Principal Hector kept watch over Mariel all night. As for Elizabeth, she slept in her own bedroom in the Professor residence building, which was not too far from the school building.
Knock, knock!... A knock sounded at the door early in the morning.
"Come in." Hector said.
"Excuse me, Principal Hector. Mariel." Beatrix asked for her friend after opening the door with Mania.
"No need to be worried, Mariel stayed here all night." Hector said, looking at Mariel who was asleep on the sofa next to him.
"Mariel, how are you?" Beatrix and Mania said, coming to check on her friend.
Mariel woke up and yawned.
"Are you awake? Mariel." Hector asked.
"How long have I been asleep?" Mariel asked.
"All night. You didn't come back to your room until we were worried about you." Beatrix replied.
"Alright! You feel better now. You can go back to your room, get dressed and prepare to go to class in the morning." Hector said.
"Thank you very much, Principal Hector." Mariel said before leaving the room with Beatrix and Mania.
While walking back to their room together, Beatrix and Mania ask what the result was last night. Mariel responded with a sad face because she was completely defeated by Principal Hector.
"I have no hope of getting this job." Mariel said with a sad expression.
"Don't expect it. At least you survived." Beatrix said.
"Yes, this job is too hard for you. Let's apply again next year, it's still not too late, Mariel," Mania said.
Even though her friends tried to tell Mariel to give up and find another part-time job, she is still can't believe for not being able to get this job because she thinks that she has the potential to be Principal Hector assistant student. In the end, she didn't do well enough and was very disappointed in herself.
After returning to the room, Mariel took a shower and dressed in her new school uniform. Then she cooked a simple breakfast with her friends and immediately went out to study the subject of creating various types of special potions.
Professor Cassandra said hello to all students and checked their names until every class was complete. First, the students were divided into 5 large groups of 10 people each. They then sat together at a large table and immediately started making special potions together.
"First, take the empty medicine bottles and place them in a pile, then follow the textbook step by step, all students." Professor Cassandra explains in detail step by step.
"Take a blade of red grass and grind it thoroughly, then leave it on a table. Then take out the silver ingredients that the professor prepared and mix them together." Mariel said as she carefully followed the textbook's instructions while Beatrix and Mania worked diligently together.
It didn't take long for all the students to be able to complete all the basic ingredients, put them together and wait for the next mixing step.
"Next, mix the four ingredients in a ratio of 1 : 1 : 1 : 2 into the boiling pot, students." Professor Cassandra said, giving an example.
Every student watched carefully and followed along until the end. A palm-sized bottle of red liquid was simultaneously placed on the table.
"This is a basic red potion that everyone should be able to make. It is for restoring the body's Qi and healing wounds for major." Professor Cassandra said while praising all the students, not even one made a mistake in mixing these potions.
Professor Cassandra then told the history of the ancient era and how the old magicians invented various kinds of special potions. Including telling about her own experiences when she had to go on missions and search for many strange ingredients to try to make new special potions that were not written in the book. Some of the mixing gave her new potions, but most of them completely failed.
"Sometimes I mix things up and explode in front of the students." Professor Cassandra said, blaming herself for her mistake.
"And what were the results, Professor?" one student in the room asked.
"I admitted for treatment at the hospital. It took a week to recovery me." Professor Cassandra replied, earning laughter from all the students.
Professor Cassandra then taught the students how to make various other potions. Whether it is a potion for relieving burning pain in the body, a potion for unconsciousness and some potions that antidote to poison.
The students created special potions for fun and relaxation. Everyone expects that they will be able to score full marks in this subject during the exams at the end of the year.
"I want to make a potion that girls will fall in love with." Jerrick said to the group of male students in the room.
"Same as us. It shouldn't be difficult to make it, let's try to find the recipe." the other friends said as they began to think of a plan in their minds.
"Let's assign each other duties, friends, and next week let's try it out together, Lol." Jerick said with a laugh, then looked at Mariel who was sitting and chatting with a group of female friends.
"It won't be too long. I must make you fall in love with me, My Angel Mariel." Jerrick said, planning in his mind.
Mariel felt like something was wrong and immediately turned to look at Jerrick, but he chatted happily with the group of men without showing any signs of something unusual.
"Maybe I'm thinking about it too much." Mariel said in her mind and turned to continuing talking with her friends.
After finishing class on creating special potions, they went to the main meeting room for first-year students. The school had hired over 20 professors from outside the school to provide various professional advice.
"If I really have to stop being an adventurer, then I plan to open a magic school for children in the future." Beatrix said, leading her friends by the hand to a female professor with a signboard, "Professional guidance in the magic school for children."
"What about you, Mania?" Mariel asked.
"I think I'll learn about agriculture because my village where the Elves live is very fertile. I want to bring new ways and new types of seeds to plant because there are quite a lot of Elves among us. Each year there is hardly enough produce to be harvested as a reserve for emergencies. It made us go into the city to buy some. So, I wanted to find a way to increase production even more for our villagers." Mania said.
"That's good for u, Mania." Mariel said with admiration.
(Each person had their own way of life. They developed individuals to have knowledge for their next generations or set a goal to develop their own villages to have a better life than before. I sincerely admire these two friends and It's a pleasure to be friends with them.) (Chai thinking)
Along with Beatrix, Mariel listens to the instructions for opening a magic school for children. As for Mania, she separated to meet with the agriculture professor specifically.
Times passed until noon. The professors all said farewell to all students from 3 years before leaving. After that, all the students dispersed to eat lunch before the names for clubs and part-time jobs Announcement boards were announced later in the afternoon.
"I hope I get what I expected, work in the school restaurant to earn extra income and learn high ice magic spells from Professor Kiros with the advanced magic skills in his specific classroom." Beatrix said.
"I also want a job in the library. I'd love to research a lot of books and get a part-time job like Mrs. Beatrix too. And I plan to learn more about advanced healing techniques as well." Mania said.
"Just call me Beatrix." Beatrix said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Beatrix." Mania replied immediately.
"And you, Mariel?" Beatrix asked.
"Hmm...I was just expecting the Exercise Club and the Advanced Swordsman Club." Mariel said with a disappointed expression on her face after failing Hector's test last night.
"Don't blame yourself. Next year you can try again." Beatrix encouraged.
"You will be able to get this part-time job for sure, I believe in you." Mania said with confidence to Mariel.
"Thank you, my friends." Mariel felt encouraged.
In their room while Mariel was eating lunch with Beatrix and Mania.
*The sound of footsteps coming quickly. *
"Stop! You can't come in this building!" the dormitory keeper shouted behind someone who ran so loudly.
"Is my lovely Mariel living here?" A familiar voice sounded from the front of the room.
"It's him again." Mariela said.
Knock, knock, knock. The sound of knocking on the door nonstops.
"Is there something wrong? Senior Jack." Mariel said as she opened the door to the room.
Senior Jack was panting from exhaustion in front of the door with extremely worried eyes.
"What the hell are you doing?" Senior Jack asked with a very serious expression.
"I told you not to enter this building! This is female student's dormitory." the dormitory keeper shouted.
Senior Jack quickly grabbed Mariel's arm and ran down the building while his henchmen ran behind them.
"Mariel! Where are you guys going??? Beatrix said in shock as she hurriedly put down her plate and hurriedly followed them with Mania.
"Senior Jack! Where are you taking me?" Mariel said in a daze as she floated above the ground. She was led by Senior Jack at a speed comparable to a cheetah.
They arrived under the school building where there was a large announcement board with over 100 students gossiping and staring intently at the list of announcements for various clubs and part-time jobs.
"Get out of my way!" Senior Jack shouted as he separated the other students until they arrived in front of a large announcement board.
"Look at the top! Mariel." Senior Jack said, pointing for Mariel to look up at the top in the center of the announcement board.
Principal Hector's Special Assistant student job is accepting 1 position.
- Mariel De Stella: passed the test.
"What!!!!" Mariel exclaimed in shock. How is it possible? Why did she pass the test? Even though she had just been completely defeated to Principal Hector last night.
"My lovely Mariel, how did you pass the test? It's very dangerous, you know that. No one dares to apply this job, even a guy like me wouldn't have to do something crazy like this!" Senior Jack said, shaking Mariel continuously.
"Well, I don't know." Mariel said, looking confused by what was happening in front of her.
Beatrix, Mania, and Jack's henchmen arrived and found out the results, causing everyone to be stunned.
"How did you pass the test? Mariel." Beatrix said while she couldn't believe her eyes.
"Mariel, you have passed Principal Hector's test. You are the first person in 100 years who passed this test!" Mania said in shock.
"Our beloved Mariel is the best!" Jack's senior henchmen praised her in unison.
The other first year students looked at Mariel with disdain, they didn't expect this girl to pass Principal Hector's test.
"Is that her, Mariel? How does she pass this test?"
"I guess Principal Hector must have biased her."
"It's not fair at all."
The sound of gossip spread throughout the area. Including the 2nd and 3rd year seniors who started joining as well.
Mariel became angry after listening to this gossip.
"If something happens to you, how can I marry you?" Senior Jack said with regret.
"Who said I am going to marry you!" Mariel shouted loudly as she pulled the collar of Jack's senior's shirt and threw his body far away until he hit a large tree.
"Ouch!" Senior Jack's voice cried out before he fainted on the ground.
The atmosphere around Mariel was starting to get unusual. Many students began to look at her with even more disgust, until Beatrix and Mania saw bad feelings around them.
"Let's get out of here." Beatrix said.
Mariel didn't answer but walked with her head bowed towards the white stone pillar which wasn't far from the announcement board. She touched the stone pillar until it responded to her request and then she immediately walked into the barrier area.
Mariel's surroundings suddenly appeared as a fire magic power, so that the group of people outside the barrier arena could also feel the heat at this time.
"Dragon Slayer Sword!" Mariel shouted loudly.
The sword immediately appeared in front of her.
"Show them! My young lady." Magmatrion said into Mariel's ears.
Mariel didn't respond but smiled sincerely. Using her right hand to pick up the sword, she raised it up into the sky until it cast a flame that shot through the barrier into the atmosphere which surprised the other students.
"Watch this!" Mariel said, pushing her fire magic power to the maximum.
Scorching!!!
Mariel turned around and turned towards the group of students and immediately slammed her flame sword down onto the ground with maximum power.
The force of the flame sword's strike combined with the boosting force of the Magmatrion caused the ground nearby to shake to such an extent that every student collapsed on the ground at the same time because of this vibration.
Everyone was stunned by the power of Mariel who stood in front of them and stared at everyone without any fear.
Mariel's eyes swept over all the students with a smile that signaled victory in making the situation around her calm and quiet without any more gossip.
"Does anyone else have any question?" Mariel said confidently before finding that there was no more gossip. Then she put the sword back on her right arm as usual and walked out of the arena valiantly.
"Let's go!" Mariel said to Beatrix and Mania before leading her friends out of the area immediately. Leaving the other students still standing in shock at her abilities.
On top of the school building, Principal Hector stood through the window and watched Mariel and her friends walk away with smiles.
"Master, you shouldn't accept this student. She even seems overconfident." Elizabeth said with displeasure.
"This is the next Victor, who is the legendary swordman." Hector said.
"Master, what are you so confident about this?" Elizabeth said curiously.
But Hector didn't answer and turned to look at Mariel who was walking back to her room again.
"When the first mission is announced, prepared to be ready for it. Mariel." Hector said with confidence in his new assistant student.
