"You know, I've never seen two shameless people who have no sense of shame after trying to frame someone for the same actions that you did. I'm very shocked at this, but… Are you absolutely sure of what you're saying? Can you actually prove your words right now?" Nathan crossed his arms as he stared down at them, the both of them and for some reason, Liam gulped.
"Mister, what are you talking about? Are you trying to say that we're lying? Mister, I know my sister and I know how she has been living her life all these years, you might not know because you just met her and…" Lily stopped when Nathan suddenly walked behind Neveah and drew her closer, her back hit his chest and he wrapped his arms around her.
"Funny enough, I think I do know her more than you do. Don't I, kitten?" Neveah blushed the moment he called her that and she crossed her arms but she didn't remove herself from him, he was warm, and she liked it. His embrace had allowed her to regain her senses, how could she just freeze up like this?
From the corner of her eyes, she could see the reporters at the corner with their cameras and flashing lights. They weren't very subtle about their actions, they didn't need to be.
"Mister, who are you actually? You're just someone she's going to use for money, why are you protecting her like this?"
"I…"
"Lily, why are you trying so hard to make me look bad in front of my boyfriend?" Neveah tilted her head cutely, an innocent expression on her face. Neveah had never cared to use her charms before but now, she didn't care, and she apologized to Nathan inwardly for what she wanted to do.
"Your boyfriend?' lily screeched, her voice a bit higher than she intended.
"We broke up, Liam, days ago. Since you don't remember, how about I try to jog up your memory?" Neveah reached for her phone; it was close to her. She did something on the phone and after a few seconds, a loud voice came from the speakers.
"You're crazy, Lily. You're fucking crazy! Liam, aren't you going to say something? I spent all of my money on you, you deadbeat bastard! I spent everything I earned on you! From your hair to your feet, I clothed you and did everything for you, but this is how you repay me? Good! Very good! From now on, we're over! Done! You can go ahead and fuck yourselves till you drop dead. I don't care about shit anymore."
The first recording played out and everyone there could recognize Neveah's voice from the recording, Lily and Liam stiffened up, their faces turned white.
"N… Neveah… What are you trying to do? Do you think yelling at yourself would change anything? Stop trying to frame me and just admit your mistakes already!" Lily screamed, she was trying to smile, although it looked more like a grimace than anything else.
"Right. Mr. Nathan, I recognize you, you're someone who is famed in the business world by being a careful and wise person, you shouldn't allow a woman to ruin your company, she's not worth it."
"And who are you to tell me what to do?" Nathan snapped, his left hand tightening around Neveah's shoulders as his right hand slid down to snake around her waist. The red tinge on Neveah's face deepened, he was taking liberties now!
"You shouldn't judge before you know the whole story, if this is how you run your company; making decisions before proving the rumors, you should be ashamed of yourself." The person who had spoken bit his lip in embarrassment and he turned away.
"Alright! I tried to warn you, if something happens, you can only blame yourself!"
"Don't worry, even if anything happens to me or my company, your company will still stay at the lowest part of the pyramid so I think it's okay." Nathan smiled at him, the man groaned and walked briskly out of the restaurant.
"Now that we've gotten that over with, why don't you show them true evidence, kitten?"
Lily stared at them in confusion; she wondered who this man was to have such an effect on everyone in the restaurant. He is handsome; very handsome, it would be nice to seduce him after Neveah is dealt with, she thought. However, Neveah nodded to Nathan's words and turned her phone horizontally in order to show the video very well, some people even came closer to look at it and gasped when an erotic sounded suddenly filled the air.
It was a bit blurry but the people who went closer, including Lily and Liam were able to see who was in the video, it was clearly the both of them and thankfully, the video had full sound. They could all see when Neveah came inside and how it all went.
"Now then, how about you retract your false accusations and say the truth, after all, true evidence is here." Neveah tapped on her phone and smiled at him, a true happy smile. For once in her life, she has been able to outdo Lily at her own game; she greatly enjoyed the expression on her face. Just like Nathan said, revenge was very healing; it made her feel a kind of happiness. Even though they were the ones who brought themselves to her doorstep.
"You… How dare you…" Lily lunged at Neveah with hatred in her eyes, why couldn't she just go down obediently, like she had always done. A loud slap sounded in the air as Lily stumbled back; she held her red throbbing cheeks in shock. Neveah had slapped her too.
"Listen very carefully Lily, I have changed, I will not take any insolence from you, not any longer, I have endured long enough. Also…" Neveah suddenly turned around in Nathan's arms, put her own arm around his shoulders and pressed her lips against his and kissed him.
The man was shocked and he couldn't respond before Neveah pulled away, "I didn't introduce him to you but now I'm doing this officially, this is my boyfriend, Nathan Thorne, and he's mine so you'd better not do anything or even try to seduce him because if you do, I'll make sure to make your life miserable."
Lily stiffened up, her pupils trembling; the corner of her lips was already bleeding from the slap and from her biting her lips too much. Neveah and Nathan turned to leave; Nathan slung Neveah's bag over his shoulders, it was a sight to see.
"Oh and…" Neveah said over her shoulders, "Tell you parents to leave that house if they don't want to be embarrassed, after all, I was the one who had been paying for the house and I have no intention to continue to do that any longer. Goodbye Liam, I hope not to see you again."
