Chapter 34 - Get-away Paradise

Dedicated to Peekaboo_3

JULIAN OLIVAREZ

I doubt I'll ever become bored of admiring Adrien's features, especially the side profile.

He is the epitome of beauty,in all ways ever known to man.

Currently,we're on our way to that place he mentioned that he had in mind. He had taken over the wheel, claiming that if I drove,it'd ruin his surprise. That's why I'm now in the passenger seat, paying no mind to the view outside but the beauty that is Adrien.

I have never come across someone as beautiful as he is. He has the most beautiful facial features, thick eyebrows, healthy lashes, beautiful nose and his lips, those lips,oh God. His lips always make me feel weak in the knees just by looking at them. Then there's his full, groomed beard,Oh God

The rest of his physique is a heart stopper.

Whenever he turns the gear lever or steering wheel, his biceps flex under the tight white shirt with folded sleeves which he was wearing today.

I don't know if it's just me, but there sure is something about men driving cars, their charisma is really enticing. And being in the passenger seat, having this view is one thing to be grateful for today.

I noticed that Adrien had branched off the highway and taken an alternative marram road, which led to the outskirts of the city.

The late rays of the sunset showered his tan skin golden,it's like he was gently glowing, like the sun was praising his skin tone. Leaving me wondering how much some people are favoured by the creator.

"Are you a demon, Adrien?" I mumbled under my breath. It was more of Marvel than a question asked out of curiosity.

"Why? Am I that breathtaking?" He teased, keeping his eyes on the road. Even the way he smirked was graceful.

"You're so full of yourself. I know you know that you're beautiful but that's not it. I think your beauty is beyond average humans." I spoke my mind, giving him my opinion.

"And that makes me a demon!? Do you think they're beautiful?" He scratched his well-groomed beard, honouring me with a glance before he returned his attention to the road. Taking with him his beautiful heterochromic eyes.

"I think they're beautiful,tempting even. But I didn't mean to call you a demon."

"You're really quite eccentric. Most humans think demons are ugly and scary, but you find them charming." He chuckled.

"I guess it's because I've always seen the world differently from others. But honestly, if you told me you were a demon or god, I'd believe it right away.

"I'm honoured, but I'm human, as you can see."

"Hmm,okay!" I dropped that topic and glanced outside for a second to take in my surroundings.

"We're almost there, baby. Almost." He told me, and I just nodded, observing the green clearing ahead of us.

True to his word,he parked the car in the glade a few meters from the forest. This part of the country wasn't covered in snow like the capital. It was beautiful and looked like it was in late spring.

"Stay there." He told me and jumped out of the jeep, went to the trunk, and took out some camper bags. He disappeared in the middle of the woods for a while, probably unpacking his camper utilities.

He returned after about five minutes and opened the door for me,offering me his hand, which I took with delight and stepped out of the car.

His sexy oceanic scent mixed with the cool breeze of mid-December worked as a remedy for the tension that was left in my shoulders, making me relax.

Adrien led the way, and I followed in silence, following a trail amidst the now dark forest, lit up by the faint yellow light from street lamps that stood at a distance.

We approached another clearing, and it was covered in more grass and flowers. It was facing an array of mountains, which were outstanding from where Adrien had laid a picnic mat.

"This is it." He presented to me his mini paradise. It looked quite unique and peaceful,it was a perfect spot for star gazing.

There were also fire flies flying around, making the place look like it came out of a fantasy novel.

"I love it. It's so beautiful." I replied, turning around and pulled him down for a seering kiss, pouring my love, appreciation, and gratitude in it. I was hoping it could cover up for the words that I couldn't gather up to show these emotions.

"You know what's even more beautiful?" I asked him after retracting from the kiss and looking him in the eyes.

He shook his head,no.

"You. You, my boyfriend, are the most beautiful." I whispered.

"And you, my man, are even more beautiful. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. You are exceptionally talented, gorgeous, and hardworking. I love you, Julian." Adrien whispered back, making tears fill up my eyes.

I don't know how he does it, but he has a way with words, his words comfort me.

I hugged him tight, taking in his masculine sandalwood and ocean scent, letting it work its magic.

"There's more to see, except if you've had enough. We can go back now." Adrien teased, making me wiggle away from his strong arms and run to the mat that was laid out.

Adrien joined me, and we started making pour over black coffee while talking about this and that. I found myself laying in Adrien's chest, covered in blankets while his head lay on several pillows.

"How did you discover this little paradise?" I mused, trying to dig for info on how he spent his earlier years.

"I kinda got lost while on a drive to clear my mind and found myself here. It was a quiet place, peaceful and silent. So I fell in love with it and promised to introduce the person I'd fall for to my tiny get-away paradise."

He explained while sharing the look I was sure I had in my eyes, love. We were both love struck.

"Thank you, Adrien."

"Don't mention it."

"I could live like this for the rest of my life." I spoke up after hours of cuddles.

"I could too,but we should return home before you catch malaria. I don't want you to be sick on your birthday."

I shot up from my position and looked at Adrien, shocked that he bothered to recall my birthday. I may have stopped celebrating it recently, but it's still relevant to me somehow.

"What's the problem?" He asked, quite concerned.

"You... you remembered?" My voice broke. I can't believe it that someone I met not so long ago recalls my birthday while those who have been in my life for so long always forgot it until I told them.

"You recall my birthday." I hugged him tight, letting the tears that were threatening to fall out.

He patted my back gently while whispering sweet, calming words. I sobbed.

It's an unusual feeling, after all. I had given up on the day I was born because I felt unloved, unworthy, and empty. But now, with someone bothering with recalling such simple details about me makes me feel full, worthy, and loved.

I need nothing else but to feel and be loved.

"Thank you, Adrien." I whispered, amidst hiccups.

"I promise to love you like you deserve to be loved. I'll cherish and pamper you with all my being, and I will protect you by all means, Jules. I love you."

"I love you too, Adrien. I love you. Thanks."

Adrien kept on holding me tightly against his broad chest,I don't know for how long as I found myself in a deep slumber.

My mind, body, and soul were contented, feeling that this is where I belong.

This is home.

I woke up to Adrien taking me to the car while carrying me in his strong arms. I felt a bit embarrassed but didn't let it show,we were alone after all.

I let myself enjoy the experience for the remaining distance till he sat me down in my seat and buckled me up.

"You can go back to sleep,I'll wake you up when we get to your condo." Adrien covered me in a fleece blanket and turned on the heater for me since it was still snowing in the capital.

"Alright." I shut my eyes and slept in seconds.

Lately,I've been sleeping well. Let's say ever since I met Adrien.
