Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Diabolical Plan Part 2

CHAPTER 9

"Well, first things first, Kitten.' Nathan said and slowly circled Neveah, his gaze intense and instantly, Neveah knew that something mischievous was going on in his head, "You've got to stop worrying about the opinions of people around you especially when they are of no use, they'll make you want to shit yourself."

Neveah raised an eyebrow, "I never thought I'd hear my boss speak so crudely."

"You did, three days ago, while we were having sex. If you don't remember, then I can help you regain the memories…"

"Don't say anything else! Just go on with what you were saying before." Neveah interrupted his words with a blush on her face and Nathan smiled innocently, "What? About how we slept together and…"

"No! How you're going to help me."

"Oh that, you should have just said so. We can create a little drama, one that could make him come running instantly or we can take it slow, make him regret what he did and make him understand that you don't want him even if he begs in front of the whole world."

Neveah crossed her arms, interested but skeptical, "And how do you exactly propose I go about that?" She had no idea what to do regarding what he was saying. Nathan chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief as he continued, "Simple, make him jealous. Show him what you lost and luckily for you, kitten, I'm right here to help you with that."

"Help me? Why would you want to do that? You have no reason to help me; do you want something in return? I'm not going to sleep with you again! And what's with the nicknames?!"

Nathan grinned, his face lit up, "Why? It amuses me and it won't hurt to see him squirm in shame and embarrassment, it would be quite entertaining. As for what I want, don't worry about that, you'll know in due time and no, I won't make you sleep with me, but it is something inevitable, after all, you can't resist me."

"It's amazing how arrogant you are Mr. Nathan; I guess the rumors about you are especially true. Look at how sure you are."

"I try my dear, I try. So? Are you going to go on with it? Or do you need me to egg you on?"

"Nope. I'm fully interested in what you have to say, go ahead."

"Well, if you won't mind rumors going around, I suggest we do exactly that. Maybe 'get caught' in a dinner date and let the internet do their thing."

"Rumors? How is that going to help, I genuinely want to know that."

"I'm the boss, the CEO of one of the most popular business companies in the country, and apart from that, I am one of the most sought after bachelors, if people see me with a woman, having dinner and being all lovey dovey, isn't there the chance that he might see it?"

"And that's why you asked if I minded the rumors. People in the office would talk; our relationship wouldn't be professional anymore."

Nathan shrugged, "Then you can continue worrying about Liam and his texts. But trust me, Kitten; a little revenge can be quite therapeutic for you, you might not even want to stop going out with me." Neveah sighed, she couldn't believe that she was actually contemplating on going out with him, well; to others she might have hit the jackpot. Going out with a man as handsome as him is something every girl, including her, at the office wants and she got it.

"Fine. Text me the restaurant but to be clear, I'm doing this for me and not you."

"Sure kitten, everything is for your satisfaction."

The next day, Neveah was standing outside her apartment, all dressed up. Nathan had said he would pick her up later and here she was, waiting for him.

"I know this is a bad idea and yet, I'm still going ahead with this." Neveah grumbled under her breath and until Nathan arrived, she wasn't breathing properly. The moment his black sedan appeared on the road, her breath hitched, it wasn't the same car that he always rode to work.

He parked right in front of her house and when he saw her; he froze for a moment but quickly regained his composure, "Well, you clean up nicely." Nathan complimented and she blushed, he never ceased to make her face hot.

"Stop talking and let's get this over with."

Within a few minutes, the got to the restaurant, ordered food and Nathan did his part. Flirting, charming her with witty conversations and they couldn't help but argue. The restaurant was filled with curious glances and Neveah noticed that, she clenched her hands under the table.

Nathan narrowed his eyes and suddenly leaned in, his lips dangerously close to her ears, "Loosen up, kitten, you're too stiff. It looks like I'm forcing you to go out with me."

"Is that how it looks like? I've never really been on a date like this, even with Liam. He preferred not to be seen outside with me, so we never had dinner dates or anything like that."

"I'm here now, Kitten, just think about me only and forget about the eyes of people looking at you. Focus on me only." They continued discussing, ignoring the people who brought out their phone to take pictures after recognizing who he was.

"Looks like we're the talk of the town already."

"You're too ostentatious, it's cause of you."

"Neveah? What is the meaning of this?"

A familiar voice said and Neveah froze; she slowly turned back to the person who spoke and her voice shook, "Liam…"
