Now that the game map was initially completed, Zyreth proceeded with the agenda. After all, it wouldn't be too late to add more elements to the map in the future.
Zyreth's body then flashed, and his body returned to the core. He didn't need to explore the whole game map himself; it was the player's job to discover it themselves.
"The next is the... system."
Zyreth also knew the importance of this so-called system to let the operation of the game work efficiently. Of course, he didn't need to code a bunch of data for that, and his 'system' was much easier and more developed.
He looked at the domain's core and started with his plan. As the core, it would also become the center of the system for the whole game. Zyreth smiled, and a magical keyboard soon appeared before him.
In fact, it was truly unnecessary, and he could change the rules inside the domain with his thoughts. However, Zyreth thought it would be more fun to act like the game developer when they were working. He might as well enjoy his time here.
Unknowingly, Zyreth was truly having fun, and his boredom had eased significantly. In his earlier years, when he created a lot of things, it was his first time feeling this kind of sensation again. It was as though the passion he had was re-ignited.
For the time being, focusing on his game kept him entertained more than he expected. Zyreth's fingers typed faster and faster, and the beating of the core quickened as if being influenced by the movements of his hands.
The system and its rules were developed by him not long after. It was basically just a change of the rules in the domain, which he made a reference to by observing the VR games of humans.
Zyreth also let his core act as the Artificial Intelligence to supervise the whole game for him. Although he would also be observing the game, especially for potential players, The humans on this blue planet were also a huge resource that he couldn't pass by. Their souls were nurtured for so many years and held great potential.
Their innate potential might surprise him, and he was even more looking forward to it. Perhaps... Could a new demon lord or lords appear here? Zyreth's grin widened at this thought.
This kind of unpredictable future and the infinite possibilities were what made Zyreth extremely excited to know the outcome in the end. And so, the efficiency of his work increased considerably.
His hands stopped, and the system was finally done. This 'system' was even more special; after all, it wasn't only game data. He didn't only create the system; along with it were the game rules and a lot of other things necessary for a full game.
Moreover, Zyreth also added what direction he had in mind for his game. He never forgets his real purpose for doing this game, which was to influence the Blue Planet to become his source of energy. And to do that, he had to lure the humans to play his game.
Zyreth leaned on his throne; his eyes stared at the monitors playing the scenes of The Blue Planet. His game was mostly done and only needed finishing touches on his end, such as lores and creatures, or 'NPCs' to make things lively. Those were easy for him and didn't need much thought.
What he was about to do next was the most crucial one; if he didn't succeed, then all of his plans would be for naught. His red eyes shimmered, appearing like a hungry predator eyeing its prey.
Narrowing his eyes, his consciousness around the Blue Planet spread out even more, and they fully surrounded the whole planet. Not only that, his consciousness also created a massive barrier around the core. Zyreth was careful not to alert though, and made sure that its operation would still continue as usual.
He took a deep breath and stood up. Zyreth could use his power while sitting down, but he couldn't afford any failures. During his observation of the planet and when he decided to make a game, his mind had already formulated possible solutions on how he could connect his game to the planet.
It should be noted that Zyreth was still inside the Endless Chaos, and his connection to the material dimension was severed. He didn't know exactly where the Blue Planet was, but judging from its low energy and the fact that it hadn't been discovered yet, it should be located far away from the main material plane.
Zyreth also suspected that it was located just at the boundary of the Endless Chaos, or at least that the barrier was thinner than on the material plane, which was why his consciousness could pass through.
In his plan, he would be using his consciousness to create a passage through his domain using his domain core. Zyreth would also be using the Blue Planet's core as the primary point of his domain.
It was easier said than done. Zyreth seemed casual, but he wasn't a hundred percent sure he would succeed. However, he wasn't easily discouraged and preferred to proceed with his theories.
He left his throne until he was already in front of the domain core; his consciousness was already prepared outside. This undertaking needed a lot of Infernal Power as he would be creating a path through the void.
What made it harder were the restrictions of the Endless Chaos itself, even if his theory that the barrier around Blue Planet was thin proved to be correct. Zyreth could only be optimistic, as this passage was not made to accommodate his body but the souls of the humans instead.
Zyreth became solemn, and his casual grin faded. He touched the core and shut his eyes. Then he anchored his consciousness outside as the other end of the path. Slowly, he started to channel his Infernal Power to create the passage between dimensions.
His domain core shone, and the whole domain seemed to roar as massive amounts of power were consumed every second. Zyreth gritted his teeth and focused on creating the passage. He could feel his energy growing weaker, but the core circulated and did everything to regenerate as fast as it could.
Fortunately, he reconstructed his domain, and he had stored a lot of energy in it. The surface of his domain also shook as though the end of the world was near, but aside from the quakes, the surface was calm and nothing was destroyed, as though the movements of the earth and sea were a mere illusion.
The same thing couldn't be said on the Blue Planet; while there weren't apocalyptic earthquakes, the signals throughout the whole world were disrupted for a moment. It was enough for humans to be in an uproar and quickly turn to relevant departments to know what the reason for this phenomenon was.
As for Zyreth, he finally confirmed just how difficult it was to create a passage in the Endless Chaos. In fact, the path he was taking could only be compared to the size of a needle, enough for the human soul to pass through, and yet he had already spent too much of his power.
A few minutes later, Zyreth opened his eyes, and his hand fell to his side in exhaustion. His body flashed and he sat on his throne, leaning into it as he caught his breath.
His domain core's beating was a bit weak as well.
Zyreth looked at the Blue Planet's core. Despite his obvious exhaustion, a small tug lifted from the corner of his lips.
"Success," he muttered and laughed. Everything was worth it.
