Children sat and talked while eating. They had a pleasant lunch break. The bell rang, warning that it was time to go back to class. Wilhelm and his friends packed up their bags and went to Mr. Broman's classroom. The afternoon went on with math.
Mr. Broman scribbled the equations on the board. The math equations used to bore Wilhelm. He used to be bored with math equations. Now he was confident. He could see his work. The calculations showed new-found ease. So much so that Mr. Broman himself was impressed and couldn't help but appreciate Wilhelm.
"Brilliant work Wilhelm! "said Mr Broman. Wilhelm could see the slight smile on his face. His math skills had seen a marked improvement.
Pride began to appear over Wilhelm's face. " Mr. Broman, I have been working very hard on this." He was grateful that at last he got the attention of Mr. Broman.
Lena and Emma expressed their look of thanks for the work done by Wilhelm. Lena was surprised. She told " Wilhem, you are extremely a talented person in mathematics".
Emma nodded and said," Unfortunately Math is not my cup of tea ," sounding envious.
Wilhelm smiled. He felt satisfied that his friends were standing by him. "Thanks guys. Math used to be quite an ordeal for me". He began to speak of his recent increase in practice. Pride filled him. He spoke of his progress.
In school, Wilhelm handled mathematical equations fairly well for the entire duration of the class. Assurance started building in his confidence when he realized not everybody hated him in mathematics. He had a firm resolution, and he resolved to succeed in the test, with his main objective being to prove himself right that the subject was more than possible to tackle.
