ADRIEN MORGAN
I was in the middle of preparations for Jules' surprise birthday party when I received a text from him earlier on this evening. Good thing I had decided to stay within the city for the rest of December.
Immediately after replying back,I was out of the hotel on my way to go to him. I wonder which mood he's in today. His text didn't say too much and when I tried calling he wasn't answering,that bit got me a little worried.
Forty-eight minutes later,I was parked in his head office's parking lot and Immediately rushed out of the car,taking the private elevator to the last floor.
I found an aged,beautiful brown skinned woman,probably his secretary seated in the cabin right outside what might be Julian's office,sorting out a fee documents.
I approached her slowly,while regulating my breathing.
"Excuse me Miss." I called for her attention. She looked up at me for a few seconds before she smiled at me,displaying her white teeth.
"Yes please. I'm Alya,Mr Olivarez' personal assistant. Nice to meet you Mr....." The brown skin lady stood up from her seat and politely introduced herself. I realized after a few seconds that she wanted me to introduce myself as well.
"Oh! Mr Morgan. Adrien Morgan is my name. Nice to meet you too Ms Alya." I greeted her back and we shared a handshake.
"So what brings you here Mr Morgan? Did you book an appointment with Mr Olivarez?" She asked,maintaining eye contact .
"No,I'm not here for business. Julian sent me a text to come drive him home. So I'm here for him." I informed her.
She looked like she had several more questions to ask but she reserved them to herself. I bet she doesn't know about me or she's kind of sceptical or something.
I just shrugged it off,because whatever it is,I don't really care.
"Right,I will go inform him. Please be seated." She politely offered but I declined.
"I don't mind going in there for him,it's alright. You don't need to worry."
"Okay,he's in the lobby area of his office. This way." She kindly showed me to the direction where to find Julian,even though it was absolutely unnecessary.
"Will you please excuse us?" I asked her,when I saw that she had no plans of giving us some privacy.
"Alright,I'll be outside if you need anything." She left and shut the door behind her.
I continued to the direction where Julian's scent was strongest in the whole office area.
He was laying down on a sofa,covered in a fleece blanket,looking so adorable.
When he turned around in his sleep,facing me,that's when I noticed his red face and hyperventilation. The smile on my face fell.
"Was he crying? What made him cry,he was okay when I last talked to him in the morning" I said to myself.
I'll find whoever did this to my precious jewel and make them pay the price of his tears. I'll make them regret ever making him shed even a single tear.
I clenched my fists,so hard,my finger nails pricked the skin of my palm.
Slowly,and carefully,I approached the sofa and squatted down to wake my beautiful angel up.
"Hey,wake up beautiful." I called him but he only mumbled and covered his pretty face. This aroused a chuckle from me.
I started caressing his head full of black curly hair,careful not to shock him out of his nap.
"sveglio il mio bellissimo angelo" I whispered in his ear.
He slowly uncovered his beautiful face,opening his eyes equally slowly. His Cobalt blue eyes lit up with joy when he saw that it was I who had woken him up.
He blessed me with a sweet smile and then started raising up.
"Quando sei arrivato qui?" His voice was low and coarse.
"Proprio adesso,Bello" I answered,mirroring his smiling face.
"Come ti senti? Hai bisogno di un po' d'acqua?" I asked and he nodded his head.
I poured him a glass of cold water and gave it to him. After swallowing a few sips,he put the glass down on the stool next to him.
Julian patted the seat next to him,it was my indication to join him in the sofa.
I sat down next to him and he lay down on my lap so I continued caressing his hair. He closed his eyes,probably contemplating on whether to tell me or not to.
He finally let out a sigh and opened his eyes,finding mine already waiting.
"My ex fiancee stopped by earlier. She said some devastating,heart wrenching things. I think I felt my soul shattering." He paused.
"She even threatened me to unfreeze the bank accounts I had created for her. After the separation,I had them frozen and contacted my lawyers to work on her eviction from the house we shared. So maybe she found about it,now she has resorted to blackmail." He explained in one breath.
"Do you want to press charges? We could file for a restraining order." I suggested. If she failed to stop meddling in Julian's business,then I would deal with her myself.
"I'll think about it. In the mean time I want to go for a drive. No destination in mind,just driving away on the high way." I respected his decision and let it go for now.
"Okay,it's your call. So how are you feeling right now?"
"I'm feeling better and more composed than I was earlier on. I'm fine."
"If you say so." I dropped that topic,I don't want to trigger him. I trust Julian to tell me if something is wrong.
We have better things to do at the moment,first is taking Jules on a ride out of the capital.
"Get up,let's go." I told him after thinking of the perfect place to take him.
"Where?"
"I know a place,it will help you unwind a little." I suggested.
"Okay,let's go." Julian replied while standing up from his previous position,leaving my thighs feeling empty and cold.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" I asked,because he was already by his office table,packing up.
"No,I'm already packing everything I'll need for the winter break,so nothing." Oh my God! He was so clueless sometimes.
"Not that,you've not yet received some kisses from me today." I opened my arms,a gesture to invite him.
Realization flashed in his beautiful eyes and he slowly made his way towards me,falling into my arms for a hug.
He looked up from my chest and I kissed his forehead first,then his cute,little nose. As I was about to go for the lips,the door opened.
We immediately separated and Julian returned to his previous task,while I faced the door.
This felt like we're teenagers in forbidden love.
"I was checking on you,I'm leaving Julian. You should also get going it's late." Alya said and walked away.
We both sighed at the same time and looked at each other.
"We should get going." Julian whispered and led the way,while I followed behind him.
