Alec stood by the side of his father, Deacon Ammon Guilford.
"You can see that demon?" Ammon asked to be sure he didn't misunderstand what Alec told him.
Alec nodded and gave him a rough description of the demon. Ammon felt a wave of headache when he heard this. It was okay if Alec can not see demons, but if he could, then he would have to involve himself in the dangerous life of hunting demons.
"Timothy, keep him safe." Ammon brought out a gun made from a strange item.
Alec was certain it wasn't made from the regular material used in making guns. While he was still thinking about the gun, Ammon shot at the demon, Alec couldn't help but yelp slightly in shock.
As if understanding the reason for Alec's reaction, Timothy explained, "It's not going to do any harm to the driver. Only the demon will be hurt by it."
An understanding look appeared on Alec's face, he was a very smart boy. Although he was usually hot-tempered, he was one who didn't act rashly, not even when fueled by his temper. Only on a few occasions does he forget about the consequences of things and act.
Alec watched as the bullet from the gun hit the demon and it caused a small explosion.
The demon screeched in pain, making them cover their ears from the irritating sound of the demon's scream. The sound was similar to when one was dragging their fingers down a board, piercing and unpleasing to hear.
The other priest brought out a cane that changed into a large spear, he threw it at the demon with tentacles that caused the accident. The tip of the spear was made from the same material as the gun. On the other end of the spear, there was a long chain connected to it, from the body of the priest.
The spear pierced into the creature, and just as the priest was about to pull his spear back, the tentacles of the creature wrapped around it, not giving the priest a chance to drag it back.
Ammon drew closer to the possessed driver and released another shot of his gun. One of the heads of the driver opened its mouth and a black beam shot at the bullet, colliding with it and making sure it didn't touch it.
The creature touched the ground and algae started to sprout from the ground, moving quickly towards where the priest was standing. When the priest saw this, he hurriedly let go of the spear and retreated into the ruin, while also reciting something.
Deacon Ammon looked at the algae that was starting to move up his leg and with a swift movement, he brought out a small can and sprayed water on his leg. The algae stopped growing on his leg, retreating with speed.
The demon used the opportunity to draw closer to Deacon Ammon. Seeing the demon wanting to come close to him, Ammon knew that would not be a good thing for him. Demons were physically stronger than humans, and even though there were a few exorcists who had developed powerful abilities that defies human logic, those were the top exorcists, Deacon Ammon was not part of that group.
His gun suddenly turned bigger with multiple muzzles appearing on it, he unleashed rounds upon rounds on the fast-approaching demon.
The demon paused when it saw how the bullets were charging at it. After trying to block, but only getting hurt by it. It turned around, its aim was obvious, escape. Holes appeared on the body of the demon after being hit by the bullets and just as it was about to escape, a bullet drilled inot its leg, making it fall down face first.
On the other side, the priest had managed to regain his spear after creating a ruin that appeared mid-air and using it to attack the demon.
The octopus-like demon had lost almost half of its tentacles, and the priest was not done.
"Timothy, now!" He called out.
"Don't leave this circle." Timothy warned Alec before charging out.
Timothy drew up his sleeves and a tattoo appeared, the symbol of the tattoo was something Alec was very familiar with, it was what was on the walls of the Cathedral. A hexagram with a small square in the middle.
Alec's eyes almost bulged out when he saw a large two-headed dog come out from the tattoo, on each head of the dog was a cross. The heads howled simultaneously before charging at the octopus-like demon. The second it got there, both heads bite down on a tentacle each and it started to rip them off the demon.
The other priest sent his spear through the head of the demon, and just like it never appeared, after the spear pierced through its head, a hole around three meters wide opened and swallowed it.
Alec's head almost exploded from the things he was seeing. If he were told something like this was possible, he would never believe it. What made it worse was that the people doing these things were people he had lived with all his life.
With the death of the octopus-like demon, only the one that possessed the bus driver was left. Deacon Ammon was presently standing over it, staring at all eight heads that sprouted from multiple places in its body.
He pointed the gun at its head, and just as he was about to pull the trigger, he heard it say, "They will come for him, you too are aware of this."
"As long as I'm here, no harm will before my son." With that statement, he pulled the trigger, ending the demon.
The previous scene didn't happen due to the difference in the situations. One possessed a human, while the other was still in its normal form.
