Chapter 36 - Ch 36: Declaration

The next morning, DSP Digvijay Singh went to the hospital to visit Rudra and Hussain.

As the head of police, he was concerned about their well-being and wanted to make sure they were getting the best care.

When he arrived at the hospital, he spoke with the doctors and nurses to get an update on their condition.

As he approached the ICU room, the officers outside snapped to attention, greeting him with a crisp salute.

"Is Rocky here?" he asked, and one of the officers replied, "No, sir, he left as soon as he heard you were on your way."

Digvijay's face twitched into a wry smile. "He's a sly one, always trying to slip away from me. However good work in keeping both of them safe all night."

The officer nodded, "Just doing my duty, sir."

Digvijay entered the room, expecting to see his two top officers in a dire state, but instead, they were engrossed in a game of rock, paper, and scissors.

He couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. "I thought it was a serious situation, but you two are quite the gamers!"

Hussain and Rudra were startled, and Hussain apologized, "Sorry, sir, we were getting a bit bored, so..."

Digvijay's smile grew wider as he sat down between them, relieved to see his men in good spirits despite their injuries.

Digvijay put his hands on his head and said, "Why do you two always seem to find trouble? Has it become a habit?"

Rudra and Hussain exchanged a defensive glance, and Rudra spoke up, "No, sir, we didn't start this one. They ambushed us."

Hussain nodded in agreement.

Digvijay's expression then turned serious and asked them,

"Okay, set that aside for now. Do you know which group attacked you?"

Hussain replied, "The investigation team said it was some of the top 10 groups."

Rudra chimed in, "It looks like the other groups have caught wind of the current situation," hinting at the influence of 'The Brahmarakshas' group.

Digvijay nodded thoughtfully, "I think so too."

Hussain then asked, "Sir, what about 'The Rocket' mission? How's that progressing?"

Digvijay's expression turned determined, "It's almost ready. Now it's time for its execution."

Rudra asked, "Are you confident in this project, sir?"

Digvijay's reply was measured, "Only time will tell."

The conversation continued for a few minutes, covering various topics, as the three men discussed the intricacies of their upcoming operations and the challenges they were about to face.

Meanwhile, Surya was preparing for the upcoming event with the Shadow Cartel group.

He was still unable to overcome the trauma of the previous incident.

Inside the bathroom, he looked into the mirror and reflected on his actions. He had accepted all of Arjun's terms only because of the situation he was in at the time.

He anticipated a lot of bloodshed in the future and thought he could handle it, but he was unable to do so properly.

Even though he is killing criminals, taking people's lives is still difficult for him.

He was unable to wash the stains of blood from his hands.

He came out of the bathroom, wiping his face and then his hands. He walked towards the balcony, still cleaning his hands, and saw the crescent moon in the sky.

An unknown determination arose within him, so he quickly dressed and left home.

With Arjun's help, he obtained the new address of Aarav's restaurant. He didn't know what would happen tomorrow during the confrontation with 'The Shadow Cartel' group.

So he decided to meet Aarav, Kabir, and Yash for one last time in case anything worse happened. Despite having perfect skills and Arjun's guidance, he still harbored some fear in his mind.

As he reached the new location, he was shocked to see that the new restaurant was named 'The Dragon's Palace', the same as before.

As he entered the restaurant, he saw that it was filled with customers, and all three brothers were completely engaged in serving them.

They were so engrossed in their work that they didn't notice Surya. Surya went near the kitchen and asked, "Do you guys need any help?"

Seeing Surya, Aarav smirked and said, "You bastard. Go help Kabir serve the customers." Surya smiled and started assisting Kabir, as Aarav had instructed.

They worked continuously until the last customer left the restaurant.

Once the work was completed, Surya sat in front of the kitchen, rested his head on the table, and said, "Do you guys work like this every day? Isn't it tiring?"

Aarav replied with a smile, "If you do something with heart, you'll never feel tired."

Upon hearing this, Surya replied with a smile, "Thank you for the advice, old man."

Yash then asked, "How did you find the address?"

Surya replied, "Did you forget that I'm a hacker? Your use of such a creative name, even after that incident, made it easier to find."

Aarav then asked in a serious tone, "The restaurant has been open for several months. Why did you choose to visit now?"

With a smile, Surya replied, "You got me, huh."

Then, with a serious tone, he continued, "Tomorrow, I'm going to take down 'The Shadow Cartel' group. They've messed with me not once, but twice."

He continued, "I have to show them and everyone what happens when anyone messes with 'Athene'. But if something bad happens, then I might not see you guys anymore."

"That's the reason for my visit today — to have one last supper from your hands," said Surya.

Yash said, "If you're expecting any assistance from us, then forget it."

Surya immediately replied, "It's my battle. Even if you insisted on helping me, I would have rejected it. Like I said earlier, I'm here only to meet you one last time in case things go south. Otherwise, I'll come back tomorrow at the same time to help you guys."

Upon hearing Surya's words, Aarav laughed loudly and said, "That's my boy! Ha ha ha!" Kabir also chuckled at Surya's words.

Aarav then said, "Okay, come back victorious and we'll have a great feast tomorrow, and the bill is on me."

Aarav's words instilled newfound confidence in Surya. He replied, "Remember, you promised," with a smile on his face.
