Chapter 5 - Chapter 5:"Grandma's Visit"

Inger invited mother-in-law to watch Wilhelm and Nathaniel. She did this during a business trip to London. The kids became thrilled. They could not wait to see grandma. Nathaniel was particularly enthused. He could not hold back. "Hooray! Grandma comes!" he squealed. His joy knew no bounds. He jumped up and down with delight.

Wilhelm was equally excited. A smile overflowed his face as he thought about the prospect of being next to grandmother. "I am energetic," he said. His chirpy voice resonated across the room. "I will show football to her!" He could not get any more excited.

Inger made sure to give mother-in-law all needed information. She informed housekeeper to be there for her, during her visit. "Just tell the housekeeper if anything is required, Mom" she said. "Phone me immediately in emergency." Her mother-in-law nodded. She felt thankful for the support and help.

"Thank you Inger. I will take excellent care of the boys while you're not here" she promised.

Inger went to car. Her driver waited at Årlanda. The airport was her destination. "I will miss you all. I'll be back soon," she declared. Her sons and mother-in-law received final hug. Then she bid goodbye.

"We'll miss you mom," Wilhelm expressed his emotion. He felt decidely sad. His mother leaving left its mark.

"Do not cry, Wilhelm," his grandmother replied to him. She promised him that they would have a good time. Their good time would indeed last as long as Inger was away. She patted him on the back too. This touched Wilhelm.

Inger got into car. She waved goodbye. The car drove off. Inger held a swirling mix of emotions. There was joy. Alongside, there was also nervousness. Excitement was there as she thought of her trip. But there was also nervousness.

She felt settled in her seat. This calm feeling enveloped her. The knowledge that her family is in capable hands settled these nerves. She greeted her upcoming London adventure. These thoughts carried her through the journey. She embraced the coming journey to London.
