Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – The Party.

After father got dragged away and maybe murder as well, I continue my training. I don't want to know what happened to him and I'm scared to even ask.

May his soul rest in peace.

Well, he did came back to life the next day. Apparently had strong recovery powers thanks to his skill he got during his adventurer days [Self-Recovery].

I heard once about this skill in the novel. It's a regeneration type skill that can help with recovery over time.

I does resembles a bit other skill called [Body Regeneration], but it kind of works in the different way.

[Body Regeneration] uses the person stamina or/and mana to heal and regrow the lost parts of the body and recover health. It can even be used to restore a limb if the skill level is high enough.

[Self-Recovery] is the skill that works the similar way, but it does not consume mana or stamina. It helps you to recover and deal with the wounds much easier compare to the persona that does not possess the skill and unlike the [Body Regeneration] it doesn't use either mana or stamina.

Honestly speaking, [Self-Recovery] is a quiet good skill and I wasn't expecting my dad to have it.

But it maybe be better if he did not have that skill. Because he has it, the mom can get more rough with him.

Speaking of the skills. My affinity towards the earth magic increases and my skill [Basic Earth Magic] became level 2.

I also manage to get the [Basic Non element Magic]. Non elemental magic doesn't require. Well, apparently the basic magic isn't that really strong. I can't make something like a giant rock and throw them at my enemies.

[Magic Tiers]

[Basic Earth Magic] -> [Earth Magic] -> [Advance Earth Magic] -> [High Earth Magic] -> [Master Earth Magic] -> [Grand Master Earth Magic]

Well, since we are already on the topic on the magic, let's talk about the magic, skills and arts.

[Magic]

[To learn and use magic, the person first needs to acquire affinity towards the specific aspect or element. The most common method of acquiring affinity is via manifestation using mana. After acquiring the affinity, the person is then able to grow and make their affinity and magic stronger.]

[The stronger your magic affinity is, the stronger and more complicated spells you can handle.]

[Sometimes different affinities are related to each other. So, for example if a person acquires an earth element affinity, he maybe have easier time getting plant magic affinity.]

[After a person finally acquires an affinity, that person is able to use their mana with their affinity to cast a spell.]

[Well, there is an exception to this rule. There are some spells called non elemental spells that do not require mana affinity. Non elemental affinity are easy to learn and are quite handy, so it's recommended to learn some basic non elemental spells.]

[Spell can be either learned or made yourself. Sometimes spells can use more than 1 affinities.]

[Skills]

[Some say the skills are mutation of some sorts while others said it was gift of gods. There exists many theories why they exits and all, but let's not talk about that now. After meeting specific conditions, you can acquire skills. For example, if you try and improve your mana recovery speed to certain degree over and over again, you will acquire skill [Mana Recovery – Minor – Weak]. There is really many different skills in this world and each can be acquire in the different way.]

[There also exist a special category of the skills. The "Unique Skills".]

[This kind of skills can usually be granted upon the birth. Simply put, these skills are extremely unique and rare. Sometimes they can be simple or a very powerful.]

[The last categories of the common powers are "Arts" or some people call them "Techniques."]

[Simple put, arts a physical manifestation of the one strength. You could say its counterpart of the spells. Usually, each art is associated with the specific weapon.]

[To learn art, you need to train and understand flow of the power or maybe experience alignment during training. You can also learn by being teached by somebody and you can even create your own art just like spells.]

The [Basic Earth Magic] is quite easy to get and level up and it isn't that stronger. After you manage to evolve it into the [Earth Magic] it then can be noticeable way more useful. I need to level up and evolve my earth [Basic Earth Magic] to [Earth Magic] before I try becoming and adventurer.

Well, obviously there is limit of how much I can improve my magic since I'm the child in the first place.

Anyway, I was looking forward for the dad to teach my magic, but...

"Dad. Don't take me wrong, but your explanations sucks…..."

"What?!"

"I told you suck at teaching magic to others." – said the madam Upira.

The father was a warrior. He did knew some magic, but mostly the basic one. He did knew some more powerful spells, but they were buff types ones that made a person stronger and right now I need to learn basics, so it was completely useless for me.

He tried explaining me some basics, but I could not understood it at all.

Mom kind of expected that and took over.

"Hm…... Ah! I may suck at teaching magic, but I'm good at teaching arts son! So how about it? Maybe you will become magic swordman?"

(Magic swordman huh? Magic swordsman are the not that hard to became one, but hard to master.)

(However, if I plan became one. I will have to spend half of time training physical. And in the first place, do I want to became one?)

"…...Hm…I don't think so. I like stick with magic really."

"Oh…"

The boy's father left the training room while sulking.

"Well, I did warn him that you wouldn't understand anything he said. Anyway, I can help with learning earth magic a bit from time to time. I won't be always able to help you out since I have to do some papers works." – said madam Upira.

"It's okay mom. I just glad that you can help me from time to time." – replied the boy.

2 weeks later.

[Basic Earth Magic] level 2 -> 3

[Basic Non Elementa Magic] level 1 -> 2

(Training with the mom paid off surprisingly well. Even though she couldn't help me every day, each time she did helped me, I made a progress. She did said that she rather teach me in her own ways, instead of using academy ways and I really do know why. She really seems to despise even mentioning the academy name. What the hell did they done to her.)

(Anyway, my training is going way more smoothy than I thought, but because of mana overcharge syndrome had ended, I no longer have a bit extra mana. At this rate it may only take me around 2 to 3 mouths to get the [Earth Magic].)

'Knock' 'Knock'

"Enter."

The maid entered boy room.

"Sorry for intrusion young master." – said Allie.

"Hi Allie. Is it time for the dinner?"

"Not yet young master. Madam Upira wanted me to inform you about the today magic lesson. She said that she won't be able you to teach for few days."

"Oh, okay. Is there anything else?"

"Yes. The day after tomorrow, a party will be held by head of the Arivi house estate and your parents and you were invited to join."

"A party?"

"Yes. Madam wanted you to not to train tomorrow so you can be in the best shape for the party."

"That all?"

"Yes."

"…."

"Party huh?"

(This will be the first time attending any party after recovering my memories. No wait. I haven't left a mansion at all ever since I regained my memories. Honestly saying, I don't want to attend one and just shut my self and continue learning magic.)

(I've kind of grow liking towards learning magic. It's kind of more fun and interesting than I though.)

(But I obviously can't say no or my mother will murder me, just like she did with dad.)

2 days later.

"Young master, please stop moving so much." – said Allie.

"I know, but can't I just go with my casual clothes?"

"No. Madam strictly order that you need to look good today."

The maid was helping the boy put on the clothes.

"…. And done. Now your area ready to head out."

The boy beginned looking at him self though a big mirror.

(Well, this isn't a normal suit I'm used to wear. It does look good, but putting it on is very annoying.)

"Young master, we should hurry. Your parents are probably waiting for you at the entrance." – said the maid.

The maid and the boy left the room and headed towards the mansion entrance.

"Ah you are here son. Come. The carriage is already waiting for us." – said madam Upira.

The boy and his parents entered the caravan and shortly after, the caravan begin moving. It didn't took long for the caravan to left the noble family territory.

(The mansion is located in the western-south part of the city. We need to travel to the west outside of the city to arrive at our destination. Mom said that we will ride through part of the city and then exit it via west gate. She said that it will take us around an hour and the half to arrive to the location.)

The boy move away the curtain inside of the carriage and beginned looking through winddown.

(Anyway, maybe I should go once or twice around the city and explore it a bit.)

("Unwritten Tale" the game, wasn't an open world. Meaning you couldn't walk anywhere you would like with full freedom. You could only go to the area A to the are B.)

(But, even if it wasn't the game, I doubt the map of the game would be the same like in the game. The game develops often make changes in the world like making the world bit bigger and adding a bonus content and stuff like this.)

(I can't kind of relay at all from memories when I played the game when it comes to the maps and stuff like that.)

(The only stuff I can rely on are the stuff that was written in novel, but obviously I can't complete relay on the novel as well, since not everything was written in it.)

(For example, the mansion of the Vvirian wasn't mentioned at all in the novel, but I living in it.)

(The only real way to know this world is to explore and see it myself.)

(Maybe I should look around and see if I can buy map somewhere or maybe our family library has one.)

"…."

"…."

"?"

"Oh right. I forget to ask, but the people that invited us…... Em… Arivi, right?"

"Who are they?"

"Well, I was going to explain it to you anyway on the way, so listen because its important." – said madam Upira.

"The house of the Arivi are one of the three house in the kingdom with the title duke. They are also related to the royal family."

"Arivi are known for training and giving birth to the talented mages for many generations. Even the current court mage was born in their house."

"So, son, please be respectful towards them. Please treat everyone with respect and caution every member of their family." – said the mother.

"I understand."

(Arivi house huh? They too weren't mentioned in the novel as well, but they seems to hold lot of power considering that they posses title of the duke and being related to the royalty.)

(I have to see myself who exactly are we talking about here.)

Sometime later.

"Madam. We will be soon entering Arivi house estate." – said the carriage coachman.

"Finaly." – said Phan Vvirian.

"Son. Remember what I told you and mind your manners."

"Okay."

After arriving to the Phan Arivi house estate, the boy and his parents left their carriage and headed towards a giant mansion.

The boy's father handed the letter towards the man standing right next to the door, before having it returned.

"Let's go." – said the father.

The trio entered the mansion and as soon as they did that, they entered a wide room, filled with people.

(Wow. There is a way more people than I though. I was sometimes in the parties organized by my job, but there wasn't that many people like here. I'm getting really nervous right now.)

While the boy was looking around nervously, suddenly father patted him on the shoulder and looked directly at him.

"Don't be so nervous. Everything will be fine." – said the father.

"I will try." – said the boy to his father.

The party started around 20 or 30 minute after we got there when the duke Arivi appeared. He appeared to be middle aged man with long hair and the mustache.

The party was lively to said at least. There wasn't anything like loud music playing but just couple of musicians playing on the instruments.

My parents went and met up with some of their friends while I met some children of my age. Honestly at first, I didn't had lot of problem with meeting and talking with people to my surprise. I thought I would have bit harder time with talking with the kids since I regained my memories. It was for some moments annoying, but I manage. Everything went smoothly but over time…. It became very exhausting.

"Em. Mom? I will go out for the moment. I need to take a breath some fresh air." – said the boy.

"Oh. Wait. Excuse me?" – said madam Upira to the servant passing by.

"Yes?"

"Is there any place with not many people and with fresh air?"

"Hm…. Go that way and exit thought that door. There should be the second door right across this one and it should lead you to the training grounds. Since nobody is using it right, there are probably no people there." – replied the servant.

"Okay thank you."

"You are welcome." – said the servant before walking away.

The boy did like the servant instructed and left the hall and moments later arrived to the training grounds.

(Finlay out. God dammed. It was freaking killing me. Does nobles often goes on the big parties like this? That was more tiring than the parties in my old job.)

"Anyway, is there anything I can sit on?"

"…."

"Oh. A bench."

The boy walked straight right and sit down on the bench.

"Fuck me... I can finally sit in peace with nobody bothering me."

As the boy sit, he release a big sigh.

(I can already guess this won't be the first time I will have those kind of parties, since I'm noble. I guess I will be forced to get used to it.)

"I just want to go back home and go back to studding magic."

"…."

"?"

The buy suddenly heard a door opening near him. He turned his head around and saw the same door he just used moments ago opening.

The person that walked out was a little girl with long black hair and purple eyes.

"Oh my god. I'm finally out. How the hell people endure this kind of thing." – said the girl.

"At least those annoying boys won't fallow me here."

(Anyway, is there anywhere I can sit or something?) – though the girl while looking around.

"?"

While the girl was looking around, she noticed the boy staring at her.

"Em…... Hi?" – said the boy awkwardly.

"Hi?" – replied the girl awkwardly as well.

"…."

"So…... You wanted to escape from there as well?" – asked the boy.

"Yea…. Do you mind if I sit next to you?"

"Sure?"

The girl sit on the outer parts of the bench while the boy moved away to the other side of the bench, leaving an open space between two of them.

"…."

(Wow. This is awkward.) – though both of them.

(The atmosphere got really awkward. There is only two of us. Should I start a contestation or something? But she probably left the hall because of the same reason as I did, so wouldn't that just bother her?) – though the boy.

"…."

"…."

"So…. Why you left?" – asked the girl.

"Well, I was tired and annoyed. What about you?"

"Kind of same." – replied the girl.

"….."

"Em… I forgot to introduce myself. My name Iris Necrohearth."

"….. What?" – said the boy while his face changed.

"?"

"C-could…... Could you please repeat that? Your name was?"

"Iris Necrohearth. Is something wrong?"

"No. Just, nothing."

(OF CORSE IS SOMETHING IS WRONG!) – screamed the boy inside of his head.

(IRIS NECROHEARTH?! THE FUCK IS SHE DOING HERE?! I JUST REINCRANATED AND I ALREADY MET ONE OF THE MAIN ATAGONISTS?! WHAT KIND OF SHITTY LUCK IS THIS?!)

Iris Necrohearth.

She was one of the main antagonist in the "Unwritten Tale".

She originally appeared in the novel in the later parts of the story.

Iris Necrohearth was one of the most well known and popular characters from the novel.

In the novel she was known as "Witch Of The Dead". She was extremely powerful and talented necromancer. She killed many people for her "Research" and even killed kingdoms royalties for fun so she could test out her undead experiments against the kingdom elites.

She played her own games and she manipulated the events behind the scenes for her satisfactions.

Heck. When she first time met the main character, she killed one of his companions like nothing and then raised them as undead, right in front of the main character. She appeared many times through the story and was later killed by the main protagonist suicide attack.

(And you are fuking telling me right now, that one of the main antagonist from the novel is right next to me?! How?! She was the noble from the Ilijin kingdom?! There was never ever mention of anything like that in the novel!)

(What do I do?!)

(….)

(Should I kill her?)

(My magic isn't that strong for it to be real danger to anybody, but I could use earth magic to make a rock within my palm and smash her head.)

(But can I really do that?! I never killed anybody in my life AND she is just a child!)

(Should I let her go? But this is the perfect chance to get rid of her and that kind of chance will never come to me again.)

(Fuck me! I don't know what to do!)

"…. Hey?"

"Yes?!"

"Are you okay? You don't look so good?" – asked the girl.

"Its fine. I'm just tired. Don't worry."

(FUCK! I WANT TO SCREAM LIKE MAD MAN! HOW THE HELL IN THIS SITUATION I CAN KEEP MY FUKING POKERFACE?!)

"I see. Anyway, you have my name, but you still haven't told me yours."

"Oh! Sorry. I'm Uri Vvirian from the Vvirian house."

"Uri? Wait... Uri the trash?"

"What?"

"What? Ah! Sorry! I'm talking about the different guy named Uri. He was once bothering me a lot about me becoming his fiancé and all." – replied the girl in the panic.

"…."

(No.)

(She lied. She meant me. But why?)

(I don't think I ever acted like a trash, even before I regained my memories. I don't think I pissed off anybody either?)

(Did I ever acted like a trash?..... No. I never did.)

(Then why she called me a trash? She didn't said "Vvirian the trash" but "Uri the trash", so she must meant me and not my family.)

(…..)

(Wait.)

"Hey. Can I ask you a question?"

"Hm? Yea sure."

"Ever heard of novel name "Unwritten Tale"?"

"…."

The girl expression instant changed upon hearing the name of the novel.

"Hey. You are reincarnated. Aren't you?"
