"You're lying to them." Nero snickered.
"Well, it's more believable than just saying that we come from the future and that a two diverging timeline has a possibility to rhyme their sequence of events with one another." Merry changed the content of the main screen in the room, replacing them with four different pictures, with the mask man being one of them. "It has been a little bit unconfirmed before, but now that we have all of the 'horsemen of apocalypse', we might as well make this public!"
The first image consisted of a ruined scenery where a single humanoid wearing what might appear to be a businessman suit with an unknown cubic object as a head, wafting on top of hundreds of monsters laid dead.
The second image could be seen to be composed of a nearly crumbling building the size of twenty stories. There was nothing unusual until one took a deeper look at the thin blurry outlines that took the form of an invisible humanoid figure holding a foreign contraption similar to a firearm, standing at the same height of the massive building with his back on the structure, as if it was taking a cover from something.
The third image showcased a single silhouette of light taking the form of a human with a long cape and a staff, standing behind a manifested apparition that resembled a waning crescent moon.
And then fourth image, a picture where a human with a foreign apparel and a metal mask.
"An event known as the Virtuosic War is about to happen." Merry smiled widely. "And humanity will become its victim if we don't make preparations to survive the onslaught of our future enemies."
"... I still can't believe that you still haven't noticed," Nero suddenly said, dropping all of his apathetic visage.
"Then what is this amazing revelation that the almighty Nero managed to notice?" Merry quipped.
"The man with the mask. That is Nagan."
Merry looked back to the photo of the masked man, and then switched back to Nero, and then to the photo, and then Nero again. "You would be canceled to assume that all black haired individuals are the same, you know."
"I'm not joking."
"Look, I know that you're jealous, knowing that Nagan can achieve more things than you can when he assumed the position of a Deus, but holding back that much of a spite won't be too good for your mind and body, you know?" Merry said sarcastically. "If I were you, I would puff and huff more E-cigarette smoke into my lungs knowing that I'm a nearly immortal psycaster who doesn't give a single thought to the wellbeing of the people in my surroundings."
"Merry, seriously, are you blind? Or are you deaf? Are you deaf and blind?"
"Here, here, I have sent this photo to Elos." Merry happily showed her device that showed her conversation with a person named Elos. "He said 'Did Nero show another picture of a man that resembles Nagan again? I thought I'm the one who misses him the most'!"
"Forget it!"
"Here, here. Another reply! 'Anyway, that masked person sure does look similar to Nagan, but doesn't mean that every black haired person on Earth is Nagan. Tell him that I have sent a plan to prepare for the Virtuosic War'!"
Ignoring the big ball of annoyance that was shoving a holographic screen onto his face, Nero fiddled with the device on his wrist without further ado, attempting to connect to Elos directly as soon as the call was taken, "Where the hell are you? And no, I'm too lazy to read your message, just let me get to your place and talk this over face to face."
"Hahaha, I knew you would do that, hence why the message I sent is empty."
"... You son of a-"
"Anyway, you will know the moment you come here." Elos wryly laughed, as he beheld a floating orb apparition three times the size of a human inside a curving chamber. "We can bother with the horsemens, we got some 'Voidlings' to exterminate."
As the man named Elos' view panned into every metal pipe and complex system of of psycast-powered contraptions, he quietly sighed with a smile.
"We'll win this war, unlike the last time." The desecrating memories of the 'Virtuosic War' on their first timeline was still as vivid as the heat emitted by the wafting orb of power in the center of the room. Fueling the urge to do better for a greater future, Elos knows of what he knew, and what he couldn't know. "Even without you here, Nagan."
Meanwhile, somewhere within the billow of reality, a confined bubble of space and possibility separated from any kind of realms, yet still connected to the Earth's passage of time.
A starry portal apparition was formed on the outskirts of a certain kingdom known with the epithet of Lunatic Kaleidoscope, numerous usalians could be seen nervously standing, some were even heavily sweating, waiting for their informed new mates to come.
"The new folks, I heard that they have mouse ears!"
"I wonder if they also chew through the infrastructure material."
"Stay calm, stay calm…"
"Shouldn't we welcome them with something? We can still cook the skytalon's meat and held a buffet!"
"Hoppington, can you say their numbers once again?" Charles prodded Hoppington as she maintained a proper smile for when the new residents came. "I still can't believe that our kingdom's population will skyrocket into three digits."
"We have 102 new residents," Hoppington casually stated.
"Dear muffin…"
"More than half of them will definitely be sent to the logistics," Hoppington said with her usual, ever scheming smile. "Our homeworld will never feel as if it's desolated now."
And just as the prismic bright light was emanating from the portal, a tidal wave of humanoid mouse folks began pouring into the new world like an unrelenting tsunami.
The usalians were covered by layers of nezuras hugging them to show their sincere gratitude. All of the usalians have been informed of this bit of information, but they never expected that it would be this intense.
"Is this what it feels like to have a hundred pets in your backyard?" Immortal Dragon Overlord uttered as she smothered by an unexpected wave of fluff with her transcended face facing the sun of this private realm.
"... Mice tsunami."
Meanwhile, right beside the amused Nagan and Owen, Kurisunetamyo could be seen embarrassedly flustered seeing the event that had just transpired. As if she had already told all of the nezuras to be patient and get their act together only for it to be ignored as they all rushed into the other side of the portal, hugging anyone that they could see.
