It's finally time for the first day of class at Terios of Wizard High Magic School, which is ranked number 1 among all high magic schools with the highest statistics of students wanting to study and produce the highest quality people working in many professional and adventurous fields.
Mariel is dressed in a black school uniform, a short black skirt with excitement. From today onwards, she will have to leave her house and go live in a female student dormitory. Many questions keep popping into her head.
"I will meet many new friends. What will each person be like?"
"Will I meet Beatrix again?"
"Will the room be convenient?"
"How big will the school really be?"
Marielle finished getting dressed and turned around in front of the large mirror. To see for herself if the clothes are comfortable to wear. Does it fit? Is there anything else that needs to be worn?
Mariel then put on lining pants to protect herself to prevent inappropriate things that may occur in the future.
"You look good in this school uniform." Magmatrion teased from the Dragon Slayer Sword that was placed behind Mariel next to the study table.
"Thank you." Mariel said and smiled a little shyly.
"Then I won't praise you, just wear it so-so. Will I be able to study? Are you going to argue with men? Or maybe they'll called a parent because of your behavior, Lol." Magmatrion said with laughed.
"Do you want to live happily with me? Lord Magmatrion..." Mariel turned and stared narrowly in the eyes, a smile that was hidden in terror.
"Ok! Ok! Don't act like that. I am sorry." Magmatrion finished and immediately kept silent.
Knock! Knock! There was a knock on the room door.
"Come in." Mariel said.
Claudia comes in to check again to see how ready her daughter is.
"You look really good." Claudia said, coming to help fix her daughter's dress with a very proud expression on her face.
"Deric and I once had a dream of being a student to study at this school but at least my daughter was successful for our dream. I'm so happy." Claudia said with tears in her eyes.
"I will definitely not disappoint you." Mariel promised.
Claudia took out a pair of earrings, beautiful silver crystal ones. She then placed one in his right ear and the other one in Mariel's left ear.
"This pair of crystal earrings represents a mother who is always there for her child. This will alert me when you are in danger. If something happens to the you, I and Deric will immediately teleport to help you." Claudia said.
"Thank you, Mom, for always caring about me," Mariel said, hugging her mother tightly. The feeling of being afraid about being separated from her parents leads to loneliness. Everything disappeared because at least she had this earring that gave her the feeling that her mother was always by her side.
"Alright, let's go down and eat breakfast. We will get ready for school together." Claudia said, kissing her daughter on the cheek once.
"Yes, mom." Mariel replied.
Then Claudia took the shoulder bag that held all her textbooks and went downstairs to wait. As for Mariel, she looked at everything around the room to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything. Then she dragged a large bag containing various items. She turned to look at the Dragon Slayer Sword and slowly raised her right hand.
"Let's go together, Lord Magmatrion." Mariel said and immediately used magic to pull the entire sword into her right arm. Then she carried a bag and walked down the stairs to join her parents.
When they had finished eating breakfast, then they put all of Mariel's belongings in the back of the car and drove into the capital city together. When they arrived at the destination, they got out of the car and took all Mariel's luggage to the front of the main gate. Then there will be small carriages from each school waiting for students and parents. Each school has a clear symbol on the seat of the carriage.
Deric, Claudia, and Mariel sat in a black carriage. The horse was white and the carriage driver, who is from the 1st high school of wizard had put all the luggage on the back. Then they rode a horse-drawn carriage immediately to the inner city. This capital city has the top 3 high magic schools, while the 4th - 10th places are placed in other corners or placed at other nearby cities that are not too far away from this capital city.
After about 20 minutes, they arrived in front of Terios of Wizard High School of Magic.
"It's enormous!" Mariel shouted with excitement.
The large castle in front of Mariel had approximately three floors and was similar in structure and sculpture to the Medieval Roman period, but more modern. When they look at it, even though it looks like a large layer of cream-colored marble that makes up the structure of this building and it doesn't feel crowded at all. The allocated area looks orderly, and the air is clear, not uncomfortable. Around the building, there is a water system that circulates all the time and there are many kinds of fish swimming in the water. This makes you feel surprisingly calm, but the most surprising thing is that the building, although it appears to be more than 100 years old, does not appear to have any no damage in the rock layers used for the construction of this building. No matter how many generations have passed, a lot of students have come to study. There's not even the slightest trace of dried algae on it. It indicates the care and attention taken in the restoration very well. It is no wonder that everyone would like to study here at least once in their life.
The inside of the building is a large square with the front part being the teacher's room. Including the headmaster's room, the building on the left, right, and north consists of classrooms arranged next to each other in an orderly manner. The third floor is for third-year students. The second floor is for second-year students. The first floor is for first-year students as well, the center of the building in all four directions is an open space that looks like a large garden with many tables and seats prepared for students to review their textbooks or do activities together. This garden will have a grass surface. There are many kinds of flowers that are very beautiful to look at and relax. There are also many large trees suitable for relaxing after a long day of study.
"This is truly my dream school." Mariel walked around the building with excitement. Deric and Claudia walked towards the front of the building where the administrative office was inside.
"Wait here. I and Claudia must submit the family documents first. You can look at these places around here at first and don't go anywhere far because we must go up and see the principal of this school again." Deric said.
"Ok, dad." Mariel promised.
Deric and Claudia carried various documents into the private administration room. Mariel looked around the building with interest.
"Senior! don't tease me!" a female student's voice turned to complain at a group of seniors who seemed to be teasing something with female students not too far from her.
"I'm sorry, sis. You're so cute that why I tease you a little, Lol." The leader of the group, a second-year senior, laughed with delight along with the group of 4 henchmen.
"Senior Jack always aim accurately." one henchman in the group praised him.
"It's piece a cake, my eyesight is like a hawk." said Jack, who was the son of the owner of the capital's largest construction equipment and stationery store in the city. His parents were quite spoiled at him, and he liked to act as the leader of the group. He has sharp eyes, hair dyed red and wears an earring in the right ear. The male school uniform took off black outerwear and draped it over his shoulder. As for the white shirt inside, one button was unbuttoned. Revealing a prominent cross-shaped necklace on the chest. The collar is raised against the neck indicating group leadership but because of his intelligence, he was able to enter this school like the other students of the group.
"Let's find our next one." Senior Jack said as he stumbled upon a first-year female student who was walking and looking at the outside building excitement in front of them.
"You really have sharp-sighted. That female student looks cute." His henchman said flatteringly.
"She looks pretty teasing, let's do it!" Senior Jack said as he begins casting wind magic on his right hand. He aims at the skirt of that first-year female student among the other students who were passing by not too far away from her.
Senior Jack immediately blew wind magic onto the female schoolgirl's skirt. It means to see something what they have in their mind like other henchmen in the group.
"???" The female student felt a strange premonition. So, she immediately raised her left hand and turned to her back.
"Dispelling!" a female student said as the magic casting the wind magic that hit to other wind magic until they both dissipated.
That's right, that first-year female student was Mariel. She was able to prevent this by acting behind someone's back was a shock to Senior Jack and his henchmen.
"How was that young female student able to defend herself? She was so quick." His henchman said.
"Interesting! Lol." Senior Jack said.
"Don't do this to anyone else. It's impolite, Seniors!" Mariel said, staring fearlessly at the group of seniors.
"Just a little teasing." Senior Jack said.
"By opening someone else's skirt like this. You are terrible!" Mariel said.
Senior Jack's mood was getting bad until the other four henchmen felt that the atmosphere was starting to not feel good at all.
"Hey! What's your name?" Senior Jack asked.
"I won't tell you. Excuse me, it wasted my time. Goodbye!" Mariel said, shaking her head away. Then immediately walked back into the school building. Leaving the group of seniors sitting there stunned.
"It's not over yet!" Senior Jack gritted his teeth with anger at feeling humiliated by this incident.
Mariel walked back to the administration room just as Deric and Claudia had finished filing their documents. Then they left all their belongings in the cloakroom and went up the stairs to the third floor to meet the school's Principal office.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!" an old man's voice answered.
"Please allow me. Mariel De Stella's family who placed 9th in the exam." the guide introduced.
"Congratulations!" the old man said with a smile. He was sitting at the principal's desk, and behind him was a chubby middle-aged man standing as well.
"Your Sincerely, Lord Hector." Deric and Claudia immediately bowed in respect and Mariel did it too.
"Please take your seats, let me introduce myself. My name is Hector De Kaiser. I have been the principal in charge of this school for more than 100 years and am also a Legendary Sorcerer. This person is Conrad De Rajan, the director who has passed on from the oldest family that owned this school." Hector introduced himself and the other person.
"Welcome to Terios School of Wizard, the oldest and #1 high school of magic throughout the ages. We are honored to welcome your family as part of this pride." Said by Conrad.
Principal Hector was an old man with long white hair that reached his neck and wore a large brown magical hat on his head. He wore a brown robe and held a large magical staff in his hand. Conrad wore a nobleman's robe, red with crimson trim, black pants, and black leather shoes. It indicated the pride of the Elite group very well.
"I'm Deric De Stella, and others, my wife's name is Claudia De Stella, and my daughter's name is Mariel De Stella." Deric said, introducing his family members to them.
While everyone was talking and reading about the school's regulations. A side door opened from another room which looked like a guest room inside. The young man appeared into the room. Because of his appearance, he was the son of the school owner and had a fat body shape. He also wore the school uniform of this school. He had short black hair; plump 2 hands were in both pockets of his pants, and he had a lollipop in his mouth.
"Father…" the young man said but then he suddenly stopped.
Mariel immediately turned to look at him, then she gave a friendly smile.
Phew!!! Cupid, who was shaped like him with small angel wings on both sides, appeared in front of him and used a large pound hammer to hit him in the middle of the body until he hit the wall with a loud thud. All of that happened in the mind of this young man.
"Oh, I would like to introduce my son, Jerrick De Rajan. He was number 1 in the entrance exam for this school." Conrad proudly introduced his beloved son.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Mariel De Stella." Mariel introduced herself, bowing respectfully.
"Alright, I assume you understand all the rules. See you again when we go to the auditorium." Elder Hector said.
"Thank you very much." Deric and his family thanked him and then left the room.
Wink*
Jerrick dropped the candy bar he just finished eating. Then he took a new one out of his bag, removed the paper covering it, then threw it up to the ceiling of the room and slowly fell. Jerrick jumped and spun around three and a half times, grabbed the lollipop stick in his mouth and landed skillfully on the ground.
"This is… Son Jerrick's signature action when he finds something he likes the most." Conrad was shocked to see his son's signature action, which he hadn't seen in years.
"Father! I met my angel." Jerick said with a twinkle in his eyes.
"That young girl?" Conrad asked.
"Yes, my first love, I will win her heart, Mariel De Stella." Jerrick said in happiness.
"This young man really has a lot of energy." Elder Hector said with a smile.
Deric, Claudia, and Mariel went down to the bottom floor to prepare for the girls' dormitory behind the school building. The students must be paired together as roommates for all three years of study.
"You may have to draw lots to find a partner. If you still can't find a roommate." Deric said.
"I'll try looking around here." Mariel said, looking around for the other female students.
"Then I and Deric go back to wait you at the carriage. Don't take too long." Claudia said, inviting Deric to go back and wait for Mariel in the carriage because she wants her daughter to spend time to find a roommate from other students.
Mariel walks around the group of other female students in search of a roommate but she still hasn't found what she expected until...
A female student with a familiar face was sitting quietly on a small bench reading a textbook.
"Beatrix!!!" Mariel shouted out in joy before rushing towards her.
"Mariel???" Beatrix also shouted with joy at seeing each other again.
The 2 girls hugged each other tightly. Both sides were glad that they had fulfilled the promise they had made to each other to attend this school together.
"Beatrix, May I ask you to be my roommate?" Mariel asked shyly.
"Oh, sure. If I were you, I'd probably ask the same thing too." Beatrix replied, looking delighted.
"Nice! Then let's go back and tell our parents for a moment. We will be able to ride together in a carriage to the female student dormitory." Mariel said.
"Yes, I will be riding in my carriage with my maid as well." Beatrix replied.
Mariel ran back to Deric and Claudia, filled with joy. Beatrix put her textbooks into her shoulder bag and prepared to return to her carriage, she met a group of Jack's seniors passing by.
"Oh, this is Beatrix, right? There is news that your father has embezzled government funds." Senior Jack asked with a teasing expression on his face.
"My father didn't do that!" Beatrix shouted back with a look of displeasure on her face.
"It's such a big news. If it weren't true, your father wouldn't have been executed." Senior Jack said.
Beatrix said nothing but was very angry. She extended her palm and prepared to slap Senior Jack in front of everyone, but...
Senior Jack grabbed Beatrix's hand just in time and squeezed it so tightly that made Beatrix cry out in pain.
"You want to slap me on my face. You silly! Lol." Senior Jack said while laughing along with the group of 4 henchmen.
"You're going to slap our Senior Jack's face. You are not modest at all, little Beatrix." one of his henchmen said.
"It hurt! Let me go!" Beatrix begged with a pained expression on her face.
A hand quickly reached out and grabbed onto Senior Jack's wrist, squeezing with force until it began to hurt.
"Who dares to mess with me!" Senior Jack shouted and immediately turned his head to look at another person.
"Let her go! Now!" Mariel shouted, looking with angry eyes towards the entire second year group without any fear at all.
"Mariel." Beatrix cried out with joy.
"Alright! I guess we'll see a fight soon." said Deric, who was watching from a distance.
"Aren't you going to stop them? Aren't you worried about our daughter?" Claudia asked.
"Someone who to be worried about, it's those senior students." Deric said, staring unblinkingly.
In front of them, Mariel stood face to face with Senior Jack. The atmosphere became more and more oppressive until other students turned to look at the same spot as gossip spread throughout the area.
