"Trust me, wild animals' blood pales in comparison to…" She stopped realizing he was talking to a human who was obviously fuming right now. Roman turned to look at her. She had her arms still crossed, and a brow raised as if daring him to keep talking.
He sighed inwardly as he thought about what he should say.
"I am sorry," he ended up apologizing, which shocked Astrid.
The most she had expected him to do was to stop talking about but never apologizing to her.
"Unlike shifter blood, the blood of wild animals is preferable because it doesn't kill us, but it is not exactly healthy for consumption," he explained, and she nodded her head in understanding.
He could have put it that way rather than what he said before.
