Chapter 31 - Eat or wait to die

They moved quickly, covering each other and evading the sword lights that came their way, constantly launching attacks towards Dennis.

Dennis remained cold and indifferent, with icy corners of his eyebrows. In his tea-black eyes reflected the chilling silver-white moonlight.

He stood there, with his slender and exquisite figure, exuding an ancient martial aura. He walked on the rugged landscape, amidst the eerie and terrifying vampire shadows. Suddenly, he came to a halt, turned his head back, and emitted a chilling intensity.

He raised the ancient sword above his head amidst the encirclement of dozens of dark shadows. Then, with a swift motion, he unleashed sharp sword qi that sliced through the air, leaving behind inch by inch of green lotus imprints on both sides of his body.

The lotus imprint floats slowly in the air. Vaguely, it seems like something is breaking through the void.

After the blooming of the lotus flowers, they fell and shattered into countless pieces of green light, fluttering in all directions. From then on, a magnificent sword formation known as the Green Lotus Sword Formation was completely unsealed in the vast world, reflecting the splendid mountains and rivers and the bright moonlight.

A wisp of white smoke suddenly floated in the air, silently and gracefully. The vampires suspended in mid-air were like being trapped in a powerful magnetic field, instantly frozen.

Their bodies explode into pieces in midair and vanish like dust.

Before their death, their faces still retained a fierce expression. Their bodies, all transformed into a transparent and visible dynamic airflow, gradually turned into the humblest dust in this world.

Helen leaned against the rockery, squinting her silver eyes. At this moment, her consciousness was gradually returning.

In her blurred vision, she couldn't see clearly what was happening. However, those dazzling blue lotus sword lights shimmered in the pitch-black night sky. Not only did they illuminate half of the sky, but they also illuminated her silver-gray eyes.

"A beautiful lotus rain..." Helen murmured, her thoughts gradually drifting away. She seemed to see herself from thousands of years ago under the sword rain that filled the sky. It was as if she had returned to that ancient and distant era, reliving a dream that ended without any illness...

At that time, she had just awakened from a deep sleep. She was playful by nature and didn't like taking over the power of the vampire family. She heard about an ancient dynasty called Tang in the land of Eastern Middle-earth. It was a precious place in the East with many extraordinary things happening.

So, she married Carlos and entrusted him with the affairs of the vampire clan. Meanwhile, she embarked on a solo journey, floating across the ocean on a bamboo raft, coming from the distant shores of the great ocean.

Upon entering Middle Earth, she took a cursory look at everything and felt curious about it all. She caught the scent of human food and fantasized about human wine.

She couldn't help but be moved by the respectful and gentle demeanor between the man and woman, and felt a strong desire to give it a try.

In those years, she had fair and delicate hands, a plain face towards the sky, wearing an elegant and noble lady's dress that attracted countless literati to eagerly gaze at her, vying for her attention. Many refined and detached scholars were willing to spend a fortune and wait patiently for years just to catch a glimpse of her...

"Dennis."

In the gentle murmurs, Helen narrowed her eyes, feeling exhausted. Her body was bruised and injured, and she couldn't fight against the overwhelming fatigue, falling unconscious once again.

Brandon and the others stood at a distance, silently watching this unparalleled Sword Formation. They glanced at each other without confidence.

Eric shrugged and shivered slightly, saying, "Dennis is incredibly powerful, even more so than we had imagined!"

Brandon clasped his hands inside his sleeves, and his ten fingers felt slightly stiff. It was a deep-seated fear and concern that emanated from within him.

"In recent years, the human world has secretly trained numerous powerful vampire hunters to guard against vampire invasions. Apart from the renowned 'Sword Immortal Dennis,' there is also the ruthless 'King Stick' who kills without hesitation."

"King Stick? Who is he? How come I've never heard of him? " Grant thought carefully. Her memory did not bear the savage name.

"I heard that the person was using a golden staff as their weapon."

"Is there anything else?" Grant asked.

Eric nodded and said, "Whenever that person hunts down vampires, he always uses three strikes. One strike less is not enough, one strike more is unnecessary. Usually, with just one strike, the vampire is beaten to a pulp. That's why he earned the nickname 'King Stick'."

"Why didn't he come today?" Grant couldn't help but wonder. Shouldn't all the heroic characters be present for such a grand vampire hunting event?

Eric shrugged and said, "Maybe because he's lazy and likes to stay in hotels with women. Or maybe you really want to die under his stick?"

"Are you cursing me?" Grant's face instantly turned cold.

Brandon frowned in annoyance and said, "Enough, stop arguing. Retreat quickly."

"But, Helen... " Grant didn't want to give up. Because she stole her man...

"We can't even defeat Dennis, it's a failure within a failure. Do you want us to be completely destroyed? Let them enjoy their freedom for a couple more days, we have plenty of time in the future."

After finishing his words, Brandon swung his black cloak and felt the cold wind. In an instant, he leaped up and climbed onto the lush treetops, swiftly disappearing into the vast night.

"Lord Brandon..." Grant supported his injured arm and hurriedly followed.

She will definitely tell Garrick about Helen kissing a human. Grant is looking forward to seeing Garrick's angry reaction.

On the road, Eric's dark talent as a pure-blooded vampire once again erupted. Even though he covered his mouth, his aged voice could still be heard hoarsely echoing beneath the moonlit night: "Afraid, afraid, afraid..."

.....

Half an hour later, Dennis carried Helen and found Sam unconscious, as well as Camilla who was seriously injured. He brought them back to the apartment.

Sunshine Community, Apartments.

"Ouch..." Camilla lay on the sofa, curled up in a ball, trembling and groaning in pain.

When Dennis went upstairs, he also brought the medicine box from the car. He found two red pills from the medicine box and handed them to Camilla, saying, "These are blood clotting pills that can eliminate the silver toxins on your body and also have an anti-inflammatory effect. You can give it a try."

"Can this be eaten?" Camilla's face showed a hint of doubt. She was now very cautious and hesitant to trust humans. However, the skin on her shoulder had already started to ulcerate, gradually turning transparent in color.

If she doesn't eat, then she will probably have to wait for death slowly.
