What really happened to Lilian, father?
She died in an expeditions with her teammates.
Edward smiled sadly, however her death wasn't normal it was almost as if she was targeted by someone.
Targeted! By who? Jacob asked him.
Now Edward lowered his voice before continuing.
I suspect it's the Dark organization, those evil bastards Edward said in a hate filled voice.
Jacob felt anger well up inside him and pain.
But he decided to ask.
"How did she die."
The temperature of the room dropped down several degrees.
Now his mother responded, anger visible in the dept of her eyes.
He brased himself.
A summoner killed her, but not just anyone he summoned abominations. A type of Beast hated by all beings they carry energy of curuption.
Some tears could now be seen on her eyes.
According to the only survivor of the slaughter, she fought bravely against the abominations until she succumbed to her injuries crippling her.
The curruptive energy of the beast slowly ate her away leaving nothing left.
You can only imagine how much pain she felt before she died.
Now not even a trace of her body remains to bury. His mother said with tears falling.
Edward consoled her.
Jacob clenched his fist until his arms started hurting.
He now felt even more shame for not fully Awakening.
He wanted to get stronger. To make sure nothing like this happed to him, and to destroy the Dark Guild.
He stood up, bowed and then left. His father Edward didn't stop him as he had nothing else to say.
After a minute Rosela sobered up with her eyes still wet and turned to him in a confused manner, something about Jacobs aura don't make sence.
I can feel that his Aura doesn't seem like an Awaken neither Dormant.
Edward is there something you aren't telling me. She now demanded.
"Sigh"
He knew his cover was blown, so he decided to tell her.
Jacob didn't fully Awaken according to the Fairy something must have gone wrong. But all hope is not lost he can still Awaken but with difficulty, his own is a very rare case.
We can only buy Beast cores for him to absorb and hope he awakens.
...
Now outside the gate wearing a black hoodie he walked away heading to a weapon shop that was a kilometer away.
Jacob had decided to enter a dungeon to challenge some monsters Awakened ones the most weakest one's just slightly stronger than Dormant one's.
He knew that the best way to push oneself is to fight, and that's what he is going to do.
But first he need a weapon.
Ten minutes later he reached the place a large market area, commissioned by the city all sorts of business dealing with weapons opened stalls selling weapons at this area.
The market was divided into many parts selling different things not only weapons.
He walked to a small building selling weapons.
He saw a woman at the counter and walked up to her. She was an Elf a dark Elf, Jacob was surprised at this but didn't say anything.
"Good afternoon" young man what kind of weapon do you need, she smiled politely.
"I need a sword." Show me what you have he said after a moment of thought.
Come right this way. She guestured to him in a polite tone.
And he followed her to a door on the right of the counter.
There was already some weapons at the outer shop, but those were for display.
They arrived there shortly.
Jacob was awed at the impressive display of weapons, especially the swords.
Long swords, otachi, katanas all types of swords they were excluding an Aura making them glow a bit.
You may take your time, she said before walking to the counter.
He started looking around the display of swords.
Each of them being good.
Jacob scratched his head in helplessness having a hard time choosing.
Then he remembered something, most Awakens get custom made swords that suit their ability well.
Or they use their ability to search for compatible weapons for them.
He then closed his eyes.
And called out the System window!

End of info..
Jacob took a deep breath after seeing this information.
It wasn't that bad but it's not much useful.
He decided to activate it.
"Activate Gloom." He gave a mental command.
[Gloom activated]
He immediately felt a drain on his Aura, but it was so small he could hardly feel it.
He noticed a change in the atmosphere in the room.
The shadows in the room got darker, he felt his vibe got darker.
He started walking around the miraid of swords on display.
Any weapon he touched he could almost feel rejection on them as if not wanting him.
Until he found a particular black sword on a dark corner in the room having a lonely Aura on it.
He picked it up, he didn't feel that rejection on it like the other sword's it just felt normal on him.
It was a meter long, plain black in colour with a comfortable hilt that have several runic lines on it.
He nodded in satisfaction and took it with him.
On the way there he noticed that his ability was still active, but since it didn't draw much Aura he kept it active.
He approached the Elf woman.
Jacob could see that her expression changed after seeing him, but she still held her professional smile.
Jacob didn't know why but he could feel her rank subtly, she was an Awakened but he couldn't discern the level.
He handed her the weapon she deeply looked at it as if looking through it.
Jacob wondered if she can see the price tag by looking at it.
She turned to him a helpless smile on her face.
It's a dormant weapon a katana with materials of unknown origin, it's not a sentient weapon or anything but other Awakens and Dormant people felt a rejection when using it.
It's only ability is that it helps to channel energy dealing attacks, but since it can't be used well by anyone.
So they usually don't buy it.
You are the first wanting to buy it since ten years ago.
Yeah! He replied.
She hesitated before holding the weapon it started to glow golden spreading until it halted returning to it's original colour.
As I thought, she mumbled.
It will be a two thousand credits.
Jacob eyebrows shot up in surprise, usually Dormant weapons are sold at a thousand credits.
Seeing his expression she smiled sheepishly, since the elements of unknown are in the weapon it's price will be higher.
Jacob knows she was spouting utter Bulshit!
But brought out his phone and quickly transfered it. He had the money anyway.
He left the store not showing her if he can wield the katana or not.
The katana in the dark red scabbard.
Actually he bought the scabbard of the Awakened rank for the sword that's what increased the price.
He walked out of the market area the scabbard on his belt.
People were giving him looks for some reason, he actually felt good for once having a personal weapon.
The dungeon was quite far away 7 kilometers so he paid a cab, it was on the other side of the city.
His expression was now serious he needed to Awaken.
The driver now had a nervous expression on his face seeing Jacob, he quickly drove off to the east of Astral city.
The cab stopped and Jacob went down.
He saw a gate and a writing on it.
" Awakened and Ascendant level dungeon."
He walked up to the gate and the guards wearing heavy armor stopped him, they excluded an Aura that Jacob knew doesn't belong to an Awaken.
"What are you doing here kid are you a hunter or a student."
Am a student, Jacob said neutrally.
He brought out his bronze card to their faces.
The guard showed an annoyed look on his face, this is a dormant student card are you trying to mess with me.
It's outdated, I just awakened.
Jacob willed the half dormant energy in him making it surge he poured more Aura into his Gloom ability the atmosphere around him becoming even more darker.
This change didn't go unnoticed by the two guards.
They became even more interested in him.
Show me your weapon, it's part of protocol before we let you in.
Jacob brought revealed his scabbard that was hidden under his cloth.
It's black and red design having red lines from top to bottom was shinny on the sunlight.
You can now put it back, the guard told him.
Before bringing a strange device the shape of a pen which was glowing and scanned his body.
Now the gate opened and he was allowed in.
The estate was very big and he saw a building made with tough material that stood proudly.
He walked in.
