"D*mn!" Roars Aranold as he charges towards his friend. He knows that without the help of the triclops, he will be hard-pressed to keep his friend in check.
Leon just smiles as he accelerates using Dragon Flight. After days of practice, he finally learned how to correctly use his new skills.
He even had his system record them for further study.
Dragon Flight: Increase speed in an instant.
Tiger Pounce: Increase physical strength greatly for ten seconds.
Dragon-Tiger Roar: A mental type attack that increases the user's overall strength by half for thirty seconds while at the same time decreasing the strength of the target; an additional effect, if the target's will is weak, will cause immobilisation.
BAM! Aranold punches the triclops as he quickly retreats. He does not want to attack him, but his instinct tells him to do it anyway.
ROAR! The triclops let out a loud cry. His body turns bright red, blazing heat scatters in his surroundings, his skin turns darker, and they look tougher than before.
"Sh*t! That is cheating! Why are you using your Eruption State in a simple spar!?" Curses Aranold. His body is affected by the blazing heat, and he is still unable to fully control his bloodline even with the help of the yin stone.
"Time out!" Leon quickly shouts. He knows his friend's condition and quickly raises his hand. He approaches Blake and slaps his head, not caring about the blazing heat surrounding his body.
"Come on! We had already discussed this! You are forbidden to use this move, I am forbidden to use [Dragon-Tiger Roar], and Aranold is forbidden to force his bloodline to be active!"
Blake takes a deep breath. He releases a long, hot breath of black smoke. "I apologise; I became carried away; the battle has ignited my burning passion for battle."
Leon shakes his head. "I understand what you are feeling, but Aranold's problem is still haunting him to this day. Your heat will only excite the volatile bloodline within him. You know that the three of us need to be in a healthy state for the exhibition match to be held next week already."
The triclops snort, "If only one of us is not a total dead weight."
Leon shakes his head. "Not everyone is willing to risk their lives for just a chance to grow stronger; not everyone is capable of making a decision like what you did."
Blake has decided to actually enter one of the academy's forbidden grounds, the Raging Volcanoes Area; this is where he obtained this new move of his.
What sprung this decision of his is the daily spar against Leon. He quickly realises that he is being left behind rapidly. At first, he is at an advantage in their sparring matches, but his honed senses in countless fights and his own experience have given him a massive advantage against a newbie like Leon.
Unfortunately for him, this did not last long; his opponent managed to learn almost all of his moves and even some of his habits that he did not know. The rapid improvement of his teammate, of course, excites him.
He can feel his strength increasing and his battle style becoming more mature and unpredictable. He is happy that he finally has a competent teammate, but because he sees himself as their captain, he does not want to be left behind so easily.
Aranold sighs. He touches the yin stone and feels relieved. "The power of the yin stone is slowly fading away; together with your outburst, its reserve is now becoming thin!"
Leon frowns. He knows that this spells doom for his friend, and he cannot help but ask, "Have you found any reliable sources to acquire more of it? I can ask brother Pure to help us request more from Lady Lilith, but I would rather not bother him with such a task."
"I also do not want to bother him; after all, he is currently busy with his own advancement," Aranold quickly added, leaving some things unsaid.
He knows that Pure is only interested in interacting with his friend; he only sees him as a plus one. He also knows that, with his meagre strength and the status of his tribe, being able to talk to him is already considered a gift.
"Yes, after my spar with him, it seems that he had gained some new understanding of his technique." Without Blake for him to fight with, he can only seek another opponent. During the time that Blake trains inside the Raging Volcanoes Area, he spends his day training with the monk.
"Actually, I have heard from one of my sparring partners that in one of the academy's forbidden grounds, there exists a place that naturally forms a stone," Aranold quickly says.
"That is great! We can go there! Who knows! Maybe that location can stimulate your bloodline even more!" Leon's eyes light up. This is great news.
"I still do not know what the name of the forbidden ground is; besides, are you truly going there just for my sake?" Aranold asks in disbelief, but he also feels warm inside; having a friend like this is definitely his greatest luck.
"Why don't you ask your sparring partners tomorrow?" he asks. His friend nods. Aranold feels that if even his friend is entering for his sake, he should do all the troublesome work, such as procuring information and their preparation for the journey.
"Your friendship is envious; I wish to obtain a great friend such as you, Cleo." He turns to Sophia, and a look of disgust appears in his face.
"A coward is still a coward no matter what reason you give; one is entering a forbidden ground for his friend's sake, while the other is too afraid to enter one, which is actually just for his sake."
Leon cannot help but sigh inwardly. He realises that the triclops are not that bad; he is just too stubborn and too straightforward. As a human, his value is considered a bit strange, but he accepts that this is the reason why he is considered the strongest individual in their room.
