Shirley glanced out of the corner of her eye and found that the one speaking to her was Thalia, the female lead in the novel. Shirley was honestly shocked at Thalia's arrival, but on the outside she maintained her composure.
Not immediately responding to Thalia's words, Shirley chuckled softly, "Lady Janice, you seem to care a lot about my life," Shirley replied as she turned to look at Thalia who was standing not far from her.
Instead of taking offence to Shirley's reply, Thalia looked calm and replied, "Of course, you're someone who was once close to Victor, so I should care about you." Thalia lashed out with her words, not forgetting the sweet smile perched on her luscious lips.
Shirley actually didn't care much about what Thalia said, but she immediately got a warning from the System to act like the real Shirley. "Damn me System! When will I be able to act on my own without you controlling me!" Shirley's mind was irritated.
If this was the case, then Shirley should be angry or at least try to embarrass Thalia, given that the real Shirley loved Victor very much and was devastated by the cancellation of her engagement to Victor.
