Chapter 12 - Chapter 12:"Recycling waste collection day"

Wednesday mornings Wilhelm and his friends, always knew at school that it was a mid-week day, which was essential for them to go out for the day collecting waste material for recycling, The children all gathered in the school playground, preparing to go out to hunt for materials that would be taken to the recycling plant. Their teachers explained they should find plastic bottles, paper, tin cans, and wet rubbish, which would be used to compost for plants that were grown in the nursery behind the school. Wilhelm with friends Sebastian, Göran, Lars on lookout. Searching for plastic bottles a goal. In classrooms, down by the hallways, outside on playground. Everywhere they've been to collect bottles. Trying to get many bottles. Beside them, Max, Jonathan, Felix Jonas. These are the ones told go to nearby shops. They were tasked with finding metal cans. They walk leisurely in that vicinity. Browsing into garbage cans and dumpsters. Looking for the elusive metal cans. Girls joined them later, girls Lena Sofia. They walk, reaching nearby coffee shop. They made unique arrival. Not for coffee but for plastic drinking glasses. Speaking to crews they had a purpose. That purpose was an environmental project for school. The need was for reused materials. Short and sweet they explained. They directly inquired asking for used glasses. They did this to obtain assistance. And that assistance indeed came. Although at first, the answer seemed to be contained in one bag. That bag contained plastic cups. Emma and Charlotte decided to go and collect fresh garbage to make compost. They ambled around the school, picking up every food remains and organic materials they could find.The students recollected their raw materials into the courtyard. The teachers had arranged for a recycling machine in the school cooperative shop that processed plastics. With a teacher's direction and guidance, the students, together with parents, started sorting, classifying, and feeding materials to the machine. Wilhelm's pride swelled in being part of such essential activity. He voiced his joy to his friends. "It feels really good that we're contributing to saving the environment" he said. Sebastian echoed Wilhelm. "Yeah it is really rewarding. "Working alongside friends has made task pleasing," he pointed. 

Students and teachers toiled ceaselessly relationship that point. The collection. It held significant recyclable materials by end of day. Wilhelm and friends exhibited pride. Their job well accomplished they could now anticipate next week's recycling day. They could only look forward with great excitement.
