The monster grunted in pain and flinched, but Aaron put it out of its misery when he stomped on the knife and on the face of the creature, making the blade pierce deeper until it caused mortal damage.

A blue orb flew toward Aaron from the corpse of the monster and entered his body… he could feel a new source of energy inside him, one that felt natural, more natural than most things.
"I see, so this is mana… humans aren't supposed to have this… but then I have on my parameters already," Aaron rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Was that something that I unlocked when the aspects balanced my power? They said that they would do that…"
Although he never killed something like that before, Aaron didn't feel much bothered by it. He knew that it wasn't right, but he knew that it was necessary. Humans take the lives of animals to live; they could try to live in other ways, but it wouldn't be exactly healthy. Besides, if that world was on the path of destruction, he had more reasons to prepare himself for that. He was a scientist, but it would be hard to convince those involved in the matter to stop with that since they didn't know him. Talking wasn't his forte either, just like being patient.
"I have more than enough reasons to keep going," Aaron said and then pulled the knife from the head of the monster and then cleaned it on the grass. "If this is a crime, I will pay for this with some crazy karma or in the afterlife, or the people in this world will kill me for it."
The monsters were kind of slow with their approach, so Aaron had the chance to choose the next one, attack it in the same manner, and kill it. Still, he was unable to recover his knife before others could reach him.

When the next enemy approached and jumped to stab him in the stomach, Aaron moved to the side and quickly moved to the back of the creature and grappled its stomach and neck. While he was strangling the monster, Aaron used it as a shield to block the advance of the others.
"They aren't very bright," Aaron thought when he saw the monsters hitting their ally.

That was only natural that it would happen… At the same time, Aaron used the body and the horn of the beast to stab another monster in the head with it and kill it… their horns were surprisingly tough and sharp. Aaron made a mental note to avoid them at all costs.
Using the same tactics again and again, Aaron killed around fifteen of those creatures. He had the chance to level up, and that had been his first goal, after all, to check things.

Aaron opened his status screen and looked at it. If he could, he would increase his IQ and intelligence to over nine thousand. That way, he would be able to solve the problem on Earth before trying to become one of the guardians of the galaxy, but that wasn't possible.
Before allocating the points, Aaron tried to remove the horns of the monsters with his strength and knife, but that didn't work. Things changed when he used all the free points into strength. He heard a crack at the base of the horns, and that solved the problem.

The horns were a bit thick in the base, but they were pretty durable… they smelled bad, though. Thanks to the blood and sweat of the creatures. Aaron was determined to endure that since he would need to use something as weapons, and perhaps he could sell them as well.
"Sell to whom? Aliens? I guess I am an alien here…" Aaron thought and wondered what the people of that world would look like.
Aaron looked around again and found a river ahead and a dense forest… It seemed like a good way to find more monsters, but then he would move away from chances to find signs of civilization.
In the end, Aaron decided to make things as efficient as possible. He will need the strength to back up his actions and goals, so he decided to cross the river and hunt for a while in the forest. He recalled the days that he wasted in his teen years when he spent weekends grinding in RPGs… although they were wasteful, he didn't regret them… only because he had a ton of fun and because, thanks to his trait, he was in a good point of his life.
When Aaron reached the river, he found some crystal clear waters and decided to drink a little… he wondered if he would be fine drinking water from another world, but if he was breathing without a problem, he probably would be fine with the water since it would have the same composition. On the planets that had the same type of atmosphere, it was to be expected that the same conditions to sustain life would be the same.
