Chapter 46 - CHAPTER 43 THE ACES

Both Aranold and Blake laugh at Elcio's reaction. Seeing this, the latter becomes confused; he can understand if it was Leon who did not take the situation seriously. After all, his young master has some problems with his memories, but he knows that these two are fully aware of how dangerous the forbidden grounds are.

"Do not look at them in that manner; they are only laughing because, unlike what you have said, I do take this matter seriously, but I only show this reaction because I think it is appropriate. I do not underestimate how dangerous the forbidden grounds are, but this does not mean that I fear them," Leon carefully explains.

He then points at Blake.

"My friend here has actually trained on one of the forbidden grounds, and unlike that person named Aphu, he did not just train outside, within the boundary of the forbidden ground, but went inside it."

Elcio turns to Blake with his mouth agape; he cannot believe that someone in the lower rooms actually dares to go inside and even survive at that.

"I need to do that in order to not be left behind by these two beasts." He laughs out loud as he grabs a piece of volcanic stone and eats it.

"These two?" Elcio looks confused. He turns to both Leon and Aranold. He knows that these two are actually one of the worst students in the academy, not because they do not have the potential to become one of the top warriors in their world but because of their personalities and self-discipline.

"Do not look down on these two; they have changed greatly, especially your young master. Do you not know that he befriended one of the aces and even managed to obtain an item from another top aces?" Blake turns at Leon with a serious expression.

"Aces!" screams the two girls and Elcio; they cannot believe what they just heard. The Aces that they refer to are the beings that managed to step into the top hundreds.

"Why did you not tell us about this!?" screams Marionette, her eyes twinkling. She really wants to know which individual they had befriended.

Blake snorts, then glares at Leon.

"He did not even say anything to me! If not for the fact that the very person visited our room, I would have never imagined that these two idiots would be friends with an ace!"

Now that the three of them are close, Blake is no longer that reserved and formal with them.

"Hey, you cannot blame me on this; I do not want to blemish his reputation with ours; as his friend, we should at least do this," Leon proudly states.

"Do not look at me; the one he is interested in is actually just Cleo; I am considered a plus one. I do not blame him though; accepting me as an acquaintance is already considered a boon for me." Aranold just shrugs his shoulder.

"Oh? You tell them about Pure, but not me?" Suddenly, a beautiful voice can be heard, interrupting everyone's glare. They turn towards the source and see a beautiful woman with a perfect body and a bountiful chest.

"Manager?" Leon is confused. Of course he knows this girl; she was the manager of the massage parlour he works in. After taking multiple missions in this department and earning a great reputation for his skills, he becomes acquainted with the manager.

She had introduced herself as Yesha, but he likes to call her manager since it is her position. In fact, she had tried to change the way he calls her in order to make them closer, but he stubbornly sticks to just calling her manager rather than her name.

Yesha shakes her head after hearing what he calls her. She does not want to let go of someone like him, but unfortunately, he is too causal, only doing things based on how he feels. She was shocked to hear that he had taken other missions, scaring her slightly, thinking that he might have become bored after playing masseur for a while.

In fact, other than veteran customer orcs that frequently visit their establishment, she lets him take the more beautiful clients in order to just keep him working in their establishment.

"The Nerve Destroyer, Yesha of the Needle Martial Clan!" screams the rest; it seems that they know her identity.

"Wow! What a great title! Hey Aranold, what is brother Pure's title?" He does not care about their reaction and asks his friend a question.

They look at him with a speechless expression. Aranold sighs as it seems that he is used to his friend's strange attitude. Yesha chuckles. She is not surprised by his reaction; she has also gotten used to his so-called eccentric personality.

"Young Master Pure's title is the little priest; it is said that he will take the priest position once he reaches a certain level."

"Yes, the young master will definitely take the priest position of our clan once he ascends to the second realm!" A voice appears once again.

Yesha frowns; she does not care if it was Aranold who is speaking because she knows how close he and her little treasure are, but for someone to actually disrespect her for butting in, she becomes a bit irritated.

A group of bald monks being led by a bald female monk approaches their group; the female has her eyes closed as she walks.

Yesha frowns and hisses.

"What are you doing here, ice-cold woman!?"

This monk is actually the bane of her existence; her ability to accurately hit nerves in an instant, even in the middle of an intense battle, has earned her a great reputation, but the monk in front of her is someone she is unable to beat.

She is at 86 in the overall ranking, and the monk in front of her is at 93, but she is still no match for her, not because of the difference between their power and genetic enhancement, but because the monk freezes or even destroys many of her nerves, making her technique useless against her.
