Having eaten her fill Fulgiana took off to start taking care of the watchtowers. And then she had a brilliant idea. One that would surely cause some terror. So she decided to contact her through telepathy, but everyone was still on the link…
"Hey 2nd sister, I just had an idea."
"Oh? You sound excited. Did something good happen?" Aieria asked.
"Huh? Oh, uhm yeah. The last human on that part of the wall didn't taste horrible. Rather he was delicious. A freshly repentant body definitely was worth the wait. Sooo goood! If you get the chance you should try it." Fulgiana said, all but squirming at the flavor.
"Thanks for the tip Fulgiana. I'll definitely try it if there is time. Perhaps we can leave a few of them alive for that purpose?" Acialia jumped in with a giggly tone.
"Oh! That sounds like a good idea! We could even see how they taste roasted. Let's save enough to try raw, lightly roasted and nice and gooey. It's been awhile since we had a real civilized meal." Flairiana piped up detailing her excitement.
"That sounds good, the last time…" Fernia started explaining, choking on the words. "Well, it will be Vitaliana's first one. We should see what she thinks about it. She was once a Human after all so it might be a bit much." She continued.
"You're right Fernia… Killing humans is one thing… But eating them is another thing. And even then she isn't big enough to eat a human whole. She wouldn't be able to eat them raw…" Acialia mused, worried about how it would go over.
"I think you're forgetting a little something my dear sister." Fulgiana giggled, as the memory resurfaced. "She boiled a man to death and tried to eat what remained. So cute how she reacted to the horrible flavor as if it was rancid." She explained.
"Oh, that's right! Hey, little sister, Vitaliana. What do you think? Are you okay with a meal like that? It might still be too much for you right now, so don't try to push yourself. We can find more food somewhere in the city for you. But we're going to eat some of those humans. Can't pass up such a good and free meal like that." Acialia asked, wanting to make sure she was being supportive and respectful of her little sister.
"Huh? Oh, hmm… I was a bit of a foodie when I was a human… Big Sister Fulgiana, was it really that good? Compare it to… Oh yeah, a nagath's flesh, which is better?" Vitaliana asked, salivating in anticipation and remembering the flavor of a nagath's flesh. That Nagath was delicious. So rich and flavorful…
"Uhm… That human was far in a way juicier. But, it definitely doesn't really compare o a well seasoned… OH! Excellent idea little sis! We should gather some seasonings for them as well. I'm sure that would make them taste even better. Compare them both raw, the Human definitely wins." Fulgiana exclaimed, dancing around the sky joyfully imagining the flavor.
"Hmm, alright then. But I'm sure we won't have to worry about me needing to eat in bites. Just save the worst sinner for me. One that deserves a painful death even with their repentance. Because even if I evolve today I won't be large enough to eat it in one gulp." Vitaliana said, landing at the safe zone furthest from where Solaria was. "Just because I was human before doesn't mean anything aside from that. Either way, I'm a monster. I think I was reincarnated this way to exact a punishment on the ones who betrayed and their sympathizers. So eating a few humans isn't a problem. I just wish they weren't so weak. I might have evolved before Grandmother showed up." She joked, easing the hearts of her sisters.
"Ahahaha, then let us sisters find some tasty ones for you. We will make sure you get your fill. Though we do eat humans, it's not like we have constantly been doing it. We don't eat those under our protection. And we only target those who deserve such an end for the sins they committed." Acialia laughed and explained their position away.
"It's fine. I felt nothing when killing the humans I have up until now. Rather, I sort of regret killing the demons and monsters in my last life. Well… Except for snake-like ones. Those ones, I regret not killing with more torment." Vitaliana said, showcasing her real feelings on the subject. "You should understand that, right? The feeling of betrayal by the very same ones you've protected. This Empire deserves to be razed. I don't care about the other nations. Even demons are more honorable than these shitty people.
Though, the believers in Mother are far in a way better…" She finished saying and then took a deep look at the building.
"Alright, Aieria this is my plan. What if we went all out and gave them a really amazing show?" Fulgiana picked up the previous conversation again.
"You mean like a low atmosphere Lightning storm? That actually sounds amazing. Hmm, Let's make it so the target areas are just the towers though." Aieria replied with an excited affirmation.
"Oh, that's right. Little sister is trying to evacuate mother's believers. Hmm, We should do it quickly then. Any of our believers being hurt by our ability wouldn't be a good thing." Fulgiana mentioned cautiously. A rare thing for her, but normal when it came to two things, family and worshipers.
"Sister's you don't have to worry about me. Or the people. I'll be using teleportation. I marked all of the locations with a feather of mine so you know where they are." Vitaliana said.
"Ohh! Little sister, you're amazing. Let us release our pent up frustration so easily like this. I'll make sure to find only the tastiest humans for you! Aieria, come meet me in the center of the city." Fulgiana squealed excitedly.
"On my way. And little sis, you be careful. There might be a few weak vampires hiding around." Aieria said, with a burst of speed towards the center of the city.
"Alright, I will! I'm going to start moving the people from the highest priority location. Happy hunting." Vitaliana replied.
