"Killing those vampire ants. Did you know what you did would jeopardize my mission?"
Lee Han was speechless.
How could he know that?
"I'm sorry if I disturbed your mission, but I had no idea what your mission was. I ended up there because I had something else to do," he explained.
"Why did you suddenly appear in this restricted area?" The woman asked again.
"Restrict area?" Lee Han feels even more confused. He came here because of the quest he received in his system this morning. He would not have come to this place if not for the mission given by the system.
"No human can enter this place without permission. Who are you?" Her suspicions grew as she knew this man had sophisticated weapons.
Lee Han had no choice but to make a random excuse. He said, "Someone sent me here!"
"Who?"
How could he inform her that he has a system in his mind, and that system gives him a quest?
He recalls Lara's words: only the chosen ones possess a system like him. He couldn't reveal that to her, or he would be in danger.
'Lara, please answer me. Who is this woman?' Lee Han asked. He needed Lara now, but she seemed to have vanished again from his mind.
The woman speaks again, "I will give you ten seconds to answer, or I will assume you are a spy, and my bullet will end up in your temple. "Speak!" She ordered in her icy tone.
Lee Han, "..."
He knew only Seraphina and Lara in this Kingdom and couldn't tell her about Lara; his only option was Seraphina.
"Princess Seraphina."
The woman was surprised when she heard that. If this man knew Seraphina, then he wasn't their enemy. But how could an ordinary man like this man know about their Princess?
Another question came to mind, "Why did Princess Seraphina send you here?"
Seeing how stubborn and suspicious this woman was towards him, Lee Han had no choice but to tell her about his mission.
"I'm an Adventurer, and Princess Seraphina sent me here for a rescue mission. But I'm not sure whether you are the person I must rescue. My map only guides me to—" He paused to check his maps in his line of sight. He was shocked to know this was the exact location. "—this place."
The woman was perplexed upon hearing Lee Han's words. An Adventurer can't have a weak appearance. This man's face was pale, and likely had never done physical training.
She couldn't help but ask, "Rescue? Why did Princess Seraphina send someone like you to rescue us!? We are all doing well here." She glanced at Tristan from head to toe, unable to believe that Seraphina had sent one person to help them, and this man seemed so weak.
Even though he feels hurt by her sarcastic words, Lee Han agrees with her. This group of soldiers looks stronger than him; they don't need his help.
'Did I read wrong quest?' Lee Han rechecks his quest and reads it carefully.
[Rescue the Adventurer who is trapped on the mountain.]
'Lara, I didn't make any mistakes, right?'
'You are not. This is the exact location,' Finally, Lara responds.
'It seems I came too early to this place. They are not in danger now.'
'Yes. Maybe—'
Lee Han silently took a deep breath. Even though Lara had already confirmed his target was in this place, he still doubted it because this woman didn't seem weak.
This puzzled him.
'Master, this woman is not a bad person. You don't have to worry—'
'Who is she? Do you know her?' he asked, curious about the woman. She seemed like the leader in this place.
'Her name is Zoey Reed. She is a general in this Kingdom. She is stationed in District Ten.' Lara explained. 'I don't know much about her, but I hear she is close to the royal family.'
'No wonder she knows Princess Seraphina. She also appears strong, and her aura is different.' He now feels burdened because he sold Seraphina's name earlier.
Lee Han didn't ask anything but looked at the woman, feeling impressed. He had expected them to be soldiers, but he did not expect this woman to have such a high position in the army as a General; she also looked very young.
When Lee Han continued communicating with Lara through their mental connection, Zoey was busy thinking while staring at Lee Han.
Zoey still doubts Lee Han. She wanted to call Seraphina to ask about this man. Still, she couldn't because they couldn't use their communication devices at this location, or else that bastard Victor would find out their hiding place.
There was only one way to ensure this man was not lying to her about being an Adventurer. However, that method was too appropriate to ask.
After a long silence, Zoey finally spoke, "Who is your name?"
"Lee Han."
Zoey frowned. She had never heard of an Adventurer named Lee Han, and this man also claimed he knew Seraphina, which made her even more suspicious.
"Excuse me, what should I call you?" Lee Han asked politely, hoping to confirm her name.
Zoey didn't bother answering. Instead, she asked him to do something that made Lee Han feel almost choked.
"Remove your shirt!" Zoey said calmly with his deadpan expression.
Fuck! This woman has a weird hobby. How could she ask him to strip before her?
'Lara, did you hear that?' He asked.
'Yes, Master. She asked you to remove your shirt,' Lara said awkwardly. She was also puzzled by Zoey's order.
'Did she fall for me? I guess she did,' Lee Han chuckled inwardly, feeling proud that a Young General in this Kingdom had fallen for him in just one glance.
Lara, "…" she can't answer that.
"Miss, are you sure you want me to remove my clothes now!? Isn't it too hasty to ask me to do that before we get to know each other?" Lee Han smiled teasingly.
Zoey, "..."
"What the hell are you thinking?" Zoey was confused hearing his words.
