Chapter 34 - Two Bears

The kid ran along the floor of the shed with a cloth, cleaning the floor. He had a bump on his head the size of a....let's see here...just picture a big box, a box that would deliver something like a washing machine. That's the size of the bump.

I could have just said washing machine, couldn't I?...Anywho, he was crying bitter tears as he cleaned the floor while his Aunt stood over him, monitoring every movement he did. The weapons were kept in a corner. They were having a rare moment of silence. One was still trying to figure out the impossibility of it's existence, and another was scared out of it's wits.

Since the boy was holding on to the scythe while he ran, the scythe was subjected to the same, terrifying image of the murderous Aunt that the boy saw. As powerful as the scythe thought it was, one look from that lady brought him to his knees...figuratively.

Alex once again, was made to work on the front garden. He did not object, of course. He was a lot smarter that the madman known as "TBD"(To be determined)

Once he was done cleaning the floor, his Aunt slowly walked on the floor, reached down, and slid her thumb across the floor. The boy held his breath during the inspection, afraid a single breath could send his Aunt into a frenzy.

Aunt Teresa looked at her thumb, looked at the boy, and gave a nod. The boy let out a sigh of relief.

"Now go chop some trees in the forest and get us some firewood"

"Ummm...can't we jus-"

"Choose your next words very carefully"

"....Yes ma'am"

"Take this"

Aunt Teresa walked out of the shed and brought back an old and rusty axe. The boy was about to say something, but a single glare from his Aunt was enough to choke him up. He meekly took the axe and speed walked out of the shed.

"Don't leave me here~" whimpered Second, but the boy did not even glance in that direction.

"And right after he gave that speech...'I'll never let my weapons shatter'.....bullshit!"

Aunt Teresa sighed and walked out of the shed as well.

"I'll check on the farm for a while...."

"Talk to me flump! I'm bored!"

"You know, when we were being made, that sweat that landed on us, you think it had a lot of experience collected in it?"

".....Never mind"

"No?....Hmmm, maybe it's the dirt in between his fingernails..."

"Please stop..."

"Or it could be that teeny bit of gray hair....no wait that only landed on me, not you, and he got rid of it..."

".....GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!"

**********************************************************

The kid tumbled down a grassy slope. He clutched the axe with his thigh, which was quite easy, cause the thing was now firmly stuck wedged in his thigh. So the axe was clutching him, you might say, it had taken a dig at him..... get it? It dug into his skin, taken a dig at him... no?....alright.

He was running through the forest at full speed, looking for a suitable tree to cut, cause he wanted a really dry tree for firewood. He then tripped over a root, and just as he was about to stumble and fall, he steadied himself.

"Phew..."

Then a bunny kicked him in the back and and he tumbled over onto a slope, rolling down it, the axe already firmly lodged in his thigh.

"AHhHhHhHhHhHhHhHhHhH" (He's rolling down a hill, so this is appropriate)

He suddenly crashed into something humongous. It was also hairy. According to every encounter ever, this was most likely going to an unpleasant encounter.

Sure as a needle, the boy had crashed into a bear. The bear looked at the boy. The boy looked at the boy.

"Hii", the boy said while waving both his hands.

The bear blinked at him, then waved both its paws and growled.

"Huh? I wasn't expecting that..."

I also was not expecting that....give me a second to compose myself.

"So, how are you bear? What did you have for lunch? I bet it was fish"

"....."

"Ahem..."

Huh? Oh yeah.... the bear growled.

"Rrrrrrrr"

"Why does it seem, like you're almost-"

"Bern! Where are you Bern?!"

"Roarrrrr...."

"Oh there you are! Hmm, who's this?"

A tall man with gold eyes and brown hair walked toward the bear. He was in blue overalls and had a long brown beard. He was quite fit and almost looked like a...bear. He looked at the boy on the floor.

"What are you doing in this part of the woods, you shouldn't be this deep into the forest, and what is going on with your leg! Is that an axe?!"

The boy looked at his leg with the axe stuck in it. Blood was pooling around the leg, soaking the pant he was wearing in a deep shade of red. His eyes widened as if he was just noticing it, before he broke out into a smile.

"Oh hey, there it is! I thought I lost it. It would have been real hard to chop trees without it! Good axe, you came with me!"

".....What are you made of kid?"

"Hmm? Oh wait, I think I studied this in school, uhh... veins, tissues, muscles, bones and a....flesh definitely....but it might be different here...but I don't feel any different..."

"That's not what I asked..."

"But I definitely heard you. I didn't injure my ears, I'm pretty sure, so I definitely can't be hearing thing-"

"Stop. No more talking, except to tell me your name. What's your name, tiny?"

"Haven't made one yet, ask me in...a month"

"..."

"Hey look at that, you have twitch face! My Aunt Teresa has it too!"

The man raised an eyebrow.

"Teresa?"

"Yeah, Aunt Teresa"

"Hmm...very well, come with me"

"Ok!"

The boy stood up and started to hobble after the man, who had started to walk away.

"Wait a moment!"

The man looked back at the boy and saw him wobbling. He sighed and started to talk.

"Alright, I'll let you rid-"

The man's pupils contracted as he saw the boy reach down and rip the axe from his leg, splattering blood everywhere and causing the wound to gush blood.

"Alright, we're good to go now!"

"NO WE ARE NOT! BERN!"

"ROAR!"

The bear dashed toward the boy and flipped him onto his back. It then bounded forward. The man followed behind it closely. The man's face was pale as he saw the amount of blood the boy was losing.

"Bern! Faster!"

"Woah! I've never ridden a bear before! This is so cool!"

'What sort of crazy kid did Teresa bring home?'
