Chapter 13 - Danger approaching!

When everyone gathered together, Emily looked at their faces. She then decided it was time to continue on the journey. Since they rested, she said, "We will only rest after another two hours!"

It was understandable for her to do this. The more time they wasted the dangerous it became for them. Though this region was not infested with monsters, it was better to be safe than sorry.

Just as she expected, Cai'er was the first to protest. Looking at her, Emily did not even have any change in expression rather asked, "Anyone else has something to say!"

She was giving everyone a chance to express their dissatisfaction, but Li Jun did not approve of this.

It was not because he hated anyone rather he believed that in this situation the best way to handle things was by giving instructions and suggestions that were helpful in the task at hand rather than personal opinions. They were not useful in this environment at all and facts proved him right.

The moment she said this, the first word that came out of the woman Juxue's mouth was, "Since we are not going to rest for the next two hours can't we find some clothes to change in? My clothes are already becoming dirty in this wilderness environment."

When these words came out, Emily who had seen the disapproving look on Li Jun's face when she asked for anyone's opinion felt her head was becoming dizzy.

"Did I just shoot myself in the foot or something?" This was what she was thinking at the moment.

It was not without reason she thought of this, because another opinion was raised the next moment.

It was from Cai'er, she had different thoughts from everyone else, "I think the time we are walking is too much, we should have equal rest to movement."

The words were not making sense and she spoke as though some people were limiting her actions.

The final person to express their opinion was not surprisingly Fei, in Li Jun's eyes. "I think we should consider everyone's opinions on things and this will make us get along nicely."

Li Jun was thinking, "Yeah, I expect as much from this schemer. She acts like she is trying to mediate, but it makes everyone wary of each other except for her. What a clever rat." Even though this was what he thought about her, he didn't say anything.

He could analyze a lot of things and her actions could be seen by him in an instant.

Listening to all this, he was tired, and said, "Let's move, it is best to get out of the wilderness before darkness comes into play or even gods can't save us. We better hope we can find some animal droppings along the way to smear on ourselves and use it as camouflage." He said this with a straight face.

It was just that the moment everyone heard what he had said, it was like a bomb had been detonated among them.

"This is the feeling!" He thought to himself as he felt some sights fall on him as though they wanted to eat him.

But why would he care, he had already taken a step forward and Emily followed along.

"I have a feeling you are the villain in some kind of story." When the two of them had moved some distance she whispered in his ear and replied, "Did you read the story carefully?"

Of course, he knew what she was referring to, he had not just taken their demands and stepped on them, he overturned them with his opposite demands.

The scariest thing was that he had a good reason for this, if they didn't choose to cooperate, it would be like they were trying to endanger the entire team.

This was the best counterattack without even showing any aggression at all. He called it, learning from the enemy.

In Li Jun's eyes though, these three women were not worth being called his enemies, he just thought they were too self-absorbed.

In the wilderness it was stupid to be obsessed with your beauty, death was roaming in this zone.

He was not sure about the reason behind this action, but people were going to either lose their lives or become permanently maimed.

He was not trying to be among those who were unlucky due to having a stupid teammate among them.

He even had a feeling they should have split already.

At the back, Cai'er, Fei, and Juxue were still depressed at how their opinions were overturned and were almost forced into doing what they didn't want.

Cai'er was so angry her chest was heaving up and down.

She could not help herself but stomp her feet on the ground, "He is picking on us. How come he never mentioned the issue of danger in the beginning but just now he thought it best to say something when I mentioned getting clothes to wear."

Indeed, just like she had guessed, his words were not just aimed at her, rather Li Jun was indeed scared about the wilderness without any ability to protect himself from the weakest of creatures.

What he had to do was simply triedsimplytrimmedd

The best strategy was a survival strategy. The eight of them are very eye-catching and any monster might easily detect their presence and approach.

His plan was not bad, it was the skill most individuals use when they enter the wilderness. Even though they were at the periphery of the wilderness, this should still work.

It was not just a matter of settling scores or anything, rather the danger involved in this situation itself allowed for him to act in this way.

The women on the other end, did think he was targeting them.

But it was a good sign that they didn't come in contact with animal waste, but that was not the case in the real world.

Such idea scenarios would mean they were very lucky, but it was untrue.

When moving, Li Jun had already discovered that the sticks on the ground were broken.

"Something just walked past here? We have to be vigilant." He reminded Emily that squared down to observe.

"How long ago do you think this was?" she asked back in return.

"I have no idea, but from the current situation, does this matter anymore?" He asked this with some genuine confusion on his face.

He was not interested in interacting with the monsters in the wilderness. In their current state, it was only death if they dared to fight a monster head-on.

At the back of the team, Yu Tu was walking with the two other men. The first was the shy-looking one called, Tai Wei. He knew his name, just as he also knew the name of the resolute-looking one, Lu Fei.

When it came to Tai Wei, it was easier to arouse this guy's interest even though he seemed shy.

At that moment both of them were looking at Yu Tu's talk, before Tai Wei asked, "What does your brother Li seem to be targeting those three ladies?"

He had been observing the whole development this while and found it suspicious.

In the beginning, he could see that things were not normal, but when Li Jun talked, they were almost about to go crazy.

He had seen him on the train, that whole time he was sleeping, but what he said on the outside seemed that be as dangerous to the ears of the ladies.

But hearing what Tai Wei asked, Yu Tu shook his head. "It is not hating them, actually he thinks they are the kind that could get us all killed. In case you have yet to realize, they treat us all as though we are their servants. Only he does not seem to care about them and shakes them straight in their positions. As for what he said about covering ourselves in animal droppings, it was probably meant in a good way." How could he admit it?

He was sure that Li Jun had balanced them well with that claim. He was starting to get tired of their stupid requests, perhaps due to the fact they had yet to encounter danger, they became more relaxed forgetting this was beyond the sector walls.

"I think what he said was correct. We should think of ways to hide our presence, the animal remains are not enough. We need to go even further than that." Lu Fei finally spoke up.

Hearing him, Yu Tu interrupted his words so fast.

"Pu!pu!pu!.. what do you mean we need to go further than that? Isn't it already good enough that one person is hated on the team by those crazy witches? Do you want to end up single for the rest of your life? Don't offend these three or you might have long nights. Trust me, you don't want to copy that old Li."

At this point, Yu Tu had even changed the way he addressed Li Jun from before. One could think he was mentioning his ancestor's name.

The observant Lu Fei looked at the front only to see Emily squatting down close to Li Jun.

The solemn look on her face could not be concealed.

"Look! What is happening up ahead?" He interrupted Yu Tu when he asked this.
