Chereads / The Game Master: Lord Of The Abyss / Chapter 2 - Endless Chaos

Chapter 2 - Endless Chaos

The suction was so intense that Zyreth had to do his all to at least slow down the force. Now that the lock on his body had disappeared, his eyes flashed, and tried to connect again with the Abyss Core, it came as no surprise that he failed.

Seeing Oblivion so confident, Zyreth knew he was indeed thrown and sealed into some kind of place. He also discovered that it seemed his energy was being sucked on slowly and the speed of his energy regeneration was even almost negligible.

He didn't know where he was, but only one place came into his mind. Having come to this point, Zyreth didn't resist anymore. He would only exhaust himself for nothing as no matter what he did, his situation was imminent.

Gradually, the force slowed down. Still, to bear the impact of his descent, Zyreth had no choice but to use his domain and its energy. When he stopped, smoke rose around his body, and he sighed in relief.

Zyreth sensed his surroundings and opened his eyes. His form had returned to that of a normal human aside from two horns in his head. His red hair then became so conspicuous in a world of white and gray.

There wasn't any bright color at all and all appeared dull. As he roamed his eyes around, he didn't see anyone other than him and it was all endless white and gray from as far as his eyes could see. And this was even the fact that his vision was not like any ordinary.

"Endless Chaos," Zyreth muttered amidst the silence. His voice unexpectedly made a kind of resonance as his surroundings seemed to boil and his words echoed.

It took a few minutes before his voice ceased. Zyreth's lips twitched. That experience was truly so strange that he didn't want to repeat it again. He turned around and there really wasn't anything. Wrinkling his brow, he sat in the air.

He maintained that position silently and pondered his next course of action. Occasionally, some chaotic waves would pass by him, leaving some cuts in his body before being healed instantly.

However, one could understand how dangerous these chaotic waves were, as if they were ordinary people; they had long been cut to strips. Zyreth was currently in his original body, which was the body of an immortal ancient god, and yet he was still cut by these waves.

Still, his position was maintained like a boulder.

In his memories, there wasn't much information about Endless Chaos. It was truly a place that was unknown to everyone. Zyreth knew it existed, but other than it and some superficial information, he didn't know anything else.

He was also certain that Oblivion was the same, but unlike him, Oblivion was almost an embodiment of Void, so tearing a passage to Endless Chaos should still be doable even with a higher sacrifice.

Thinking of the bastard Oblivion, Zyreth opened his eyes as it flashed with a red glint. He gnashed his teeth, desiring to tear that man to pieces.

What could he do? No one knew of this place, so the method of escape was even more of a mystery. Zyreth then flew, intending to observe the place, and yet only a few hours later, he had to stop.

This place truly was a mystery. He didn't see anything or anyone again but instead encountered a few more chaotic waves, and for some of them, he had to defend himself from how intense the chaotic elements were.

For Zyreth, who was currently trapped inside this place and had his regeneration restricted, he couldn't afford to waste his power. Who wouldn't have known that he had to be meticulous and cautious when he had never cared before?

Taking a seat again in the air, he observed the place. Zyreth clicked his tongue. If he wasn't sealed to this place by a despicable tactic, he would never care.

Just look at this place; it was like his dream place to sleep for as long as he wanted. No one would disturb him, and he has no responsibilities to attend to. As for dying? Unless Abyss wasn't destroyed, he would exist.

However, he would never let Oblivion get away with it safely. No way, he had to return! This debt must be paid a hundred times.

Zyreth didn't have a concept of time, to begin with, and this place just so happened to be a place without a concept of anything at all. After an unknown amount of time, he sucked a breath and opened his palm.

From above his palm, a miniature abyss was reflected. It was Zyreth's domain. Usually, it was connected to the abyss core, and so his Infernal Power was almost limitless. However, this time, aside from his own regenerative abilities in this domain, he couldn't count on the real Abyss at all.

In fact, it was not clear what was first created—this domain of his or the Abyss. Zyreth never bothered to remember these little details or he had long forgotten the useless memories in his mind.

It's a mess. The energy was also almost depleted.

Zyreth didn't voice it out loud but muttered inwardly. He was afraid his voice would echo again, which was annoying even for him. This domain bears the impact of his descent, and as he was inside that force, most of his energy was sucked and dissipated.

Although easygoing without much aspiration other than to sleep, falling from the position of a powerful ancient god to being this useless and unable to use his power still made him uncomfortable.

His brows were closely knit together, observing his domain, which only had a sparse amount of energy left. Zyreth almost had a plan to use it and penetrate the void, but it was already gone with the wind as soon as he thought of it, looking at the condition of his domain.

The energy inside was only enough to keep the operation going. Although the energy was also regenerating, it was far too slow for his liking. Before it could reach its peak, who knew how many years had passed?

In that Oblivion, Zyreth was confident he was still planning something, to the point where he used everything and lowered his dignity to exile him. He generally didn't care what his subordinates were doing, but they were all still his creation, bearing his blood. There was no way Zyreth would let all of them be bullied by Oblivion and those despicable divine gods.

Closing his palm, the miniature abyss vanished. Zyreth rested his head on his clasped hand as he sat cross-legged. His consciousness wandered. It was easier to explore this place than his own body.

Not affected by this place, his strong consciousness already spanned a distance of countless miles from where he was. Yet he had to stop, his forehead sweating from several bullets. Zyreth's complexion was also pale.

Taking a deep breath, he felt some fear inside. This place was indeed unusual; those chaotic waves that were made by pure chaotic elements could also affect his consciousness!

His consciousness retreated, yet he was still submerged in the waves as he felt his consciousness bypass something. And at this time, something even more unexpected happens. After a flash, he saw a light. Zyreth's brows rose, concentrating, and he chose to explore again with his consciousness.

Soon, he became aware of his surroundings. Unlike the white and gray environment in Endless Chaos, what was before him was a boundless sea of stars.

And in front of him was a... Blue Planet.
