Chapter 39 - Ch 39: Assault

Arjun had sent another piece of equipment along with the mini cameras.

It looked like a door handle, but its base was much larger compared to the size of the handle.

When Surya saw the handle, he was confused about its purpose.

Surya asked Arjun how to use it, but Arjun replied that he would explain when the time came. Arjun also added that Surya shouldn't have to worry because he had checked it before sending it to him.

When the elevator doors were about to close, Arjun told Surya to put on a mask.

As Surya put on the mask, Arjun ordered him to use two smoke grenades in the elevator.

Surya asked, "Why?"

To which Arjun replied, "Just do as I say for now."

Surya did as Arjun commanded.

As the smoke slowly built up, Arjun said to Surya, "Now take that handle-like equipment."

Surya picked up the equipment and held two of them in his two hands.

Arjun then said, "Now listen carefully. As soon as the elevator opens, the enemies may attack you. Use that equipment to stick to the roof of the elevator. Just strike the roof with the handle, it will stick to it. It might be a bit hard to do, but trust me, it will work. Press the green button before using it."

Surya understood Arjun's instructions. He pressed the green button on the handle.

As he pressed it, the base modified and became sharp. Initially, he wondered how he could attach the handle with its plain base, but after the modification, he understood how to use it.

With all his might, he jumped and hit the roof with his right hand. As soon as it pierced the roof, the sharp point opened like a flower blooming from its bud into four parts and attached to the surface, providing a tight grip.

A single handle was able to support Surya's entire body, which gave him some confidence in the equipment.

He then immediately hit the roof with his left hand. After that, he lifted his whole body to stick to the roof. Meanwhile, the smoke completely filled the elevator.

As the elevator opened slowly, smoke began to pour out. However, the group leader completely ignored it and instructed his team to attack.

Some members were using handguns while others wielded automatic rifles. Without mercy, they continued firing bullets into the elevator.

They reloaded their magazines to continue their onslaught.

As the elevator doors opened completely, the smoke slowly filled the room, but it didn't stop their assault.

One of the members with an automatic rifle saw something emerging from the smoke. He paused his firing to observe what it was.

As the flying object emerged from the smoke, the guy realized it was a grenade.

Seeing that, he shouted, "Take cover!" But it was too late; the grenade exploded as soon as it touched the ground.

Then multiple grenades came from the smoke and exploded, wiping out the entire onslaught team along with the group leader.

As the smoke slowly cleared, a member who couldn't move saw Surya hanging on the roof of the elevator with his left hand, his legs sticking to the roof, and holding a grenade in his other hand.

As the onslaught completely ceased, Surya slowly descended from the roof. He placed the grenade back without having used it, picked up the handgun, and began observing the movements of people on the ground to eliminate them.

The guy who saw Surya coming out from the elevator kept a close watch on Surya's movements.

He observed Surya shooting anyone who showed even the slightest movement, including the group leader. Finally, Surya shot him as well because his eyes were open.

Surya then closed the eyes of that guy with his left hand.

Arjun then instructed Surya, "Now listen carefully. Outside the room is a corridor that connects all the rooms. It's like a square donut with 5 interconnected rooms in the middle."

Arjun continued, "Opposite this room on another side is the boss's office. But you can't go directly there. First, clear all five rooms and the corridor. Only then enter the boss's room. And don't forget to place the cameras. You can stick them by throwing them on the walls."

Surya asked, "What if they don't stick?"

Arjun replied, "I think I haven't given you 2-3 cameras."

Surya said, "Yeah," and then picked up a mini camera. He threw it at one of the walls in the room, hitting it accurately and it stuck on the wall.

Surya asked, "Won't they break?"

Arjun replied, "You don't have to worry about their durability. Now you're on your own. I'll do my best to assist you through the snipers. Best of luck."

Surya replied, "Okay."

He opened the door to the room, but the men armed with weapons on both sides of the corridor sprayed bullets in such a manner that the door was detached and fell to the ground.

Surya muttered, "Shit." Spotting some enemy weapons on the ground, he picked up an automatic rifle, but it appeared slightly burnt, so he quickly dropped it.

Surya then threw a smoke grenade at the entrance of the room. As the smoke began to build up, he tossed two more smoke grenades toward both sides from where the attack had come.

Seeing the smoke, all the enemies took cover. The man at the front, who was attempting to see through the smoke at the entrance, shouted to the others to open the ventilation to clear the smoke.

Suddenly, a grenade came flying towards them. The man at the front quickly responded by diving to the other side of the corner to take cover. However, the others were unable to find any cover and were blasted off.

The man slowly rose to see what had happened after the impact, muttering, "Shit!"

He saw that all his team members were on the ground with wounds on their body due to the impact.

In the thick smoke, filled with anger towards the attackers, he loaded his gun with the intent to eliminate anyone responsible for this.

However, he instantly realized that someone was standing beside him, their gun pointed at his head in that smoke.

It was Surya. As the man tried to make out Surya's figure through the smoke, Surya shot him.

Surya then took his loaded automatic rifle and eliminated any other men who showed any movement.

Meanwhile, the other men on the opposite end of the corner, hearing the grenade blast from the other side, thought the attackers had moved to other corner. They attempted to flank and attack them from behind.

Surya realized that if he moved towards one side, the men from the other side would attack him from behind.

In the thick smoke, Surya set up traps using grenades and thin wire, using techniques he had learned in the battle room. These traps were designed so that if anyone stepped on the wire, the grenade's pin would be pulled out, causing it to explode.

The group members initially believed there were multiple attackers, unaware that it was just one person and some snipers positioned outside.

As the men from the other side rushed toward Surya, they unwittingly triggered the traps and were blasted away.

Surya attached cameras to both walls of the corner.

On the other corner, another group leader was waiting for the flames from the grenade to subside so that he could charge with his men.

Meanwhile, Surya set up more traps in the corridor by using the rest of his grenades.

As the smoke settled down, the group leader rushed forward with his team members.

Surya, hearing the footsteps, was surprised and found himself in a deadlock situation, having to deal with attackers from both sides.

The only way to escape was to reach the door, which was a little distance away from him.

In that moment, Surya shot one or two enemies in front of him, but it didn't stop their assault.

Surya got trapped by his own trap. He couldn't enter the elevator room because of the traps he had set up.

Meanwhile, the attackers were putting pressure on him.
