Wilhelm was looking forward to some me-time with his buddies after school, more so because Grandma offered to pick Nathaniel up from kindergarten. Wilhelm was very grateful; in fact, he would buy his grandmother an ice cream from the shop the boys were headed to.
On their way to the ice cream shop, Lena looked it up on her phone, finding the name and address: "Gelato Factory, Södermalmstorg. Best ice cream parfaits in Stockholm." She said.
Sebastian put on a skeptical face. "Can you verify that it's good? I'm not eager to waste my money on bad ice cream."
Laughter of Lena echoed. Her voice was cheerful, "I say, trust in me. Everything here sounds legit."
When they got to shop marked by a wonderful smell. It was an odor of freshly baked waffle cones. Customers looked satisfied. They enjoyed their delicious desserts surrounding the area with their merriment.
They perused the menu briefly and then decided on a choice. Well, a selection of parfaits. They wanted to share dessert together. They wanted a shared experience.
They sat at an outdoor table and Wilhelm felt grateful. He was grateful for his friends and for the good experience of eating dessert with them. "This is wonderful," Wilhelm exclaimed. "I'm so glad we could all hang out now."
She smiled back, "I am happy too. It's always good to break off from studies and just relax." Sofia chipped in, "Moreover, the ice cream which we are having today is great. I am definitely coming back here."
As they wrapped up their parfaits, they already planned another hang-out soon. Wilhelm felt light. He was happy knowing he had friends behind his back. A family, too, who truly cared for him.
