Shirley fell silent when she heard Noah ask her such a question, fortunately she was saved by a knock on the door. Shirley slowly got up to open the door and see who was coming.
"You've finally come, Brother." Shirley lowered her head slightly when she saw that Joseph had arrived along with the guard she had told to pick Joseph up earlier.
"What else are you doing this time, Shirley?" Joseph did not look too happy at the moment, they rarely interacted due to his busy schedule, but their relationship was not that bad since they had the same mother.
But, usually Shirley called him because she had done something bad and needed his help. And this time Joseph had a bad feeling because he did not know how Shirley knew he was at the clinic in Bellfort City.
"I'll explain later, now come with me." Shirley immediately pulled Joseph's arm to enter the room, then she turned to look at the guards, "You just stand guard outside." Then, Shirley closed the door to the room.
Joseph, who was already walking towards the bed ahead of Shirley, was just as surprised as Ivy had been. Joseph did not expect to find the rumoured missing Noah Janice here and again all this had to do with his sister Shirley.
Shirley could already guess what Joseph was thinking at the moment especially when Joseph looked at her sharply, "Like I said before I will explain later. More importantly check on her first, I was told that she has been poisoned, you have to save her," said Shirley, not too happy with how Joseph was looking at her at the moment.
Sighing lazily, Joseph turned his body around and focussed on checking Noah's condition which was indeed looking very bad at the moment.
Seeing Joseph seriously treating Noah, Shirley could only watch and wait anxiously. Shirley hoped that Joseph's help was not too late for Noah, although in return she would have to explain all this mess to Joseph after this.
After a while, Joseph finally finished examining Noah with his powerful magic. From a distance Shirley could see that Noah already looked much better than before.
"How is he, Brother?" Shirley immediately chastised Joseph with her question, she couldn't wait for Joseph to open his voice.
"Very bad, it's a good thing you dragged me here," Joseph replied as he rolled his eyes lazily.
"I mean it, Joseph!" Shirley was very upset because she knew that Joseph was making fun of her right now, it seemed like the damn guard was telling Joseph that he wanted her to drag Joseph to come here as soon as possible.
"You think I'm not serious this time. Shirley, don't mess around! Why is Count Janice's youngest son here with you? And the poison he drank is so dangerous, if you don't call me then he could die!" This time Joseph was really angry with what Shirley had done.
Not only had Shirley kidnapped Noah, but also with the fact that there was deadly poison in Noah's body, Joseph did not think that his sister would torture someone so cruelly.
"I don't know anything about the poison. If it was my doing I wouldn't have called you here and yes about why he's here, I'm sure you know why I did it." Shirley lowered her voice as she was about to finish, knowing that what she had done was wrong.
Joseph didn't know what to say at the moment when he heard Shirley's explanation, he could only hold his aching head while drooping on the sofa. Joseph realised that the current problem was very big, they could not be caught kidnapping a Count's child, if they were caught, then they could be punished severely this time.
"So what's your plan?" After calming himself down Joseph wanted to know what Shirley wanted to do by kidnapping Noah like this.
"For now I'm going to keep him locked up here. And for that I need your help to heal him." Because Shirley still could not OOC, so she still had to keep Noah here until he could gain his freedom from the System.
Joseph was stunned by Shirley's courage to challenge death, it seemed that his little sister was really crazy about Duke Blair to do something extreme like this. Since Shirley had said so, then Joseph would help her as much as possible.
"Whatever you want to do, I'll give you the prescription for the medicine for her," Joseph replied then while writing something down on a piece of paper.
"I really appreciate your help this time. Tell me if you need anything," Shirley replied genuinely happy that Joseph was still willing to help her, even though he knew what he had done.
"Sorry, I can't drive you or anything, I have to go now!" Shirley quickly left the room and gave the paper Joseph had given her to the guard guarding Noah.
Joseph who saw Shirley's departure just sighed, thinking that it seemed like he had to deal with the problem that his sister had caused. The reason was, Joseph knew that Shirley should not be here, but in Wasteland City, which was Marquis Madeline's territory.
"I will make sure you pay dearly for this, little brother." Joseph would gladly stay in this place to look after Noah in exchange for Shirley leaving.
. . .
While Shirley quickly dragged Ivy back to their carriage and left for Wasteland city as quickly as possible, they only had 12 hours left. Shirley and her entourage should be halfway there by now.
Shirley's schedule this time was so tight that she felt suffocated by all the events that had happened to her recently and just so you know, this is all just the beginning of the real nightmare.
Shirley only hopes that there will be no further problems at the banquet, because she is not sure she can still be passive like now if someone provokes her anger later.
It could be that Shirley really becomes like the real Shirley who has a very bad temper.
