The bear bounded through the forest, carrying a hooting and hollering madman bleeding all over the place. An exasperated man followed behind the bear, with a twitching face looking at the boy's antics.
The bear soon left the forest and arrived at a clearing. It was a huge clearing with a single, giant ferris wheel right in the middle. It seemed to be made of wood, nothing but wood, but was still rotating slowly, seemingly operated by hopes and dreams or magic or something fictional like that.
"Woah...."
Thousands upon thousands of wild animals occupied the clearing. None were farm animals, all of them were wild animals that would usually not be so orderly. The animals were waiting in a long line to go on the ferris wheel.
Along with the huge line for that ride, there were many other rides, a roller coaster, a bouncy castle, the thing that spins you around like you're in a centrifuge, the teacups etc., all made out of wood.
The bear charged through the carnival, heading straight to the bouncy castle.
"Ooooh are we gonna bounce? I love bouncing! Bouncing is one of my favourite activities! Along with training"
The bear and the man both ignored the boy.
"Woah, we might have to wait a bit before we bounce though, I'm getting dizzy...if we bounce now I'm gonna miss out on all the fun..."
The boy dozed off from the blood loss.
"STAY AWAKE PIPSQUEAK!"
He was jolted awake by the man's voice.
"Huh? Why? I'm feeling sleepy..."
"NO SLEEPING! YOU HEAR ME!?"
"Loud and clear boss...mhm..."
The man started panicking a bit. The boy was starting to sleep again. He looked around to look for a way to keep him awake. He spotted a couple, a turtle and a wolf who were about to share a sip of a drink, a slushy.
He grabbed the slushy and jumped from the table. He flipped over the bear and used the cold slushy to wake him up, smacking him in the face with ice and flavoured water.
"Huh?! What?"
He licked the side of his face.
"Mhm...yummy"
The man landed in front of the bear and made way for it to continue past him. He then looked back and shouted,
"You can try any carnival ride free of charge for the slushy!"
The disgruntled couple quickly calmed down, and even smiled and waved at the man.
"Ahaha, magical slushy rides..."
"What is the pipsqueak babbling about now?"
"Rrrrrr...."
"....Let's just get him to Marrie"
Bern nodded and continued to rush toward the bouncy castle. After a few more minutes of delirious babbling, they had reached the front door of the castle. The bear bounded through crowds of people, ignoring their cries of dissatisfaction and charged through the door.
"Roarrrrr!"
"Get down you fat bear! I have too many patients who need help! I can't pay attention to your little bruises anymore! Go ask that old man to patch you up!"
"Rrrrrrrr"
"I said-"
"Marrie, this time it isn't Bern who needs help! It's the boy on his back and it's really serious!"
The man ran into the castle and decided to let Marrie know that this wasn't an ordinary case.
"-and this boy is related to Teresa"
"Hmmm?"
Marrie took one look at the boy bleeding and delirious on Bern's back and went as pale as the man a little while ago.
"Oh dear, Teresa? What have you done to him, you stupid man!"
"I didn't do anything! He did it to himself!"
"Shame on you!"
"I'm telling the truth!"
"Bring him to me! Hurry up, he's really close to dying!"
"Rrrrrr"
"I'm really telling the truth...."
Marrie, the old cat woman carried the boy and laid him on a bed. She then started injected a syringe filled with a weird yellow liquid into the boy's leg. The bleeding slowed down, just enough for her to start to clean the wound.
"What weapon caused this?"
"A rusted axe"
"A rusted axe, alri-WHAT?"
The man shrunk under the furious gaze of the old cat.
"And you just pulled the axe out of him?! Do you have any sense old man?"
"I didn-"
"Shut up"
"..."
The man finally gave up trying to convince the doctor that he wasn't the one responsible for the boy's condition. As long as the boy would be okay, it would be fine.
"You got to save him Marrie, if Teresa is really his Aunt then-"
"I don't care who his Aunt is, right now he's my patient, and if you think that I would allow my patient to die, then you are sorely mistaken"
Marrie continued to treat the boy, injecting various vaccines in his leg. She then took out a suturing kit and began to close up the scar.
When it was finally all done, she put away the kit and let out a long sigh.
"It's done. The boy will be fine"
The man stood up, delighted.
"Thank god!"
Marrie stared at him maliciously.
"I-I mean, thank you!"
Marrie nodded. She then lifted the boy onto Bern's back and patted him.
"Take the boy to a safe place to rest. Let it be an area with not many people so that he can sleep in peace"
"Rrrrrrr"
After the man and boy had left, Marrie called in the next person.
"What's wrong Doctor?"
".....Nothing, my child. What seems to be the matter?"
**************************************************************************
In a corner of the bouncy castle, Bern, the man and the sleeping boy were resting after their tiresome marathon.
"So Bern, what do you think about the kid?"
"Rrrrrrr"
"Yeah, I think he's crazy too, but what else?"
Bern looked at the snoring boy sleeping peacefully beside him, disturbing the peace of others trying to get checked or enjoying the carnival.
"Rrrrrrr"
"Yeah, that pain tolerance, and that attitude, it isn't natural..."
The man glanced at Bern.
"What do you think happened to him at such a young age?"
"Rrrrrrr"
".....It can't be something as simple as being dropped on the head as a baby, right?"
