Morell, Reece, and Evan had travelled out, returning to the dungeon, a lab reciding within. Morell and Reece looked around at the room, many odd machines laying around.
Evan sat down in front of a large panel full of switches and buttons, accessing the large screen upon the wall as he brought up a file. It consisted of Morell's information, as well as a 3d model of him, the two others looking towards it.
"So, Morell. I've re-examined your body and I've found an odd energy source on you.. That ring of yours, may I see it..?"
He spun his chair to face Morell, holding his hand out as Morell approached, gently tugging on the ring, though it wouldn't come off, causing her to pull harder.
"It won't come off.. I got this ring when I was close to death, I believe it gives me my newfound power."
She held her hand out, a dark matter spreading from the ring down her arm, as Evan stood up. His eyes widened, the purple crystal of Morell's ring glowing as she clenched her fist, her entire arm incasing in the black matter, from the shoulder to her fingertips.
"Morell, this is remarkable..! This.. this ring carries a whole concept in it's grasp.. You're practically a god by wearing it..!"
Morell was a bit shocked from this knowledge, Reece intrigued as she leaned forth, tilting her head.
"Doesn't seem that powerful, I've seen some of her new tricks, but her black holes seem stronger.."
Evan grasped Morell's wrist, holding her hand up to get a closer look. He seemed very excited to see such a rare item, the ring of a god.
"Well, obviously it isn't much now. If she can full harness this ring, hell, she may be the strongest being to walk the land.."
"These rings usually take up tons of energy, too much for the average person to survive, but Morell doesn't need energy, she can practicly use it limitlessly..!"
Morell didn't know much of what to say, taking her wrist back from Evan's grasp as she looked down at her ring, her eyes sparking in awe.
"Are.. Are you serious..? This ring is that powerful…? Oh my…"
She gently closed her fist, the glowing stopping and the darkness disappearing as Reece watched with curiosity, Evan on the other hand running back to his panel, a drone auddenly coming down as it scanned Morell's ring.
A file for the ring appeared on the screen, the information of it loading as words buffered onto ths creen, stating:
"This appears to one of the ring of concepts. The origin of rings are unknown, though thought to be made by the gods long ago. This ring has no past information, neither in visual evidence, or past writings of it. It appears to represent darkness, or 'nothingness.' It's full capabilities are unknown."
Morell and Reece read through the description thuroughly, Evan on the other hand moving around to press buttons and switches, before turning on a machine, a flask within it as a dark substance negan filling it.
"Hey Morell, I'm gonna need you to stick your arm out for a second."
Morell raised an eyebrow, though she abliged as Evan open a drawyer, taking a syringe out. He gained the now full flask, placing the needle inside to suck up the liquid, before strolling over to Morell and injecting the liquid into her arm.
Morell flinched, moving back, though the fluid was already within her. Reece frowned and whacked Evan in the side of the head, placing her hands on her hips.
"Geez, you don't just stick needles into people without warning em'!"
She glared at him as he rubbed his head, returning to the panel as he pressed one last button, Morell suddenly feeling a rush to her head, her eyes twitching a bit.
"Now obviously you can't learn how to use that ring in an instant, however I've put little robots in you to boost your learning speed, now go regain your title, I wanna see what that ring can do..!"
Evan shooed them off, as Morell obliged, Reece giving him a mean look before walking off with Morell.
"I might know where Chronos is currently.."
She pointed forth, beginning to run as Reece quickly caught up beside her, the two making way to the city hall, a crowd being seen.
The two stopped behind the crowd, Chronos up behind a podium with a megaphone in hand. The monster from the castle seemingly being her right hand man, as a few others stayed near her as well.
Chronos began a small speech, though Morell raised an eyebrow, before tilting both upstelly. Chronos' speech felt familiar, too similar to another, because it was identical to Morell's, only switching up what their threat was.
Morell clenched her fists. Chronos wasn't an improvement, but a cheap copy. Morell was thinking maliciously, if only she had killed her in the fight before.
The crowd cheered, though Reece and Morell stayed angered, Chronos walking down from the podium and through the crowd, who all made a path out for her. The monster walked behjnd her, as a man stood beside her, acting as a bodyguard.
Chronos walked pridefully past the crowd as they cheered. She appears to have spotted Morell, giving her a cocky grin as she walked by, Morell returning it with a malicious grin.
She was about to raise her fist, though Reece held her back, patting her on the shoulder as she whispered in her ear.
"You can't just attack her or this whole crowd will riot.. Let's just follow them until there's less of an audience."
Morell controlled her rage, her fist unclenching as she nodded, signalling Reece to follow her as they ran behind the crowd, hopping a fence into an alleyway, traveling through them.
The two followed Chronos and her goons far off, as they eventually entered a bar, Morell and Reece following them in, though keeping a low profile.
The bar was packed, which was pretty rare, most places abandoned. People were laughing and so, chugging back many different drinks, and overall having a good time.
Chronos and her crew were sitting in the corner at the back, looking important but menacing, like a cliche mafia gang from a movie.
Chronos had her feet planted up on the table, a bottle of whiskey in hand and a pipe in her mouth, blowing out skoke. Morell and Reece sat at the front counter, peaking over to Chronos, though interrupted by a sudden snap.
"Oi, oi. You two just going to sit therr and spy or will you order a drink..?"
The waitress looked at the two, snapping her fingers to gain their attention, flipping a cocktail shaker into the air as she awaited their response, giving an odd presence of power.
Reece nodded, ordering a bottle of whiskey as Morell just sat there awkwardly before speaking up, the waitress quickly getting the bottle, tossing it to Reece as she caught it.
"Ah.. we weren't spying..! I'm.. Morell…"
The waitress nodded, wiping down the counter, stretching afterwards.
"I'm Trini-"
A suddenly interruption came, Reece standing ontop of her stool as she threw her bottle towards Chronos, the bottle shattering though she remained unphased, glaring back at them.
"Hmph…"
