave of essence escaped. Right after that, a swarm of a thousand darklings emerged from the forest as more tentacles erupted from the forest all aiming for Adam.
Adam: "Summoning:Jellon"
The two beasts appeared beside him as a third one spawned above him. It was a gigantic jelly fish the size of an elephant that floated above him. After it spawned, there was a slight delay, then it's tentacles burst forth covered in lightning and numbering in hundreds as they kept the shadow tentacles busy. Sicklet then dashed forward and clashed with the darklings, every swipe of its claw taking down at least three darklings while making sure they couldn't strike it.
Kage: "That's impressive Ragon, you are growing powerful. Father wants you back. Come peacefully and he'll gracefully accept you. Resist and all you'll have left is useless Noir over there."
Right after his statement a giant shadow bird burst out from the forest too fast for Adam to react at it aimed for his head. However,
Boom...
A small compact purple beam flew out of Noir's mouth and almost hit the bird which dodged narrowly as it moved at the speed of sound and struck Noir causing her to bleed. Another beam flew out as the bird dodged again and struck Noir again injuring her again, but as it tried to fly into the air some of jellon's tentacles caught it and electrocuted it until it disappeared as Noir layed on the ground.
Kage: "It seems the little kitty still hasn't improved. What a shame, give up this hopeless battle."
Adam: "You haven't seen shit, the battle is just beginning. I have discovered the true meaning of my apparition. The true meaning of Guardian Sanctum, hahaahahahahahahahahaha
Legendary summoning: Shinobi"
Kage: "Bring it on you fool, I am done playing games with you."
