Frank's wrist was pierced by the fangs, two sharp cuts,Blood was flowing. His face changed suddenly, he reached into his waist and pulled out another pistol. While Sam was in a frenzy, he pointed the gun at Sam back and pulled the trigger without hesitation.
"Be careful, meatball!"
As the sound of gunfire rang out, Helen dashed towards Sam. She used her arm to shield the muzzle and successfully blocked the bullet for him.
She held onto Sam as they both rolled off the roof. Falling from several meters high, Helen and Sam landed heavily on the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Helen frowned in pain, attempting to get up. However, her back made a crisp sound. Apparently, the newly healed bones had broken again.
Sam rolled into the nearby bushes and bumped his head on a cement pipe, causing him to faint. Helen, on the other hand, lay motionless on the ground.
Her mind had already started to drift away, her unfocused eyes gradually becoming cloudy, and her hands almost losing sensation. Even her consciousness was becoming unclear.
No!
She must not lose consciousness.
At least can't lose consciousness here.
She doesn't want to die yet, and she can't die at the hands of those lowly humans. She also doesn't want Camilla and Sam to accompany her in death.
.....
At 6:50 PM, in Sunshine Community, inside a private restaurant. Dennis walked into the private room and found it empty. Being clever as he is, he naturally saw through Luis' intentions without revealing it and understood his thoughts.
Luis didn't want the atmosphere to be too awkward, so she go to the restroom to touch up her makeup. Earlier on the way, she had already made a reservation for dinner - a candlelit dinner for two with a violinist singing birthday songs nearby. It should be a beautiful evening.
However, when she came out of the restroom, she didn't see Dennis. She hurriedly ran to the front desk and asked, "Excuse me, where is the gentleman who came with me?"
"The lady, it seems that there has been a fatality outside. The gentleman asked you to wait here temporarily before he leaves," the receptionist replied.
"Oh, I see. Then the dish can be served a little later," Louis said, patting his chest and secretly laughing at himself for overreacting.
She had long known that Dennis' true profession was not simple, but their relationship hadn't progressed much, so she didn't feel comfortable asking about it.
...
Behind a secluded artificial lake outside of a private restaurant, two figures run and chase each other in the darkness. They move with incredible speed and carry an icy aura of hostility as they entangle in a fierce battle, refusing to yield to one another.
Dennis held Helen in his arms, moving less agilely. Frank leaped several times in mid-air, catching up to Dennis and pulling out a gun: "Stop! If you run again, I'll shoot."
Dennis stopped and turned to look at Frank, a hint of complex emotions flickering in his dark tea-colored eyes. He said, "It's been six years, and you finally decided to come back?"
"It's none of your business!" Frank gradually approached Dennis, holstered his gun, glanced at Dennis and said, "Out of past affection, hand her over to me and you can leave."
Dennis raised an eyebrow, his voice cold and indifferent as he said, "What if I don't give it to you?"
Frank pulled out his knife and struck Dennis in the heart, ruthlessly and coldly. "Then kill you too!"
In the white moonlight, Denis's slender, stunning figure stood motionless in the hazy light. Frank held the knife and plunged it in. The knife plunged into the flesh, cutting a shocking gash.
On the pure white shirt, there were crimson bloodstains branded. Frank didn't expect Dennis to not dodge, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
He pulled out his knife and went at Helen reluctantly, shouting, "It's no use if you die! Emma will never smile at me again!"
Dennis held Helen in his arms and slowly stepped back. He drew an ancient long sword from his waist, stopping it halfway in the air. The silver blade reflected the chilling moonlight and he said, "She is mine, are you sure you want to make a move?"
"Dennis, you actually used this sword against me?" Frank's expression of shock was indescribable.
"You want to keep her? How are you going to explain this to the Vampire Hunter Bureau?" Frank didn't believe that Dennis would dare go against them.
"I have my own boundaries, I don't need you to interfere." Dennis gently narrowed his deep tea-black eyes. The depths of those eyes were like an ink-colored pool, serene and distant.
Frank passed by Dennis. In the pitch-black night, unnoticed by anyone, he lightly trembled his fingers twice as quick as lightning and buried a silver needle in Helen's hair.
"Helen, Helen .."
I do not know how long after, Helen's ears rang a familiar voice, a few drops of fresh blood into her mouth.
Helen reluctantly open her eyes, dim and turbid vision, a slender man squatting in front of her, softly calling her name.
She couldn't see the man's face clearly, but in her wandering gaze, she vaguely remembered his pure white shirt and his appearance...
"Dennis..."
Helen was not sure if it was him, weakly calling out his name. Unfortunately, she couldn't hear the man's response. In her drowsy consciousness, she began to move freely and spontaneously, her awareness becoming scattered and gradually dissipating.
At first, it was the two crescent-shaped marks that gradually emerged. Then, sharp nails extended slowly along the rounded fingertips. Finally, a pair of eyes shimmering with silver fragments turned into blood-red pupils.
She is the queen of the vampire clan, reborn in the dark night. She is the most powerful vampire in the world.
Helen's eyes were sharp, emitting a silvery-red glow. She pushed Dennis away with one arm and crawled on the ground like a wild beast, her ten claws stiffly moving.
She exuded a powerful aura of malevolence, unleashing a whirlwind of arrogance that greedily consumed everything around her. Whether it was people or objects.
Dennis was thrown onto a rock, knocked out of the air, fell hard, and spat out blood.
Darn it!
His body is about to be shattered by this crazy woman.
