Chapter 28 - His not afraid of the food

Helen coughed repeatedly into her hands, covering her mouth and exhaling a thick, bloody breath. She pulled up her sleeve to reveal a black bone that had been reduced to the length of her palm. "Grant's weapon. Poisonous."

"She is such a poisonous woman!" Camilla exclaimed coldly.

Sam bit his lip, hesitated to speak, and finally said, "The hatred of stealing a husband, if placed on you, would also be poisonous..."

"Shut up, who are you speaking for? Do you believe I will throw you out?" Camilla's cold gaze swept over. It's so dangerous, yet he still dare to say such nonsense.

"Then I won't say anything." Sam closed his mouth and surrendered obediently. He was very timid, afraid of both death and leaving Helen.

Helen gently shook her head and turned her silver eyes towards Sam, saying, "Let him come."

"Sure, I'll carry you on my back," Sam felt Helen's attention and immediately grew a brave heart!

Camilla questioned, "He is so weak, can he handle it? What if he abandons you and runs away halfway?"

"Um... I won't leave you behind this time." Sam suddenly lowered his head, unable to meet Helen's gaze.

He was too young before and once lost Helen, but now he has matured. Actually, he is quite old.

"If he dares to abandon me and run away again, as long as I, Helen, am alive, I will chase him to the ends of the earth!"

"Okay, let's go." Sam lifted Helen on his back, took a deep breath, and told himself not to be afraid as he followed Camilla to leave quickly. As he walked, he thought: In fact, the ends of the earth are attainable, and even a thousand miles can be reached. It would be even better if they only pursued me without trying to kill me.

At dusk under the setting sun, Camilla protected Helen and Sam. The three of them took a detour through the rooftop, revealing their vampire forms, and ran towards the direction of the apartment with a protective barrier.

Behind them, less than a hundred meters away, a young boy with orange hair rode a shared bicycle, weaving through the crowd. He had a telescope hanging around his neck and was chewing papaya-flavored bubble gum. Skillfully gripping the handlebars, he calmly followed along the crisscrossing streets, neither too close nor too far.

.....

At 6 PM, Dennis drove to pick up Luis after work. Luis had finished work an hour early and waited in front of the office building for Dennis for a full hour: "Teacher Dennis, I trouble you."

Dennis opened the car door and said, "You're welcome. Where are we going?"

"Sunshine community. A new private restaurant has opened there, and I've heard that the food is good. I've always wanted to go and check it out," Louis smiled and thought seriously about what to eat for dinner tonight.

To be honest, she would choose to dine at that private restaurant simply because it is farther away from her home. This way, she has an excuse to have Dennis drive her back home.

The lifelong happiness of a woman always depends on her own efforts.

Dennis opened the route navigator, set the destination, and his eyes flickered slightly with a faint gaze. After a few seconds of pause, he started the car and set off. Sunshine Community, isn't that where Helen recently bought an apartment?

.....

At night, quietly descending. The moon, shimmering and rising magnificently. Around seven o'clock, Helen and her friends stood on the rooftop, suddenly coming to a halt.

In front of them stood a handsome young man with orange hair. At this moment, the young man was squinting one eye and holding a silver gun in his hand, pointing the barrel at Helen's head. It seemed playful, but he was actually aiming.

Sam supported Helen, his steps retreating and his legs trembling. If Camilla hadn't tied his wrist to Helen's beforehand, he might have made the same mistake again and slipped away.

Camilla gritted her teeth, gathering the cold and fierce blood thirst of the vampire clan: "Go away!"

Frank looked arrogant and conceited, beckoning Camilla with his finger and saying, "If you want me to leave, fine. But come over here first and let me teach you how to be a person."

Camilla roared loudly, and her fingernails grew rapidly. She leaped forward without hesitation and pounced towards Frank.

Frank instantly dodged, and a handsome face immediately turned cold, covered with a layer of icy color: "If you come, then come. Truly a beast, brainless! No wonder you've been exiled for so long!"

Although he was not bitten by Camilla, his clothes were torn by her. This greatly displeased him.

"What are you talking about?" Camilla attacked Frank again.

Beside him, Sam couldn't help but speak up for justice: "Cunning humans, if you want to fight, then fight fair. No personal attacks allowed!"

Frank faced the enemy head-on, leaping into the air and aiming his silver revolver at Camilla who was sprinting at top speed. With a loud bang, the bullet was fired. Only then did he glance at Sam with utter disdain and asked, "Where did this idiot come from?"

Camilla fell to the ground in the night sky, screaming . The bullet hit her shoulder, but fortunately missed her head and heart.Otherwise, she would have turned into dust immediately.

However, she was actually injured by a human, which is truly shameful for her!

Sam supported Helen and ran over, worriedly asking, "Camilla, how do you feel?"

Camilla trembled as she raised her hand and grabbed Sam's sleeve. Her vision was slightly blurred as she anxiously instructed, "Protect Queen Helen well, even if it means death, do not escape!"

"Frank walked slowly, step by step. The silver revolver in his hand aimed at Helen again, as he coldly smiled and said, "Don't worry. Tonight, none of you can escape. Vampire Queen, two hundred million dollars reward, I want it all."

Helen fumbled to untie the band on her wrist, then stood up and took two steps towards Frank before stopping. Her eyes were almost blind, relying only on sound to determine Frank's location as she asked, "Who are you exactly? How do you know about the vampire family?"

Frank snorted and curled his lips. "I know too much, and it's not just about the two hundred million dollars in Remuneration, But I think you don't have the life to hear it all."

"You won't kill me." Helen raised her head, her silver eyes filled with indifference as she spoke confidently. If she died, then would be worthless.

Frank extended his index finger and gently shook it twice, with a smug and wild smile on his face, exuding a seductive charm full of wicked beauty. "You can give it a try. Come on, I'll count to one two three. Ready? One, two..."

"Do not kill Helen!" Sam suddenly curled up into a ball and with a thud, fiercely collided with Frank's chest, knocking him down to the ground.

He opened his sharp fangs and bit down on Frank's right hand, who was holding a gun. Despite his youthful appearance and timidity, he was a vampire who had lived for thousands of years.

The human is the food of him. No matter how powerful the food is, his not afraid of the food!
