Guin breathed a sigh of relief as Jerome turned back and continued his steps through the barrier gap, followed by Regine. Once they all passed through the barrier, it closed completely, cutting off her connection with her physical body. When she realized that she wouldn't be able to get out of this room as long as this barrier was there, Guin panicked a little.
As if a force had attacked her, her mana receded drastically, forcing her to return to her shadow form of a small fox cub. Guin felt weak, and her head felt heavy. It was as if a sledgehammer had hit her head.
In the next second, she felt her shadow form float and suddenly land on something soft and warm. Her vision darkened, but she knew she was still conscious and saw a black robe covering her.
