Chapter 39 - There is money in politics!

The city of Koforidua, Eastern Region

...

An hour later, vroom! vroom!, vroom!, the roaring of an engine could be heard as a 2024 black model of the Hyundai Elantra made its way toward a tower, one of the nicest buildings located on the outskirts of the city.

The thundering sound combined with its beauty elicited all those present to take a second look.

Alighting from the car was a man seemingly in his mid-thirties dressed in all black. The color of his suit, spectacles, and shoes were all black. The combination of his all-black appearance and that of his car gave off a majestic and scary feeling at the same time.

The person dressed in all black was none other than Mr. Joe. After taking care of the things that needed to be done, he wasted no time as he made his way to the scheduled place made by the minister.

"Sure enough, this building is as beautiful as always. There is money in politics!" Mr. Joe exclaimed as he arrived before the towering building.

This isn't his first time coming to this place. It should be about his third time including today. However, he always finds it hard to conceal his excitement anything he stands before the tower.

Although he could be considered a rich person, he had a limit to some things, and putting up such a structure was one of those things. The resources involved weren't something that the current him could come up with.

However, that is a different story for those involved in politics especially those with higher positions such as ministers, members of parliament, and those above such positions.

Their allowances and bonuses alone are something that the average person could only dream of. As for their salaries, even their first-month payment could put the entire savings of the average person to shame.

Subsequently, Mr. Joe made his way into the tower. The yard was heavily guarded by burly men with firearms. Guards could be spotted in every corner of the building giving off the impression of protecting something precious.

"Good day, sir! Could you please show us your pass? One of the guards seemingly the leader, asked as he approached Mr. Joe with three other guards. They positioned themselves ready to take action should Mr. Joe fail to take out his pass.

Even though Mr. Joe could be considered as a regular to the place, it was their duty to check if one had the pass to enter the building or not.

The pass was something in the form of a business card. It could only be issued by the minister one could only be granted entry into the building after displaying it.

"Right here!. Mr. Joe ignored their disrespectful actions as he knew they were only doing their duty. He searched through his pocket and brought it out.

"Here! This way sir!" The leader said after inspecting the pass as he led Mr. Joe into the building.

The first floor of the building was as big as a football field. In the middle was a large conference table surounded by flags of different nations.
