Chapter 35 - Ridgeline City Battle (Fernia 2)

"Ahh! You monster!" Some guardsmen cried out.

"Die you savage beast!" Other guardsmen yelled.

"Aim! Take that bitch out! FIRE!!!" A captain ordered, swinging his arm down. I hope this overpowers their fear. Without that fear we have a chance…

"Oh?" Fernia said, standing upright. Her form filled the men's view completely and totally.

The men fired their weapons fearfully screaming all the way. Some men were killed as a result of accidental friendly fire.

"Pfft, you humans are so stupid. You'd kill yourselves before I get the chance to." Fernia gleefully giggled at the sight before her. "Unfortunately, that won't satisfy my anger. I will kill you with my very own claws. It doesn't matter who you pray to now. Your death is certain. Do try to die in as much fear and pain as possible, okay? Here I come." She said breathing hot and heavy, as if she was aroused by the mere thought of the fools in front of her dying.

"Sir! Our weapons… They aren't working!" Someone yelled, as Fernia started charging the firing line.

"Then fire the cannons." The same captain ordered in a panic. "Fire Fire Fire! Fire at will!" He ordered in a high pitched panic.

"You're giving orders and trying to keep the rabble in order. You see, I like it better when my enemy is terrified. And I'm a little hungry. You don't mind if I gobble you up, do you?" Fernia asked with a sinister smile. A bloody pool of corpses lay behind her.

"No! Don't eat me! I have a…" The Captain yelled, dropping to his knees.

"Hahaha, oh my, you thought I was actually asking you? No, you don't have any other options. But I could have spared your soul if you agreed. Sadly for you, you didn't. Oh well, time for munchies!" Fernia laughed, and ate the man whole.

Inside Fernia, the man was instantly digested. However, when the man had been eaten, he had pulled the pin on a couple of his grenades. A final hope as it were.

Buuurp

"Oh my, were those spicy meatballs or something?" Fernia asked, looking at another guard, a guard who smelled like he just soiled his pants with everything he ate in the last year. "Hmm, I see, it was those exploding ball things. Well, they weren't too bad. If I can deal with them my sisters can too." She continued, blinking her large eye in the man's face.

"Huh. die monster!" The soiled guard shouted, firing point blank into Fernia's eye.

"Hmm, That isn't a pleasant sensation but it sure isn't doing any damage either. You might as well stop." Fernia said, calmly.

"Never! Not until you die you fucking monster!" The guard yelled.

Some other guards started firing at Fernia's eye as well. They had overheard what Fernia said about it. So they were hoping it might actually damage her. Though… They were simply falling right into Fernia's plan.

"AhAhAhA! You like that! Damn Monster, just die already! Die so I, CAN, FUCK, YOUR, CORPSE!!!!" A Guard shouted with everything he had. Licking his lips as he thought about it.

"Oh my, you really think I was serious about the…" Fernia said, stopping to gaze in awe.

The Guard who yelled about having his way with Fernia's Corpse… Was caught in a brilliant flame. One so hot it burned white.

"Mother, it's not like he could have done that anyway. You could have left him to me to kill. Just focus on your evolution." Fernia giggled in the telepathic link.

"Sorry, but I won't let any of those men live. How dare they even think about having their way with my daughters! I'll burn them all. Every time! I love you all too much to allow those fools to live any longer." Eternia replied, conveying her annoyance about someone daring to even fantasize about her girls.

"We all love you too, Mother. So please don't try doing more than you can. We don't want to lose you if your evolution doesn't go well. And Vitaliana especially needs you." Fernia replied softly.

"Now then, you damned fools. Time to die. Seriously, what made you think these weak bits of metal would do anything to me? I've been completely unharmed from the inside with those exploding things of yours. That's about the best you got, am I right?" Fernia sneered, annoyed at the men for wasting her time.

"But… You said… And yeah that's right, that's about the best we got." A guard cried. Tears flowing, knowing that he was about to die. He fell to his knees in utter despair.

"Good, I was lying about how it felt. It didn't even tickle. You would have been better off with a simple low level fireball spell than even thousands of these tiny bits of metal. You humans really are stupid. Non magic users claim to know more about magic and deem it useless. Only to then realize, that without it… They are helpless animals just waiting to be slaughtered." Fernia scolded. "You turn on each other like it was your mission to kill each other. And for what? A few small plots of land that you could never truly own? You sneak up behind your magic casters and kill them from behind right after they just saved you. Do you know how much that hurt them! HOW DARE YOU PEOPLE CLAIM TO BE SMART! YOU'RE MINDLESS BEASTS!" Fernia started yelling, as memories of Vitaliana's story came to the surface. She may have been human at the time, but she is still my little sister. They committed such a heinous act as betrayal. I think I now know why Great Grandmother had that Aven guy become Vitaliana. A chance for total vengeance. A way to set the human race on the right path once again.

Fernia continued her assault, slaughtering the guardsmen with extreme prejudice. What was left in her wake, the mangled bodies of fools, laying in the blood, shit and piss of themselves and their friends. Gunpowder and broken weapons strewn about in the gory mess. What face's that remained somewhat intact, wore expressions conveying abject terror, regret and sorrow.

"Hmm, that didn't take long. Time to move on to the next place and repeat this slaughter again. Oh I know, I'll take some bodies from here and drop them on the other place. To give them a taste of what's to come." Fernia chirped to herself as she grappled a couple dozen bodies in her claws.
