Among his early creations, some would say this massive flesh was considered a failure. However, Zyreth knew it was a child he was most proud of. Although how it operated was the most basic regeneration, it was actually the core of his domain. That says something of its significance.
A few moments later, when the tranquility of the place returned, Zyreth also stopped stroking the massive flesh as a throne seemed to emerge from beneath him, and Zyreth began to walk towards it.
The throne was adorned by the skulls of the ancient beasts, while blood vessels outlined the seat. It was similar to his throne in the real Abyss. He sat on his throne, crossing his legs as he rested his chin on his hand.
The outline of his whole domain was projected to him, while the other side was the Blue Planet. Zyreth stroked his chin, and his eyes lit up. He waved his hand, and the projection before him changed; instead of two side-by-side images, it was now composed of dozens of images portraying scenes from different places.
It also appeared like a surveillance monitor. He smiled satisfactorily. His consciousness then serves as the camera from all over the world.
Putting it aside, he decided to focus on his domain first. He watched his domain for a bit and pondered.
"Can I use this domain as the settings of the game?" Zyreth mumbled, his eyes brightening soon after.
This idea was possible. His first plan was to create another dimension, but considering he needed to use his Infernal Power sparingly, why did he need to create from scratch if he already had his ready-made setting?
Zyreth was never indecisive, so he promptly decided it like that. Tapping his index finger on the armrest, he thought of a problem. His initial investment, which was his Infernal Power, would be enormous. Before he harvested a bunch of souls... well, energies, he would only be spending his won power without much return for a few months.
All this was necessary for his plan, and Zyreth wasn't stingy in the slightest. However, the cost was significant at the early point of the game.
Looking at the outline of his domain, his eyes flashed and he thought.
Then, I'll reconstruct the topography of my domain.
Currently, his domain was truly a replica of the real Abyss, even with how massive it was. Although it wasn't as exaggerated as the real Abyss that had become almost infinite because of constantly swallowing planes, it still had a considerable area to maintain.
Moreover, it didn't make sense to have that huge area, but it was empty. Before, Zyreth couldn't care less how wasteful his domain was. But in his current self, he realized it was truly extravagant.
What was truly important was the core of his domain, and he could change the appearance of the rest as he pleased. Having decided on that, he prepared to change it.
Zyreth stroked his chin, his hand waved, and at his beckon, the domain seemed to be crumbling and disintegrating.
"It's enough to have one surface." He nodded at this, and the ten floors quickly merged in a matter of seconds. His domain was practically empty, so there was no need to think about casualties, but even so, he didn't care much.
Not long after, the domain that was replicating the real Abyss with ten floors only left one massive surface. Still, the location of the core didn't change, and it was still in the deepest part of the domain. The underground took over the space on the other floors.
Although the other floors merged on the first floor, it didn't expand much, and most of the energy in the structures was all consumed by the core. Therefore, the core stored a lot of power this time, but it was still far from the necessary requirement to reach its peak.
There was only an empty space on the ground, despite the huge space. Looking at it overall, there was only a colossal tower as the sole structure on the surface.
The tower was actually his treasury. There were countless floors inside, and each floor held unique or even interesting races, creatures, or the rarest treasures.
Some were collected by him personally, while others came from the offerings of his subordinates. When Zyreth was a bit younger and wasn't bored yet exploring the countless planes and universes, he would sometimes bring souvenirs with him after his trips.
Over the years, this tower has transformed into more than just a treasury. Last time he checked, there were also civilizations inside from some of the floors. Even Zyreth didn't know how many floors it already had.
"This tower... is a treasure indeed," Zyreth laughed. For him, who hated using his brain cells too much, having already prepared settings was always welcome!
So it could stay. His index finger moved, and the tower moved and teleported to the center. Zyreth then buried most of its body underground until only the peak was seen. Although it still looked so huge, the top was barely visible. Most of its body was now located underground, almost reaching the core.
Zyreth also moved the center; as such, it was directly above him. He continued changing the topography of the place, as he knew that settings were also important in a game.
The ground shook again, and the center of which the tower was located drifted apart until it seemed to be located on a huge island. With his consciousness, the lone island was immediately surrounded by a sea with dangerous depths and extended to far on the surface, which would then also connect some places in the 'game map'.
He only continued perfecting the map of his game using his domain. After an unknown amount of time, the initial outline of the map was completed.
The surface, which was only empty some time ago, now has a more profound topography. Zyreth scrutinized his work and nodded, a small smile appearing on his lips.
"Not bad," he chuckled and stood. In the blink of an eye, he was already standing in the skies and looking down at his domain. It was better to look at it much more closely.
"What should I call it? Hmm..." Zyreth thought for a moment, and his red eyes shone. "The main map shall be called... Abyssal Realm." He didn't have much creativity, so he would only call it that.
As though celebrating the birth of the new name, the whole domain—Abyssal Realm—boiled. The reddish mist then poured from the atmosphere, enveloping some of the places with concentrated leyline.
The mists also obscured most of the game map, especially the location of the center, where the tower was located. It would be discerned then that the greater the concentration of the red mist, the more dangerous it was for the players in the future.
From the periphery, or what would then be called the Abyss' Edge, the red mists were thin, and as one explored deeper into the Abyssal Realm, the thicker the mist.
Zyreth stared at the Abyssal Realm. Suddenly, he was really looking forward to how the players would explore this map. It seemed he wouldn't get bored while waiting for his powers to be restored.
