With the banter over, Vitaliana could take a fully proper look at the building before her. The building Vitaliana was looking at now was about the size of a small mansion. Braziers lined the walkways and stairs. Upon the top of the entryway was a massive carving.
Is that mother? It looks really well made, the one who carved that statue must have spent quite a long time doing it. The detail is amazing. And it seems to be made of… Oh yeah… That definitely took a long time. If carving granite takes a great deal of effort, this would take much more. In fact I don't think it's possible to carve this without the use of magic. A giant chunk of Scorchite. A single touch would instantly incinerate iron. Hmm, then who made it?
Vitaliana flew towards the entrance, then used a bit of magic to teleport through the obviously barricaded door. Which caused more than a few to panic slightly from the surprise.
~ Inside Place of Worship ~
"Hmm, there are quite a lot of you here. This will take some time but…" Vitaliana started speaking.
The people inside all recognized Vitaliana's voice and immediately got on their knees. And then the one wearing basically nothing, stood back up and bowed. The outfit was similar to what Eternia wore in human form. As a result it was quite clear to see just about all nature had blessed the woman with, as well as understand that she was the religious leader of the temple.
"Young Lady Vitaliana, I know this might be presumptuous. But might this humble one make a request of you?" The Woman asked, holding her hands clasped together, fingers interlocked and pressed against the center of her chest.
Vitaliana tilted her head a little confused at the sudden speech. Especially the interruption.
I always found it confusing why the leaders of mother's religion were always women. And more so why they wore almost nothing. In fact so little they might as well have been nude. I'll have to ask Mother about it later. Oh, perhaps grandma might know. If there is time I could ask her too. Because it really is confusing. Like, why are they so… Well, it doesn't matter.
"I assume you are the one who leads this place of worship?" Vitaliana chirped, righting her head up straight.
"Yes, I had the honor of being chosen by our glorious and most beautiful, Lady Eternia, for the rights to serve as her follower and lead others to her righteous holiness. I was granted the right to wear this holy garment as a representation of my faith in her. Oh that day was… Amazing. How I long for my reaffirmation." The Woman said, blushing and squirming.
"Then please, what is it you wish to ask of me? It must be serious to interrupt me?" Vitaliana asked, with a hint of how serious the interruption was.
"Oh, yes. I ask of you, please prioritize taking the families with expectant mothers first. I have faith they would be safer with the ones who left the city already, than staying here." The woman said, explaining her reasoning.
"Hmm, I see. It's true I can not move everyone all at once. However, I was already planning on taking them first. For there is another in the safe spot that will be able to protect them far better than I, my grandmother." Vitaliana said with a confident look.
"Oh my, then… Lady Solaria has come!" Some people shrieked. Though they were those who had been studying the scriptures and past texts.
"Then please, allow me to use the power Lady Eternia has bestowed upon my humble form to protect the people who remain behind. I ask you to allow me this chance to serve our Goddess." The woman begged.
Vitaliana remained silent for a moment, using appraisal on the woman.
WOAH! She isn't just physically stacked with appealing gifts. Her stats are on the high end of the Magus level. A little higher and a few more spells she could be equivalent to a High Magus. Even still, from what I've heard if she were to get swarmed…
…
…
Well… Not like matters anyway. It has to be done regardless. I'll let her do it.
"Very well. With this many people it will take a little bit to move everyone. I'll bring someone back from the camp to help you defend this place from any would-be enemies. I feel it would be safer for my mother's people if that were the case." Vitaliana answered, and then flew towards a group. There were several families gathered there, the women were quite far along as well.
Vitaliana was preparing to go when…
"Young Lady Vitaliana. Please. I beg of you. Allow me to stay here and help protect the people. So long as my family is safe I'll be alright. But if I were to just leave now, I would worry about my brother's and sister's under our glorious goddess, Lady Eternia." A relatively grizzled man asked, as he handed his clearly youngest child, likely just over a year old, to either his wife, or sister.
Vitaliana looked at him with a curious eye. "Do you have the equipment you need for such a thing? If so, then I'll allow it. But don't go getting yourself hurt. Else Mother won't forgive you for worrying your family like that." She said after a short moment of silence.
Soon a significant movement of people occurred. Now it was a group of those unable to fight in some way shape or form be it age, pregnancy, or profession. There were a couple of men who were all but forced to stay in the group due to their families circumstances, being there wasn't someone able to care for the young that couldn't walk on their own.
"Alright. Everyone take a deep breath and relax." Vitaliana said, then waited for everyone to have come to a fully relaxed state. "And rapid teleport!" She called out.
Vitaliana and the group she was with vanished from the worship hall in the blink of an eye. They were rapidly going through to each checkpoint Vitaliana had set up earlier. Eternia, who could feel everything going on in the city, smiled in her soul. That's my girl. And that one priestess deserves a reward. I'll give her one later.
