Lilia POV
After sending the demon duke flying away from the village, I gave chase to him immediately with my heavy sword in my right hand.
The demon Duke Aldinach managed to stop himself from flying further with his overwhelming mana, but I was already in front of him before he could get himself straight.
I brought down my sword at him, and he hurriedly brought up his axe to block my sword.
As our weapons clashed, a massive shockwave that shook the entire sky of the area was generated. The lands began to break, the trees got destroyed, and the impact spread out through the entire area without stopping.
I was suppressing my powers to match those of an A-rank adventurer because I wanted to first observe how demons fight before I crush him. Which is why we are able to clash our weapons together.
3rd POV
Lilia and Aldinach were clashing their weapons together. One looked like he was using all his might, and the other looked indifferent as if she wasn't even trying.
They soon began to exchange blows with their weapons clashing at each other at a ridiculous speed that not even the fastest B-rank in the master realm can hope to match.
At that point, huge tornadoes began to generate around the area, and everything began to get destroyed. The mana of both of them covered a huge distance that even those in the royal city of Eclipsora Kingdom could sense it clearly. Heaven and earth of the area were being destroyed, and lightning was zapping everywhere in the area. This was the result of a clash between a supposed A-rank human and a demon Duke when they hold nothing back. It was no exaggeration when it was said that people in A-rank are capable of destroying a country with their powers.
Even with all this chaos, two people who were in the middle of it all were still fighting with each other. One was a buff demon with two horns and wings, and the other was a girl who looks like she is thirteen, wearing a black Gothic Lolita outfit with twin tail silver white hair.
The Demon Duke Aldinach looked miserable with so many wounds filling his body. The loli girl Lilia, on the other hand, looked quite alright with not a single scratch being found on her delicate body. This already shows the difference in power between the two of them.
Somewhere in Mufti city
In a luxurious mansion that was inside the city, someone opened a door and walked outside while looking up in shock. The person was dressed in a fancy noble outfit for men, and he looked to be in his late 40s. He was the leader of the Mufti city and a count of the Kingdom of Eclipsora. His name was Alexander Von Effrit.
Alexander was looking up at the sky in shock. The reason is that the sky has turned dark, and a terrifying shockwave was shaking everything in the city. Even though he has no aptitude for fighting or any mana control, he could still feel two abundances of mana from a very far distance due to how massive the mana is.
It was obvious to him that the owner of the two mana he was feeling was fighting due to how chaotic the very air feels. He had only ever witnessed this phenomenon a long time ago when two A-ranks clashed with each other during the kingdoms competition. This means that someone in the realm of A-rank was fighting someone who was as strong as an A-rank.
The problem was that the guild in his city has no A-rank adventurer, and people in A-rank don't usually come to this city due to how far it is from the capital. There was a rumor of an A-rank adventurer recently joining the guild, but it couldn't be that person who was fighting at this moment, right?
At that moment, the door of the mansion opened, and a maid escorted a man to the place Alexander was standing.
The man bowed to Alexander.
"It is good to see you again, Count Alexander. How may I help you?"
Alexander nodded his head.
"Thank you for coming, Guild Master Fredrick. What do you make of all this chaos that is happening in this city?"
Fredrick put his hand on his chin as he looked up.
"Honestly speaking, this is a clash between two A-rank powerhouse or an A-rank master with a demon Duke. The level of power is something no one in the city can ever emulate. The direction it is coming from is from the small village in the north. The new A-rank adventurer took an elimination request and went to that village. I didn't think that an opponent as strong as an A-rank will be there though."
Alexander nodded and looked up as well.
"I thought I was wrong, but it turns out I was right. I would like to meet this adventurer when they return."
"I will arrange a meeting after she returns then," Fredrick said.
The power of Lilia and the demon Duke was being felt from all the way to the Mufti city which was a four days journey away to the small village. This was going to attract various attentions in the city.
Back to the fight
Aldinach let out a groan as Lilia punched him in the stomach. He tried to raise his axe to smash it at her, but the hand of Lilia that was still at his stomach released a bright light which sent Aldinach flying back with force.
Lilia not giving him time chased after him with her heavy sword in hand.
Aldinach who was sent flying back was in so much pain due to the wounds on his stomach. He ignored it and forced his body to stop in the air. He raised his axe with one hand and a huge lightning gathered on it. He looked and saw Lilia quickly flying to his location with her sword at the ready.
"Die, you little monster. Lightning of judgment."
Testament to the axe being one of the world's strongest sacred treasures in existence. Its ability to gather lightning and descend it on the target is why it is called δικαστική λάβρυες (Judgment Axe).
The lightning gathered by the axe is powerful enough to wipe out many cities and countless mountains in a single strike.
And it is with this same axe and powerful lightning that Aldinach fired at Lilia without hesitation. Not only that, he even generated two tornadoes of flames with his left hand and shot them alongside the lightning.
The lightning and two tornadoes of flames combined together to form a massive devastating attack. The force of this new combined attack made it clear that it was powerful enough to destroy double of the entire country.
Yet in the face of this terrifying attack, Lilia held her sword and flew right inside the attack without an ounce of fear.
BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!
The moment she made contact with the attack, it exploded with great force.
The explosion was so strong that all the land in the area was vaporized, and the force was felt from all over the kingdom. The reason the kingdom was not destroyed by this explosion was that the fight was happening in the air, and most of the force of the explosion was directed into space. Even so, it still shook the entire Kingdom.
Aldinach created a powerful barrier to protect himself from the explosion. Even though he was the one who generated that attack, he was not confident enough to believe that he can survive that attack, which is why he created the barrier. Even with his barrier, he still felt the heat of the attack. He was very shocked that Lilia flew into the attack, but he was glad because no human being besides those S-rank monsters can survive that attack.
'I originally snuck into the human realm because I wanted to make a name for myself in the demon realm. If I managed to destroy a city of the human realm, then I will be recommended to become one of the captains of the demon lords army. My goal was only to destroy the weak city of this area with the help of my subordinates.'
Thinking this, Aldinach looked at the explosion still occurring from his attack in wonder.
'Just who was that monster of a human. I have never seen anyone that powerful. I was not her opponent at all. Her realm must be in the Upper Realm of A-rank which is higher than my realm by two. I carefully researched this kingdom and found out that only one A-rank powerhouse could be found in this kingdom, but that person was in the Royal city. Who would have thought that another one was here all along.'
Aldinach checked his wounds and sighed.
'She was a monster, that human named Lilia. She deflected all my attacks with little effort, and her attacks were so heavy that my arms were always numb when we clash our weapon. I couldn't even lay a hand on her the entire time, and I am already covered in wounds. If not because she overestimated herself, I would have been the one to die here because that attack has drained my reserve which will take me some time to replenish. I need to hide somewhere to replenish my energy and heal my wounds before continuing my plans.'
Just as Aldinach made up his mind on what to do, he felt a terrifying mana burst out from the sport that the explosion took place. He hurriedly looked and saw a scene that should not have been possible.
The human named Lilia, who was supposed to have died from that explosion, flew out from it and was still heading to his direction with her sword in hand. Her clothes were burnt, and she was in her cute bunny underwear. Aside from her clothes, not a single injury could be seen on her, and her skin was still glittering white and spotless.
Aldinach was very shocked from seeing Lilia survive that he didn't have time to guard himself from her. Lilia flew to where Aldinach was at neck-breaking speed and slashed her heavy sword at the still confused Aldinach.
Aldinach was able to recover at the last second and pushed his body with all his might to dodge Lilia's slash. He managed to avoid getting killed, but his arm which held his axe was severed from his shoulder. Aldinach flew back to keep a certain distance from Lilia while using his left hand to try and stop the bleeding.
Lilia looked at the retreating Aldinach with a calm look.
"I was honestly expecting much more from you, but I guess you are pretty weak."
Aldinach glared at her with hatred, but he wanted to know.
"How did you survive that attack? No A-rank in the Upper Realm is powerful enough to survive that attack head-on like you did without any form of defense."
Aldinach thought that maybe Lilia was hiding some kind of life-saving treasure which she used when that attack hit her. That was his thought, but Lilia's response shattered his belief and common sense.
"That attack, huh! It was just so-so. An attack of that level is not even worth mentioning before me."
'Attack that is powerful enough to destroy two countries is just so-so to her. By the demon lord, what a monster! Is she actually one of those S-rank monster in disguise? But we demons have never heard of her before. Which can only mean that she is newly promoted. This is bad! This means the humans now have an edge over the demons and are capable of declaring war on us. Our only savior is that the demon king is still around, which means the human can never win. Nevertheless, I must bring back this news no matter the cost.'
Aldinach began to make plans in his head on how to escape, but his hopes were shattered by Lilia's next move.
Lilia raised her hand, and the sounds of the entire area stopped. It was as if the space in the area was locked, and all those inside the locked space were unable to get away.
Aldinach looked around in despair due to being locked inside this space.
"Let us finish this, Demon Duke Aldinach. My fight with you was an eye-opener on how vast my power truly is. As thanks, I will finish you with one of my flashiest move."
Lilia raised her left hand in the air, and countless spatial portals began to open within the locked space. From within those portals, countless swords began to slowly come out from them.
Aldinach felt the overwhelming power each sword possesses and was shocked stupid.
"Are all those swords sacred treasures!?"
"Pretty much. I call this move Sword Rain. Now die for me, demon duke Aldinach."
On her command, all the swords flew out at the speed of sound and began to head towards Aldinach. Aldinach, who has almost zero mana with his strength also weakened and his body covered in wounds, had no way of defending himself against this attack. Even if he was at full power, it was impossible to defend against this move unless a world-level barrier is deployed which would require the power of an S rank to form.
So a demon Duke like Aldinach has no way of defending against an attack from countless sacred treasures. In the blink of an eye, his body was pierced and burned to dust.
Lilia, seeing that Aldinach was no more, turned and surveyed the environment. She sweat dropped after seeing that the area beyond the eye can see was turned into a scorching wasteland due to her fight with Aldinach.
Even so, she was happy to see that not even a demon Duke could do anything to her. It wasn't surprising due to her powers being off the charts, but she did learn what it was like to battle an opponent that could reason and think like she does.
So far, all the strong creatures that Lilia has killed were all mindless monsters that only attacked with their instinct. So fighting someone like Aldinach who can reason and plan like she does was indeed a good experience for her.
The only thing was that she felt her powers rising during her fight with Aldinach. Her powers have always been rising, but it wasn't noticeable before except now. When her emotion was high and her heart was racing during the fight, she felt her bottomless power increasing at an unimaginable speed. She was afraid to check her level again after this fight.
"I guess I will worry about this later. For now, let's return to the village and see how Dora is doing."
Lilia flew back to the direction of the village leaving behind the wasteland which was the effect of her battle with Aldinach.
