"Deacon, we should get going." Timothy walked over to them, seeing the father and son in a deep embrace.
Although he was a bit surprised Alec could see demons, he didn't think about it too much. The reason for this was simple, both his parents were exorcists and even his mother was a stronger exorcist compared to his father.
It is rumored that his mother entered the Underworld during the time she was pregnant with Alec, but of course, it's just a rumor. After the incident of Alec's birth and his personality from a child, a lot of people who never believed these things started to believe it and even said Alec was possessed by the devil itself.
Even though Timothy didn't believe those bullsh*ts, he still believed Alec would definitely get into the world of exorcism, it was in his blood.
Deacon Ammon had been trying his best to make sure Alec didn't get involved in anything concerning demons, but apparently, there's nothing he can do to change destiny.
"Deacon, what about my bus?" The driver walked over to ask.
"Don't worry about it, we'll get people to come carry it." Deacon Ammon turned to the driver.
"Timothy, I believe the others are still on the way. Go ahead with him and see if you can take a few of the kids with you." He turned to Timothy.
Timothy nodded and looked at Alec.
"Don't worry, he'll stay with me."
Deacon Ammon placed his hand on the shoulder of his son. The other priest walked over.
"Deacon, I'm getting an ominous feeling from this place." He whispered to Deacon Ammon.
"Me too. Let them go first." Deacon Ammon said and looked at his son.
'He's probably the reason they're attacking them.' He thought internally.
He felt a bit of headache as he looked at his son, and then at the other priest who was oblivious to what was happening.
'He has never left the Town, why didn't they attack him then?' His head started to spin fast as he tried to figure out the reason the demons decided to attack Alec now. They've left them in peace for sixteen years, so why attack now?
"Wait!" He stopped Timothy who was about to drive away.
Timothy looked at him, confused.
"Go with them, we'll take the car." He said to the other priest, grabbed Alec's hand and walked to the car.
Alec looked at his father, finding his attitude odd. His father was one who rarely acts in such a manner, unless something was wrong.
Timothy and the other priest quickly deduced that something was wrong. And without complaining, they left with the driver.
Alec looked at his father who was currently holding the ignition of the car, prepared to start it.
The atmosphere was so tense that Alec, who was usually curious, was unable to ask any questions. He could see beads of sweat on his father's head.
About a minute later, just as he was about to ask what was wrong, he felt his heart skip a beat. His father ignited the car and they sped off, not in the direction of the Town, but they headed to the City close to them.
There was a large Cathedral there and his father had visited that place a few times in the past, although he had never left the Town, he had heard all about it.
"What's happening?" He asked, worried.
"They are coming." Ammon replied.
"Who?"
"Them."
Alec turned, only to see a large Ape-like beast chasing after them. The speed of the beast was shocking. Although his father's car was not the fastest, it was currently going at over one hundred and eighty kilometers per hour, yet, the beast was still able to chase after them.
"Why is it chasing us?" Alec asked, a little apprehensive.
For some reason, he could feel this demon is stronger than the previous one.
"Don't worry about that, just focus." Ammon replied, "You see this…"
He started to teach Alec the basis of driving a car. They were the only ones in the car, he didn't want to endanger any other person, so he didn't take any of the priests with him. Besides, it was better if they were with the others. They should be able to fight against any demon that approaches them.
Ammon didn't think they would encounter any attacks since Alec wasn't with them, but there was nothing wrong with being too cautious.
Alec listened attentively to his father, not expecting he would be learning how to drive in this manner. He had never tried to drive before, but after listening to his father, he got some knowledge and felt he would be able to drive.
"This is very serious, our life depends fully on if you can drive or not." Ammon said to Alec.
Alec nodded and they started to switch places.
Being a smart person, Alec knew just what to do, and when he entered, he followed his father's words and was able to get the first part right.
"Good, good. Now, take the wheel, don't take your eyes from the road, that's all you should think about." Ammon said.
Alec gulped and held the steering wheel, the road was not smooth and he didn't have a firm grip on the wheel, he almost lost control of the car, but he tightened his grip and repositioned the car.
Ammon didn't even bother with him, for some reason, he had a hundred percent confidence in his son and went to the back of the car. He opened the seat and a weapon rack appeared.
He picked a machine gun, opened the sunroof, brought out his head and aimed at the demon that was chasing after them.
Alec turned his head to take a look and while looking forward, he realized he had almost gone off road.
His heart tightened, but his grip on the wheel was tighter as he put them back on track.
Ammon, who had half his body hanging from the sunroof, moved from side to side. He couldn't help but say, "Keep it steady!"
