End of info...

"Hmm." Ben hummed in satisfaction seeing the information.

If only this were in my time it could have made things easier for us.

People around the 'World Tree' were also in awe of the system.

But they weren't too surprised of it as they also had a lot of ways to check their levels, but with the system making it more easier on a personal level.

Look the portal is opening! Someone exclaimed.

And a young guy with bulging muscles appeared out of it, his body glowing slightly with his aura overflowing.

An indifferent expression could be seen on his face despite the exclamations.

Ben stared at the boy with a surprised expression on his face despite his low level he could feel the high quality of his grade.

Seconds later other students started appearing from the portal door, instantly filling the place.

The awakening make their bodies glow in the night illuminating the place and some students glowing brighter than the others.

This made the teachers and Deans of various Academies grin widely making some students nervously swallow.

Ninety percent of the students were already there.

And this caused excitement among the people there as the longer someone stayed there the more likely their grade and abilities were superb.

The portal started glowing brightly and twenty people appeared outside.

Ben fell silent in shock after seeing them.

It wasn't just their brilliance, it was their level that surprised him.

They were all level 1 Awaken while the rest students there were at level zero the absolute begining of a rank.

A white light shone, and a beautiful woman with four wings appeared above the tree and landed.

Everyone there recognized her despite seeing her for the first time.

She was a Fairy the guardian of this small World Tree in this city.

She turned to address them you are the first students I will address like this, normally you won't be worth my time but since you are the first set of Awakens to get a system.

I will appear to you today!

"I will be checking all your Grades personally even if your system will show you, and to make sure you don't spout lies on your abilities here."

There are some outstanding students amongst you she declared with very high graded ability.

Form groups according to your ability grade. The Fairy declared!

The student started sharing themselves accordingly from common grade all the way to Elite.

Ben noticed recognized two students there his daughter Ivy and the son of the bald expert that spoke to him earlier, and there was the indifferent guy that came out earlier.

The Fairy after seeing that they are done quickly cast a spell that immediately envelope the students confirming the grade of their ability.

People of the common grade sigh in frustration, while the rare and unique had content expression.

As for the Elite they stood there separately from the crowd each of them having a proud expression.

Ben walked to somewhere hight to address the students.

Everyone quickly turned silent even the Fairy now had a neutral expression back.

"Normally I don't usually come to the awakening ceremony. But today is special, my daughter is participating so i had to come."

Ivy smiled when her father mentioned her. Causing some boys there to blush at her pure smile.

Ben continued; the awakening ceremony is going to end within ten minutes by then the portal door will close.

Any questions?

Javis and Betty were even more nervous at this point, they haven't seen Jacob.

'Sir I have something to say!' Betty said in a high voice.

All attention was turned to her.

She felt the gaze of everyone present mounting an invisible pressure on her especially the Governor.

I haven't seen my friend Jacob since we entered the portal.

She said.

People also realized that they haven't seen the strange guy that entered the portal alongside with them.

Betty didn't mind the pressure as her friend haven't come back, and even if she only knew him for a short time she still cared.

He was her second friend other than Javis.

Vampires were rare in open cities like Astral city as majority of vampires stay in their home country.

The Governor's expression fell after hearing this, and turned to the Fairy levitating slightly for explanation now.

In response to that she closed her eyes.

Making a connection to the Tree.

For two minutes no one disturbed her until eventually she opened them in a confused manner.

"I don't know" there is something wrong in the space, she muttered.

What are his chances of coming back. The governor asked.

It's a fifty, fifty chance that he will make it out alive.

Now Jacobs father was worried, he had wondered were his son was in the crowd, but now he realized he is still in the world tree.

Suddenly the portal started flickering, and a guy appeared out of, his clothing and bandages in tatters with several cuts on them.

He looked pale and disoriented with several cut mark on his cloths and he quickly fell uncouncious but his body slowed down and fell softly on the ground.

And a man rushed to him in great speeds with the students being unable to follow his speed.

Some of his features greatly resembling the uncouncious boy.

The Fairy decended again and touched Jacobs forehead, and turned to him common grade ability, he should wake up by tomorrow.

She disappeared into the world tree before transmission something to him.

He is very lucky to survive, she said in a voice that only the two of them could hear.

Thank you! Fairy Fei.

A complicated expression still on his face and he walked away with Jacob on his shoulder leaving.

Lucky indeed! Ben muttered.

Shortly later the portal closed, and the Tree returned to it's previous state calm with slightly glowing leaves.

....

The next morning

Jacob woke up in a room and noticed it wa his room. He didn't stand up immediately as he had a lot to think about.

He didn't fully Awaken in the World Tree.

He didn't get any Class

Only a strange ability called gloom.

He did know the meaning of it, it was something like depression infact it's what he is feeling right now.

He couldn't imagine how that could help me if he ever battle a Beast, he might as well just die.

Fuck! He exclaimed out loud before getting up.

He remember that his sister died, he wasn't crying like anyone will expect him to; he just felt pain for her death, a sting in his hearth affecting his mood subtly.

She might have died to a Beast while hunting, he didn't know.

She was an independent young woman, and they hardly meet each other for five years since she is always so busy.

But she was there in his childhood.

Jacob wanted to know the cause of her death.

He laid down on the ground and start doing push ups, sit ups and squat, exercising himself.

"Surprised of his new profound strength even if he is only half awakened human."

Am below average in strength compared to an average human.

Jacob sigh, in disappointment when also comparing himself to an average Awakened person.

They should be 1.5 times stronger than him if they are in level 0 and a level 1 Awakened should be 1.5 times stronger than a level 0

And with their abilities added, even stronger.

Jacob checked his phone it was time for breakfast and he bathed and rushed to the breakfast table, he was terribly hungry after all this events.

As he reached the table his parents was there eating already.

"Rice and stew" was on the table.

their expression was normal eating as if nothing happened yesterday but he could feel a subtle emotions on their faces, he acted as if nothing happened eating his food first and asking questions later.

When they were done the butler Sebastian came in and cleaned their table.

Jacob looked at his father and mother with an expression of wanting an answer.

His father spoke first, you fainted when coming out of the Portal but i quickly reached you in time.

Jacob raised an eyebrow, he did remember blacking out when he coming out of the portal door.

Traveling through a chaotic space tunnel, he suspected he was helped by Madam Feng or he will have died.

Why? Was he so unlucky!

But he wouldn't say that, and asked his next question. One that has been bothering him, did everyone know of my ability Grade?

"Yes" jacob the Fairy announced it (common grade) since you are the last to come out, Jacobs father replied.

"Damnit" now everyone knows my ability as a common grade one, he cursed inwardly.

But he knew the truth is, his abilities aren't graded in the system, and maybe there is a chance to increase it when he fully Awaken.

He didn't know how to fully Awaken. He haven't heard of anyone partially Awakening before.

Now Jacobs mind was in disarray, now how could he awaken?

He had to find a way.
