Morell looked around to the landscape, swords and spears, as well as various other weapons pierced into the surface.
She stayed cautious to her surroundings, holding her knife upfront as she slowly walked backwards, awaiting Chronos' approach.
"You're a difficult one, Morell."
Giant shards of glass fell from the sky, landing into the ground around of Morell, startling her with each impact as the glass formed a dome around her.
"I appear like the villain now, but it's always been you, y'know?"
The shards of glass began reflecting Morell, as she began panicking, moving around frantically, as Chronos' laugh could be heard.
"If you never came here, many lives would've been saved.. I've been watching you, closely."
Morell's reflections stopped mimicking her, instead appearing to walk towards her as her eyes widened. She backed away, the walls closing in.
"Aku's death is to your blame, hundreds were tortured to create your vessel, this revolutionary of yours has caused more suffering then success…"
Morell was freaking out, holding her head tightly before turning around, punching the shard of glass behind her as she closed her eyes tightly.
"And you believe you're the right Ruler..?"
Morell opened her eyes, now with different surroundings as she fell on one knee, holding her face behind her hands as she sobbed quietly, her tears of black running down her arms.
"You're pitiful, Morell. Cry me a river. I'll show this city a proper Queen…"
Morell shook her head agressively, the memories, the sights of true suffering all replayed in her mind. Her breeathing increasing as her mouth was let agape.
"Get out of my head.. Get out.. It hurts… It's not my fault.. I'm sorry.. I'm…"
Morell muttered to herself quietly, the atmosphere of silence, only the sound of her tears hitting the ground being heard.
Chronos' laughed allowed, her voice fading slowly, as so did the surroundings. She returned to where she is, though no one else remained but Reece, placing her hand gently on Morell's shoulder.
Morell let out a loud cry, startling Reece as she retreated her hand. She gripped onto her bangs tightly, looking up to the sky. Though made to look beautiful, Morell looked like a complete mess in her current state.
"I DON'T WANT TO BE RULER..!"
Reece's hands raised to her mouth, looking down at Morell sadly, never seeing her in such a state, it left Reece tearied eyed herself.
"I can't.. I.. I'm worthless.."
Her hands lowered from her face, her eyes running with black tears as she slowly looked back towards Reece.
"Don't you get it? I've only caused harm so far! I'm a horrible leader, just go follow Chronos.. I'm done."
Morell slowly atood up, walking away with sorrow in her presence. Reece watched her, wordless as her expression slowly grew in anger, her fist clenching before she suddenly rushed towards Morell, punching her in the back of the head.
"What the fuck's gotten into you!? You're just gonna quit?? A good leader accepts their mistakes, not everything goes accordingly!"
Morell was knocked to the ground, looking up at Reece as she held the back of her head. Reece reached down, lifting Morell off the floor by her clothing to shout in her face, being overall agressive towards her.
"A bad leader cries like a bitch when something doesn't fo there way..! A bad leader.. quits…"
Morell was left in shock to her agressive approach, as Reece calmed down, pulling Morell into an embrace.
"Sorry, Morell… I guess I never really question your emotional state, huh? I can't act like I understand your problems..!"
She released Morell from the embrace, placing her hands on her shoulders as she gave her a smile, Morell's empty expression staying.
"C'mon, don't quit on me..! Okay..?"
She gave Morell a pat on the back, holding onto her wrist as she began leading her through the streets. Though Reece tried to lighten up the mood, Morell was at her worst.
She brought Morell to a cafe. Nobody worked there as it was abandoned, though all the foods and ingredients were still edible.
She sat Morell down at the table, in which she'd look to the floor. Reece sighed, frowning herself as she walked to the counter, hurdling over it as she took two cups, getting cream and other things ready.
Morell merely sat there, her head placed on the table, as she stayed motionless, almost looking death to others.
The sound of the door opening could be heard, though Reece was to occupied to hear it. Evan had returned once again, sitting across from Morell as he poked at her head.
"C'mon, quit sulking."
Morell slowly raised her head, her face still a mess from the tears as Evan sighed, patting her head.
"Look, I don't want you to view me as a bad guy. I'm helping you cause I want to, alright?"
He lit a cigar, taking a hit as he blew the smoke out in a ring shape, Morell sighing as she watched him, awaiting him to explain why he was even here.
"I might have put microphones on you,, so I know what happened.. Y'know, your creation isn't your fault. I don't know what you've caused, but your birth was a miracle, truly. Don't ever doubt that."
"Y'know, I made lots of mistakes, I often question if my research is even worth it.. But you're a good soul, your goal is unrelated to your mistakes. Some may suffer in the process, but if you become Ruler that suffering will end indefinitely..!"
Morell's eyes became less empty, as she tilte dher head, listening to what he had to say…
"Chronos isn't a good leader, but a great manipulator. If she becomes Ruler order will return, but this order will involve everyone being as if puppets.. You need to stop that."
Morell, looked down, wiping away her tears before she looked back up to Evan, nodding.
"You're right.. I made a promise, I can't just quit now…"
Evan smiled, before a kick to the head, falling out of his chair as Reece stood there, carrying a tray with three lattes.
"Get out of my seat, dumbass!"
She laughed aloud, Evan beginning to argue with her as Reece only continued to giggle. Eventually even Morell let out a small giggle to their bickering, the two looking at her in surprise as she had a slight smile.
"I won't quit now."
